Fun fact, something they don't mention in the game: The Seven Dwarves were the ones that abused, mistreated, and enslaved Snow White at the time. They were anything but friendly. So yeah, never mention the dwarves around Snow.

1:26:17 There's a reason for that. Smoking dulls his sense of smell, being a wolf and shit, that's the only way he can live in a city. You, as in all of you, should read Fables. It's brilliant.
I think the sequel getting tossed was part of the same mismanagement that led to the collapse of Telltale Games. I understand they've been reopened under new management and retain the rights to some sets of IP (like The Wolf Among Us and Batman), but that sudden closing remains a mystery to me. I know they blamed it on sales not being as strong as they had thought, but something about it still feels hinky.
@@chrisd7047 I think it's cause they made that dumb deal with Netflix to like basically port Minecraft story mode to the Netflix interactive thing. Honestly I was mad cause we got season 2 of fuckin Minecraft before we got the wolf among us 2. That's a crime alone right there.

With Fables in the original comic, their immortality is tied to the knowledge of their particular fairy tale role amongst normal/mundane people (Mundies). Bigby who appears in a few different stories is pretty safe, while Woody would probably be permanently dead if he was ever killed, though as the intro shows he can take a lot of punishment.
Just to clarify a widely misunderstood concept about the Fable-verse: All Fables have more-or-less infinite natural lifespans in the mundane world, but only those whose stories are widely remembered and retold are capable of resurrecting from the dead if something that can kill them does (even the least-remembered Fables are quite a bit hardier than mundies).
@2wingo I remember this is why, in the comics, Rose Red is one of those is who is more wary of putting herself in physical danger since she isn't as well known as her sister.

Toad is from a book called Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. The book is set in a sort of Edwardian English setting (about 1900-1914) and focusses on four anthropomorphic animal characters; Mole, his friend Ratty and their mutual friends Toad and Badger. Toad in the story is a bit of a handful and is constantly having to be bailed out of trouble by his friends. Basically the closest thing I can compare it to is Winnie the Pooh but with the characters being adults and with a lot more peril and threat.

When coming to the new world, every Fable signed a general amnesty that gave them forgiveness for all their past crimes(Bigby himself had killed hundreds in his quest to be "the Big Bad Wolf", but there are others like Jack of Tales who killed giants or Bluebeard(who murdered all his wives)that also benefitted from it. Beauty and TJ are voiced by Melissa Hutchinson(Clementine from "the Walking Dead"). Bigby smokes so much because his wolf senses are so strong that he is in constant overload from the city. The cigarettes block his senses, thats why he discards the cigarettes whenever he's working a crime scene. Lawrence tried to kill himself multiple ways after Faith left him, including pills, gunshot to the heart and slit wrists. If you choose to go to him first, you arrive before Dee arrives and he survives, as he doesn't shoot himself in the head. If you ask Woody if he killed Faith, he seems shocked that she is dead and mentions being thrown down the Witching Well(which Bigby threatens Dee with later). The Witching Well is one of the only ways to deal with dangerous Fables or execute them. The blue haired man, Gren, is Grendel from the epic poem "Beowulf". In the original poem, Beowulf tears his arm off and you can see his shoulder has a mark from where his arm was reattached. If you were mean, you could have reenacted the story. :)

I am kinda late here but... He isn't a fable that have to take a glamour to turn in human....he is a wolf that without any glamour (all by himself) can turn himself into a human...that's make him even more badass 🐺
Well ... sort of. The truth is that Bigby was infected with lycanthropy ... by Snow White. She stabbed him with an enchanted blade that gave him the condition. Bigby consented to her doing it though, as it was necessary to enable him to take human form. Prior to that, Bigby's only form was his true form: The Big Bad Wolf. Which we see later in this series.
I’m so happy to see you playing this!! One of my absolute fav Tell-Tale games besides GOT and TWD series! Hope you enjoy playing it, and thanks for the early Christmas present!!
Fun fact: The TV shows "Grimm" and "Once Upon a Time" were both supposed to be TV adaptations of Fables. Due to various reasons including the writer's strike at the time, as well as being bought up by Disney, the shows were retooled to be their own thing.
BIGBY smokes a lot of cigarettes because as a wolf, his senses of hearing and smell get over loaded from smelling every strong scent and hearing every loud noise in New York. He smokes to dile his senses down a notch so he doesn’t go crazy. He smells and hears everything.
From every midsole of food, to trash, puke, carbon smoke coming out of taxis and complains how people( Mundies and fables alike) completely drench themselves in perfume and colon, which hurts his nose.
Even though everything you play and watch is something I've seen before, you still manage to make me excited about it as if I'm experiencing it for the first time all over again. Your channel gives me so much joy!
@@lordfarquad2124 If I remember correctly, there is a Book of Fables entry in a later chapter that explains it. I think Snow cut him with a special knife before leaving the Homelands.
This is a perfect game to stream. I remember playing episode 1 with my gf back when it first came out, we reached the end and we got literal chills. Hope you enjoy this game as much as we did.
1:35:15 That was the ol' "leave a door or window open to make them think I went that way" trick. You were supposed to notice the 3 swinging on the other door.
When I played this game the 1st time I heard the door slam which actually made me think he went through the closed door which of course I was right but still did not really change the outcome of the chase but yeah the number swinging would have been the other clue.
What I really love about this game is... Bigby is just as bad as you make him out to be. He's a reflection of the player's own moral values + immersive and empathic capacity. A lot of people try to dissociate themselves from this detail, but even if there's no IRL consequences to your choices, they will impact the game's outcome eventually, and that can either be your reward or your punishment. It's not a rule set in stone, but it makes u wonder what it takes for a person to choose to be good.
So glad to see you're playing this. Easily my personal favorite Tell-Tale game, and hopefully (I know I heard this somewhere) it's getting a sequel under the/a new company.
It is getting a sequel under AdHoc Studio. A new studio founded by former Telltale devs. Two of which being Nick Herman and Pierre Shorette, two of the lead writers/directors of The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands.
In the Fables comics Sleeping Beauty goes by the name Briar Rose and Beauty(wife of Beast)often called Belle is just Beauty. Also Grimble is a bridge troll. P.S. Bigby smokes to dull his heightened sense in a city like New York.
Wow, what an original playthrough! Not only are the speech choices ever-so-slightly different that they drag out just the right bit of info surprisingly early (except for the part where the Woodsman never even heard about Faith xD), I didn't expect anyone to know the "girl with the ribbon" story...
Main character in a Telltale game: (Is alone with an adult of the opposite sex for more than 0.3 nanoseconds.) Tofu: "OMG I ship theeeeeeeemmmmmm!" 1:31:47 - Ah, yes... sleeping pills. The drug of choice for drug addicts... "Yo man, you lookin' for that Lunesta hook up? I got Eazzz, I got Nyquil, Hell, I've even got benzodiazepine if you *REALLY* want to not party! One little pill and you'll be in dream land until the *SUN* comes up baby! Just be quick, the 5-0 doesn't take kindly to the Sandman around these parts if you know what I mean..."
According to the Fables comics series, Bigby is constantly smoking to blunt his canine sense of smell, which would drive him crazy (and more wolflike) otherwise.
This game and it's upcoming sequel (which comes out sometime next year) are both prequels to DC's Fables comic series. The game is set in 1986, nearly 20 years before the events of Fables. After you play this, you should really play Tales from the Borderlands too, it's one of the funniest games I've ever played.

Wolf actually doesn't use a glamor. He's *THE* Wolf, and Snow White infected him with lycanthropy to give him a human form. Incidentally, this gave him a vulnerability to silver, giving the strongest Fable around an exploitable weakness, but we're just gonna move right along past that-

Trivia: He smokes so much to dull his senses.
But the only small it can't dull is Sonw's.
@@valentinkambushev4968 that’s a fact- Trivia: Bigby doesn’t have a glamour so what does he have
@@lordfarquad2124 If I remember correctly, there is a Book of Fables entry in a later chapter that explains it. I think Snow cut him with a special knife before leaving the Homelands.
@@petrusjnaude7279 you got it!!!!! U Win!!! Lol
I'm going to enjoy this new series. I really loved this game but only ever played it once. Really need to get back into it
One of the best Telltale stories. One of my favorite content creators.
Oh yeah, it’s all coming together.
This is a perfect game to stream. I remember playing episode 1 with my gf back when it first came out, we reached the end and we got literal chills. Hope you enjoy this game as much as we did.
2 Characters spoke to each other.
Tofu: "Okay I definitely like them together."
When she did a reference to Kratos, I knew this lp is special
It's not a rule set in stone, but it makes u wonder what it takes for a person to choose to be good.

i am so glad that u picked up this, its one of best things made , pure art in terms of gaming
I’m glad u started playing this game it’s full of mystery n a lot twist ends towards the episodes, can’t wait see more
I LOVE the Wolf Among Us. One of the first games I remember watching on UA-cam. Super excited for The Wolf Among Us 2
If you had threatened Toad, his son would have walked out of the room and seen the violence. He wouldn't trust you anymore after that.
"Gorilla Grip Coochie"... okay officially stealing that phrase *lol*
So glad to see you're playing this. Easily my personal favorite Tell-Tale game, and hopefully (I know I heard this somewhere) it's getting a sequel under the/a new company.
I'm just saying I'd punch a frog for a sequel to this game 😭
there was a teaser trailer that was released for the sequel almost a year maybe around 8-11 months ago
It is getting a sequel under AdHoc Studio. A new studio founded by former Telltale devs. Two of which being Nick Herman and Pierre Shorette, two of the lead writers/directors of The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands.
@@eon827 that might have even been where I saw that.
@@yuno1380 it's good to hear there'll be returning creatives.
To me, this was the best Tell Tales game ever, I hope to experience more some day.
I know what I’m watching tonight!
Main character in a Telltale game: (Is alone with an adult of the opposite sex for more than 0.3 nanoseconds.)
Tofu: "OMG I ship theeeeeeeemmmmmm!"
1:31:47 - Ah, yes... sleeping pills.
Toads son is such a sweetheart.
According to the Fables comics series, Bigby is constantly smoking to blunt his canine sense of smell, which would drive him crazy (and more wolflike) otherwise.
colins scene is basically saying what your in for.. the mountain your gonna climb. HOW you do it is up to you
*2 people get along with no romance tension whatsoever, just good friends or people who just simply get along.*
Tofu : I ship them.
Oooo you're in for a treat. This is masterful story telling, probably the best Telltale has to offer. The world has such a unique magical-noir vibe to it and it's characters are most interesting. Enjoy!
Ah, you're a hardcore shipper...great. Well, you'll enjoy it nonetheless
Tales from the borderlands is the best game in my opinion
@@dan290786 Fair enough. Wolf Among Us is still the most unique of the bunch
@@diegopansini3152 Tales had very little publicity upon release which is why many overlooked it at the time but was very successful all the same. I remember Troy Baker saying he had wished more people had known about it because it was one of his favourite projects to work on.
I hope Tori plays this game soon though! She’ll love it so much and i love wolf among us too
@@dan290786 Agreed. That game is underrated
Me: *sees thumbnail*
My daddy kink: I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED
I'm glad you speak your mind in mystery games like these. It really shows how close and or how far you are a from solving the mystery. You catch a lot btw, at least more then I did when I played.
Whoa. I love the Wolf story, saw many letsplays of it and NOBODY I've seen ever made the ribbon connection already in the first episode. Kudos to you, girl 😲😲😲
Also... almost nobody saved Prince Lawrence by visiting him first, waaah!
Fun trivia: Bigby smokes so heavily to dull his sense of smell.
Now I feel like going back replaying this game
Wolf actually doesn't use a glamor. He's *THE* Wolf, and Snow White infected him with lycanthropy to give him a human form. Incidentally, this gave him a vulnerability to silver, giving the strongest Fable around an exploitable weakness, but we're just gonna move right along past that-
Grendel is the monster from the ancient legend of Beowulf. Having the choice of ripping off his arm is a reference to how Beowulf tore off Grendel's arm in their fight at Hrothgar's Hall.
Omg I love this UA-camr
You play Rdr2,Miles Morales,Little Hope and now Wolf Among us!
I’m excited for this one 😅
This is literally my number one favourite game of all time, and it has everything I love
The more popular a fable is, the harder they are to kill.
Though still can be hurt.
Oooh hello there missy ! I see you're playing my favorite Telltale game ! That's great ! Can't wait to see more of your reactions in this fantastic game ! :D
(Bigby IS a cutie, and I think his voice actor did a great job :D)
best Telltale game imo. everything is important. all a piece of the puzzle
This is actually my favorite Telltale games I love it 😍🔥
im not familiar with the comic books but this game is so amazing in that its done in such a stylized way leaning towards the neo noir genre. if you love movies like Drive, The Thief, Old-boy or Terminator as examples i feel like one can really enjoy this.
The sequel is coming out and this just got me so damn excited! Thank you for the upload!
