Alexei Voloshin Like for example: The guy on Redline reviews (who has 756,000 subscribers) was testing a Lexus RX350L, and said several times that the “L” is for long wheelbase. I finally unsubscribed from him at that point.
This video took me back to when I owned an E90 325i. I took it to BMW Roswell to have the fuel pump looked at. The service advisor informed me that they would be providing me with a loaner car for about 2 days. At the end she asks 'sir, are you able to drive a 2 seater with a stick?' I told her yes. I assumed I would be given the keys to a garden variety z4. Imagine my surprise when I noticed 4 tailpipe tips out back and an M-badge on the rear! The service advisor hops out the car, gives me the keys with a smile and says 'enjoy!'....and that I did! First and only M-car I ever drove....nothin else like it! In about 12 years since then, at least in Atlanta, I've seen only one out and about, they're super rare!
You won't truly understand without actually driving different cars. Video reviews only help you connect the dots with stuff you actually felt for yourself.
@@Syncopia The best thing about Savagegeese vs the other channels is that Mark doesn't hold back with his (often negative) opinions, whereas others just give you facts and don't crap on cars (possibly to avoid rubbing the manufacturers the wrong way?) when it is warranted. Now, with that said, I do think Mark is overcritical sometimes about certain things (such as interior design. I don't mind tablet style screens but it REALLY bothers him), but I would rather Mark be overcritical than not make his issues known.
I sold my Z4 (E85) 5 years ago for the new Z4 (E89) ...OMG was that a mistake !!! Luckily the fun is back now with a Miata ND RF . Not as impressive but fast, agile and completely driver oriented.
Already the penultimate unreliable machine by this stage unfortuantely - only beaten by Audi. I guess now they are 3rd most unreliable German manufacturer as Mercedes has taken pole position in recent years. Still, fuck owning a 13 year old BMW, I've got better things to do with my time and money.
Matthew Sharpe well you’d better go buy that Toyota or Honda. PS, I have 2 Honda JDM DC2Rs, Totally reliable, and huge fun, in the garage with my Z4M Coupe :)
@@Audidude Nah, BMW's are great when new, I just make sure I get rid of them at the end of the lease or before the warranty expires, because after that it's a ticking time bomb.
So true. I remember looking at a new E46 back in 2005. Seemed like a great car dynamics-wise, loved the engine. In the end, because of winter conditions I would drive in often, and a way nicer interior, I went for an '05 A4 (B6) with no regrets to this day. I still have that Audi, love it, but retired it as my daily a few years ago past 100k miles to preserve what life it has left in it. With modern cars and electric power steering, too much tech, etc. I realized you really don't know what you have until it's gone! I had hoped to get a BMW someday as a fun second car, but everything they make now doesn't have the soul the old ones used to. I hope they return to form someday!
It' double shot: most underrated channel reviews such underrated car. I've bought Z4 coupe (non M) with 3.0 motor and I love it. It's really dedicated car that gives you special feeling when you drive it. You have said it: it's not 3 or 5 series that tries to be a sport car. I assume it will rise in value in near future, because of rarity: only 4k where made. Even not all BMW fans know about this car. So when you see Z4M you know its likely the person who owns it bought it because they specifically wanted it. I'm excited for future reviews of such unique and underrated cars. Love your channel!
Yup, my buddy has a 3.0 roadster and it's fantastic. Much better than my e46 3.0 convertible with the same engine. It just feels special. And much more rigid.
@@m1l3s27 yes, same here. I was looking for weekends car and z4 give this special feeling, because of 2 seats, ride position (on rear wheel), long hood, etc
I have the 3.0si coupe with 52k on the clock. Only 828 sold with a manual transmission in the North American market so I was lucky to find it. The power curve is so nice for the street. Plenty of torque down low.
I’ve got a 3.0si Coupé as well! It’s nice to hear from people that have them too! I’ve own mine for five years and have never seen another one on the road nor met anyone who owns one. That’s the downside to owning a rare car I guess.
Casey Schmidt why downside? I see only one problem with rarity: huge prices for some parts comparing to regular 3/5 series(3-5 times). Also poor support from 3rd party manufacturers. Other than that this unique shape of Z4 coupe takes a lot of attention on street.
Great review, as always. Thank you. I had a Z4MR (for what I enjoy about driving, the benefits of a convertible more than compensate for what is lost) and loved it so much that when I unfortunately crashed it, after shopping around for a new thrill, I replaced it another Z4MR. And I still love it so much that even after being fortunate enough to upgrade to an R8 V10 a few years later, I have kept the Z4. Amazing engine, and all around great machine. I hope to enjoy it for decades to come.
Yeah its certainly a special car. I agree that this is a car that deserves to be a convertible for the driving experience, although I think it looks better as a coupe. An intake fixes the induction noise. I was fortunate enough to 'upgrade' to an F-Type but also kept my Z4M for weekend drives.
@@joeltunney2016 F-Type must be great fun! And yep, I've got an intake made by Evolve on my Z4M. Not the same as the full in CSL Carbon box, but it didn't cost much and makes a great noise.
Just bought one of these, and it definitely feels like I got in on something before they blow up. Such a good car for their current prices. Edit: I got mine for $27,500 but it has some miles and a few nicks.
Don’t buy it and keep it in the garage it’s entire life. Put miles on it and use it regularly for years. These cars are designed to drive and drive and drive.

This is my favorite car in the history of mankind. I already knew every single fact stated in the video, and had a shameful amount of more facts and numbers popping in my mind throughout it. I may have seen this specific exemplar for sale. If I go to my grave without having owned at least one of these, I know I failed. I believe actually loving physical objects is wrong. But I can't help it with this one.
I hmmmed and hawwwed for a while about buying an 07 M coupe, then I came across your video. You pushed me over the edge and I'm now the owner of a beautiful example in Interlagos Blue WITHOUT the nav. Your production quality and review style is the best I've come across. Subscribed!
Love any older or retro car content ... Keep it coming if possible !! All of us drivers feel the same way... Old school 6MT with a good powertrain is all we need.
I liked the original Z4 so much, that I went back and got a Z4M Coupe for track days even after special ordering a 991.2 C2S. It’s a great car and what a pleasant surprise to see it reviewed here. Thanks!
Z4 M Coupe is definitely a bucket list car. The complaints about the shifter are valid, but they're due to the shift carrier arm being on very soft bushings, and the shifter itself pivots on a nylon ball and socket. $300 bucks will fix it with teflon carrier bushings and a short shifter, although the short shifters really require a much greater effort than stock, which takes getting used to. BMW, like almost everyone else, has abandoned N/A engines, and it's a crying shame. Even their run of the mill engines like the N52 will put a smile on your face. When you mentioned that the party starts at 5500RPM, I laughed out loud. I know exactly what you mean. These cars are pretty quick if you keep the revs up. Great review, as always. Keep them coming!
Great review. I have a 3.0si Coupe over here in the U.K. Undoubtedly the best car I have owned and driven. I found the 3.0si a much easier car to live with than the M, mainly to do with the M version’s harsh ride on the UK’s compromised road surfaces! With so few of both versions produced, particularly in right-hand-drive, they are a rare sight. I went for ruby black over piano black accents and parchment interior, in my opinion the best colour combination. They are an involved drive, sound magnificent and in my view the last old school BMW’s.
I was so stoked to see this review when I finally got my sorry quarantined self going today! Love the editing, camera work, information, humor ... I could go on and on- it’s all so good and always getting better. I watch a lot of car reviewers on UA-cam but your videos stand out for the immense amount of effort you guys put into making sure you have the best out there. Thank you for entertaining and educating us about cars new and old!
Do these need all parts to be programmed to the chassis when they are installed like on the E90? This is an E8X chassis, so maybe they are slightly easier to deal with? I almost bought an E90 last year that needed a headlight, but the procedure to install a new headlight sounded crazy, so I ended up with an E36 instead.
@@bradcomis1066 DME and other modules all need to know what is on the car. Carly gives an easy way into coding, but other more precise and inexpensive ones are available and well documented on the web.
I come back to this video every now and then. My uncle had this car but it wasn't a M. He had a red convertible while I had a convertible 350Z that I got when I was 24 years old. We used to drive them a lot during the summer. I still want this car without the convertible in a long list of cars I want to own. Great video I'm sure I'll be back here again in another year or so.
One of the most important things of driving a Z4 is the layout of the "driving" itself. The driver sits at the rear axle and it is totally unique and one of a kind. This, and the perfect weight distribution gives a very special feel to it. Love my roadster
I disagreed with your reviewed of the F10 M5. I own one and feel it is fantastic and reliable for what it is. I have to agree with what you said about the z4m. This in my opinion is BMW at its best. High revving straight six, sounds amazing, performance that makes you smile every time you drive it. We live in a strange time when you need to buy older cars to get a better driving experience. This car for me is just epic. The experience just dominates everything else. I owned one of these some 10 years ago and if I knew that cars would have become more expensive and worse to drive I think I would have made different decisions. BMW just don't offer a car that is this engaging anymore. No one really does. My kids are already calling who gets what when I die.
The Best Sport Coupe of BMW in the 21st century. Best NA inline 6 ever, best design ever, best Z ever. The long hood and extreme short tail hard-top coupe make this car an eternal role model of design. So great
As someone who owns an S54, I don’t believe for one second that they actually fixed the rod bearing issue. If you own one of these, you gotta do it every 80k miles, and get oil analyses. You just can’t have an undersquare motor that revs to 8 grand, and not have rod bearings issues. Take care of your VANOS too. Beisan and dr. VANOS have you covered. They’re such great goddamn engines. Love mine to death.
@Stephen Baker F20/22C absolutely you have to keep up with rod bearing maintenance. Rod bearings are simply a wear item with high horsepower, high revving engines, especially undersquare ones.
Well they fired that CEO who’d been ruining the BMWs “Drivers car” experience to compete with Mercedes and Audi. It’s gonna take some time until we see all the bad decisions the previous CEO did is gone but just wait.
I just paid $50K for a 2007 car with 13,500 miles. This is my second one. I think that these cars are totally awesome. Poor man’s 997 GT3. And I am actually a 997.2 GT3RS owner.
Excellent review as always. I also love that you do older cars, but only sometimes. And when you do, they are very good choices. I really was interested in trying one of these out as an upgrade from my BRZ. But I couldn't find one before I found a great Boxster S a couple weeks ago.
I had the exact same experience, just with a Cayman S instead. For the price it really is hard to beat the BRZ for a properly fun car to drive, outside of a Miata.
I bought one brand new in 2007, kept it 8 years, immediately regretted selling it in 2015, finally righted my mistake and picked up another in late 2018. Pristine, stock, 34k-mile example. Not giving this one up - it's with me for the duration. Such fantastic cars, finally starting to earn the appreciation they've deserved since the beginning.
Particularly loved this review. I have a '07 Z4 coupe (not M) and it is easily the most fun and amazing car I've ever owned. Shame I couldn't make myself afford the price difference ($16k vs $40k) but my Z4 only has 40k miles and was immaculately kept so I get to enjoy most of the benefits that the M has for less than half the cost.
Loved your review. I've had my 2007 Z4MC for 10 years now and I still get pumped driving it. Definite emotional connection for me. I still also get pumped by the car's lines - they are perfect IMHO. Best car I've ever owned and it's not even close.
I had a Z4M Coupe for a few years. I think 36k is too much, unless it's very very low mileage maybe. I paid $26k for mine in 2017 with 68k miles, very clean example. Needed a vanos rebuild which I did myself with all the upgraded aftermarket parts (about 1k for all the parts). After that, absolutely bullet proof (warm the oil up!). I did about 10 track days in it, and I didn't hold back, oil analysis always checked out clean. Great GT car for sporty road trips too. The only additional negative is the single piston brakes tend to feel just a bit weak at the track. Sold it for 28.5k last year. This brought back some good memories and you were spot on, thanks Goose!
@@Casey_Schmidt If you are looking for a raw track fast car that you can rev out then go for the Z4M, if you are looking for a much more drivable daily car that you don’t have to Rev out with low down torque then stay with your 3.0si as you are missing out but not a huge margin. I live in a very congested city so my si is ideally suited as I have driven both cars. The M is very twitchy and suits the more advanced drivers who can extract the power and control it. This is my personal experience driving both cars, M is the fastest no question.
For the longest time I debated between this z4 M and Tesla model 3. Went with model 3 for reliability reasons but this car is one of the greatest cars ever made. Drives phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal.
Bought my 2007 5 years ago for $30K with a little more than 35K miles. Hands down the best car I have ever driven much less owned. If you can find a good one, low mileage, without the nav screen, buy it.
I had a 08 3.0si coupe, this video brought back so many memories of the fun I had. Sadly my younger brother crashed it when it had about 140K miles. Insurance gave me 16K, used some of it to buy an E46 ZHP. Needless to say I love BMWs of that era.
There is something to be said about the Bangle era BMW’s, besides their butts that are surprisingly aging quite well. They really are the last analog ultimate driving machines. I own an F80 M3, mostly due to lack of better options, needing four doors (baby) and wanting a stick, and I think that’s more of an indictment of all modern cars than BMW. Cars have gotten blistering fast, and to keep us from killing ourselves with power we don’t need, have gotten numb. I’m in product development in a different industry, but full well know the conundrum of giving features you know aren’t used through design studies, but also know that people won’t buy the product if those features are omitted. However, I will say my M3 has grown on me. The more I get to know it, the more I appreciate what it is, although I miss the intangible buzz you get from older BMW’s, like this fine example.
I love him minus his pants that he's wearing -( JOKE ) - just further expanding on the comment above (I can even make a joke about something else expanding, but then I would be only joking as well).
Had a 06 e46 m3 comp pck. What you said about having a rough day and jumping in to drive home or some where else, 100% correct. Red line the first two gears, brake a bit later than usual before a turn, power out AND MOOD IS CHANGED. Never thought I'd keep a car that long (9 years) it was a blast a good portion of the time.
Speaking of not rewarding hamfisted driving, i totaled mine on a back road in MI. Like a real dirt bag. Incredibly enjoyable car, more fun to drive than E46M3 imo. Interior quality, i felt, was quite a bit worse than my E46 however. Felt flimsy, developed quite a few squeaks and rattles for a low mileage car. I did enjoy this more as an occasional car, M3 was still a better daily. Nothing too shocking, and definitely not a deal breaker if youre considering one, but its a tight cabin(good and bad). Agree on the comments about finding a clean one these days. I paid 29 for a 21kmi Interlagos/Black in 2014. I would have to pay close to 43k for a comparable one today. I still search occasionally, but the value just isnt there anymore imo as the maint costs continue to climb up and up and up. Will be one of the more collectible BMWs in the future imo, the hatch brought this design to another level. Solid machine, incredibly underrated. Great vid as always, appreciated
I just purchased a 2006 Z4M roadster. Love the car. Some points to add, the previous owner sold the car because of difficulty getting in and out of it. Its very low, so if you have any issues with mobility, this may not be the car for you. The car has a long front end, so be careful parking. The long hood, short rear deck makes the pivot point of the car just behind the driver seat. It's a different feeling, but fun. This car has an edge, it will bite you if you screw up. The handling isn't benign like most modern cars. There is a learning curve. I would imagine many of these vehicles were written off over the years, so who knows how many are left. Loved the review of this special drivers car, good work guys.
Great review! Really enjoyed it. One point to note - the S54 in the Z4M you featured did not have the rod-bearing issue sorted. All S54's require rod-bearings as routine maintenance every ~100k km regardless of production year. Plenty of documented cases on many forums of S54 rod-bearing failure from all production years. Regardless, awesome review :)
I had one of these as my daily driver for 3 years. I sold it for 5k€ more with 40tkm more on the clock. Best deal I have ever made on a car. Brillant Drivers car! Even my wife liked it! And that means alot!
I love this car. Was taken for a drive in it by a kind stranger as a student back in 2008. Till today I've never been in anything more exciting. I've driven many high performance cars since then, they may be faster, but nothing felt more thrilling. Intend to buy one very soon.
I leased one of these for $599 a month for a BMW dealer in Cincinnati (my compliments to them). BMW couldn't push these out the door, so they started make some killer deals. Now, I'd had two clown shoe M Coupes (99 in Black and 01 in Red) and fell in complete love with the 2007 in White over Black. My best bud bought a Cayman S in black at the same time, BTW. I liked his car, but loved mine. Bottom line, the Cayman was the better sports car, but the M Coupe was the wild fling you have over a summer that flamed white hot. Being in love versus being in lust. Those lust types of relationships never last, but trust me, you will remember those tingles until your last breath.
Best explanation I’ve ever heard of what has been lost with modern bmw’s. I went from an E36 M3 I loved to a E90 M3 that I couldn’t ever connect with. A S2000 followed (which was great fun but maybe a little too much for daily). Settled in now with a 981 base. In the words of the three little bears... just right
Classic sports coupe, we got here. I love these. The Bangle era was the best period for BMW. I don't know who is in charge of design now, but the current lineup does not convey the same enthusiasm and passion that the Bangle cars did. Especially the M products.
The Bangle cars are timeless so far. E85 Z4 especially. Not a bangle era car but: I still think the E46 is the best design ever made. Absolutely Perfect. Luv and Peace.
This video brought me all sorts of memories. I owned one of those for 8 years back in the UK and only sold it because I was relocating to the US. It brought me a smile each time I drove it and I haven't found a motor that made me feel like that. When buying that I also test drove the Cayman and couldn't shake the feeling that the computers were driving the Porsche. The BMW felt rawer and more fun. I replaced the clutch fuel valve with a hollow one, changed the wheels and installed the front strut brace in the engine bay to remove understeer and it was a joy to drive.
This made me miss my 07 M Coupe. My daily driver for 8 years. It was loads of fun. I don’t miss the repair and maintenance costs and losing sleep over when the VANOS is going to die!!
The VANOS repair by Beisan is just 72 GBP though. Just curious. Aside from the 10w60 and the VANOS, what exactly scared you? My Z3M has been pretty reliable.
No subframe issues. Mind you that I’m not very mechanical so all the service was done by the dealer. The valve adjustment every 30k miles was around 800 USD. Simple oil change was 300. Replaced power steering pump 1200 USD. 900 USD to change the ignition coils at 40 k because 2 of them just died. Then at about 60k miles it didn’t start when you turned the key. Nothing happened. Battery was changed, battery cables then the starter. Basically 2000 USD later still same issue. Every other time when you started I had to turn the key 10 times to start. Sold it back to the dealer. Actually got a decent price for it. It sat on the lot for 3 days and then sold. The sales guy told me somebody bought on the internet it they shipped it to them unseen and as is. Curious to find out what the new buyer did with getting the car started. Now I drive an M235i. Trouble free for 5 years. No where near as fun though.
Probably it was just the ignition starter switch. Common problem - solved with small money... But my mechanic first changed expensive battery cables and starter too... I just read later from this switch.
Possibly the finest quality enthusiast review of the MCoupe, last BMW to have a real ignition key, too. Yep, the stock exhaust did sound too sterile when revving out. Removed the resonator and square tubed shaped x-section, replaced with a 2.5" round tube X-Pipe, and rounded out the square connecting sections with a tube expander. Turns out the factory mufflers flow great, its only that resonator section choking both power and the lower octave begging to come out. The car you tested may have already softened up on its stock suspension. You're welcome to review mine, in an SCCA Street-stock legal configuration, with more appropriate Bilstein struts and dual adjustable Viking rear shocks, and larger front swaybar, with appropriate RE-71R tires instead of the wiggly heat cycled Michelins on your test car. With a freshened up suspension, that unhappy suspension behavior you described in your test car goes right away.
What a perfectly timed video. I was out for walk with my wife this morning and our neighbour was washing his. I was trying to explain to my wife why it was such a special car and then, boop, this popped up in my UA-cam feed.
Your excellent production value has gotten even better. 3:35, zoom in of the interior is something I've never seen before. Also first time I've seen a car review video with labels on the time bar. Other car review channels have a lot to learn from you.
I absolutely love this car. I had one for 3 years and in a way regret selling it. However it was replaced with a huge stepping stone Porsche GT4. Same same but different.
Amazig video again. I went from a Z4M Roadster to an E89 35is, and I must say, it is not a downgrade in anyway. The 35is, though not an M really IS an M in all but name! It is also seriously addictive in every way.
FreePadz I don’t think he did because I thought the same thing but then in a recent video mark talked about Scott in a friendly manner so maybe he’s just busy?
He's explained that turbowski has his own stuff going on and he's not interested in most of the cars Especially at the rate savagegeese puts out videos it just wasn't practical to do it anymore.
Great Video! I own a Z4 Coupe 3.0si and am so happy with it. The design of the Z4 Coupe makes it easily one of the most beautiful BMWs. Together with the intake tweak it screams at you like a racecar. It is so emotional, can only recommend buying one if you considering it!
Informative video watched from start to finish. By the way, have both of you seen videos by 'JayEmm on Cars' and 'The Slip Angle'? I have a feeling that all three of you have pretty similar taste in cars. They've owned the Z4M Coupe, Honda S2000 and are advocates of the MX-5 Miatas. They also go into pretty technical detail with the engineering behind these cars (although probably not as much as both of you do perhaps)
Im lookin at buying one of these , and ive watched dozens of videos..... total waste of time , as all I needed to do was watch this one . Simply the best review on the web.
The production values of your videos just keeps getting better and better. The opening where you can see the lightning reflection off the paint was just magnificent. Keep 'em coming!
I always loved this car but could never afford it when it was in production. Sellers are still asking $40k for these today. For that money, I'd rather get the new Supra.
I had a brand new 2007 MZ4 roadster. I still think its one of the best looking cars out there. Got rid of it after a few years (put on50k miles). Issues, trunk is super tiny to the point where it has to be a second car and you can't have friends over 6 feet tall. Handles great. Not for trips over a few hours as the ride is rough. Interior is the worst of bmw m's I have been in and the seats are not as comfortable as in other BMWs (don't lean back as far and less support). Trips from SD to LA very rough on cali shit roads. I miss it, but have a lot more love for my 2012 m3. SOUNDS better, much faster, great handling, great view of the road, hard top convertible and nice shifters. Con: not in a manual.
awesome video. i remember in 2007, these cars were impossible to sell. I was offered one for $14k off the msrp of a z4m. the car is still hideous. the engine is great, but the swb makes the car twitchy. re: the s54 issues - rod bearings, you're correct. the major issue NOT spoken about, was the intake side vanos camshaft bolts SHEARING causing catastrophic failure, which is also a major issue.
I don't understand the issue with the bearings to replace or what ever other issues I've got 171k the only thing I've done is replace clutch and all services by agents and till today u can't get sick of it after 8yrs
This is a sublime example of why I've subscribed to this channel. Excellent work! I don't usually like BMW products, past or present, but this car seems like a home run. Thank you for sharing.

There's a few that go to Caffeine and Octane. I've seen probably 4-5 different ones there.
lucky you
E90 325i and 330i are still great cars. Before direct injection and 4 cylinders and fixed the issues of the E46. Probably the last good 3 series.

From Mark's perspective
You won't truly understand without actually driving different cars.
Video reviews only help you connect the dots with stuff you actually felt for yourself.
@@gqh007 I like Mark's perspective VS 90% of other UA-cam reviewers and car guys.
SansPeppaShrekterGrifpig _ I trust his perspective because he regularly tracks cars and is a “driver”. He knows what he’s talking about.

Don’t you mean the ultimate tech and button laden machine?
Already the penultimate unreliable machine by this stage unfortuantely - only beaten by Audi. I guess now they are 3rd most unreliable German manufacturer as Mercedes has taken pole position in recent years. Still, fuck owning a 13 year old BMW, I've got better things to do with my time and money.

The B Roll at the start of this video is a masterpiece 👌

Please review the E46 M3! Arguably the most iconic M ever produced alongside the E30
That was the end of the serviceable BMW's.
I never was a fan of the Z3, but the Z4 was a real improvement. I would get the 3.0 with a reliable line six engine.
the Z3M and Z4M are in the top 5 cars ever made, IMO.
So great
This was one of the most fun to drive for me. I really enjoyed it and that inline six sounded so gorgeous! Great review as usual!
What are maintenance/repair costs like?
Honda figured it out. It's no excuse. Lol
S2000 doesn't have these issues.

Sad but true
Don't remind me. The M5 went from being a long inseam M3 to being a high-powered mid-level 550i with a very inflated window sticker

Not giving this one up - it's with me for the duration. Such fantastic cars, finally starting to earn the appreciation they've deserved since the beginning.
Particularly loved this review. I have a '07 Z4 coupe (not M) and it is easily the most fun and amazing car I've ever owned. I absolutely loved this M car and the Sepang Bronze color made it something special.
Sepang, my dream color on a dream car.
I watched this in a home theater and it was so satisfying
I absolutely LOVED mine. I had a Z3 M Coupe and a Z4 M Coupe as well. Such a fun and focused driver’s car, something BMW has forgotten all about.

I live in a very congested city so my si is ideally suited as I have driven both cars. The M is very twitchy and suits the more advanced drivers who can extract the power and control it. This is my personal experience driving both cars, M is the fastest no question.

Another masterpiece, thank you Mark and Jack. By far my favorite UA-cam channel.
I made it only 1:20 into the video and had to stop to say this. Dude. Your videography is on another level. Totally awesome work. Bravo man

This a great review of one of my favorite cars ever produced. Glad you had the opportunity to drive this amazing machine. Thanks!!
I went from an E36 M3 I loved to a E90 M3
that I couldn’t ever connect with.
Not a bangle era car but:
I still think the E46 is the best design ever made.
Is it that bad. I hear about rear subframe issues?
Thought rear sub frame issue is E46 not this
The VANOS repair by Beisan is just 72 GBP though.
This is the review I’ve been waiting for. Never clicked the like button faster! Thanks Mr Goose
You two has a perfect chemistry...please keep it this way!
Ooooh love the revving intro
I am subscriber for a couple of years now but this is the first video I watch from start to finish. Great work guys.
Here for the metallic rasp of the S54 Inline 6 😍
Perfect example of a future classic. Something that can’t be duplicated in modern times.
What a perfectly timed video. I was out for walk with my wife this morning and our neighbour was washing his. I was trying to explain to my wife why it was such a special car and then, boop, this popped up in my UA-cam feed.
Google listening to your convo .
Your excellent production value has gotten even better. 3:35, zoom in of the interior is something I've never seen before. Also first time I've seen a car review video with labels on the time bar. Other car review channels have a lot to learn from you.
APPRECIATE you doing used vehicles bro, keep em coming
I bought a 15K mile 2006 Z4M Roadster since 2011. Ive put 100K on it. Just bought an 07 with 32K on it to keep that feeling going. GREAT CAR!
I absolutely love this car. I had one for 3 years and in a way regret selling it. However it was replaced with a huge stepping stone Porsche GT4. Same same but different.
Unreal. I was here at 29k subscribers and people were complaining that there wasn’t more, and here we are
Still a stunner 13 years later.
Please do more reviews of an (relatively) older cars - like mid 2000 - those cars are more interesting than what we get now.
Settled on a regular 3.0i but it's still an amazing car.
I have an 06 M Roadster and after 14 years I can’t bring myself to sell it. With a tune and better air box it’s a great driving machine!
17:10 This is a _perfect_ summary of why modern BMWs have devolved so much in driving pleasure.
Amazig video again. I went from a Z4M Roadster to an E89 35is, and I must say, it is not a downgrade in anyway. The 35is, though not an M really IS an M in all but name!
It is also seriously addictive in every way.
Haven't watched the video yet, and I already know this is one of my favorites. I wish BMWs today could be as great as this car is.
You guys have quickly become my favourite car content.
everytime i see “mechanical extravaganza” in place of “with turbowski” i feel sick
I wonder did he fall out with Scott
Nugu Turbowski seemed to me to be out of his depth.
FreePadz I don’t think he did because I thought the same thing but then in a recent video mark talked about Scott in a friendly manner so maybe he’s just busy?
FreePadz I do miss his commentary though
He's explained that turbowski has his own stuff going on and he's not interested in most of the cars
Especially at the rate savagegeese puts out videos it just wasn't practical to do it anymore.
Channeling your Doug demuro. "Get it out on the road and see how it.. operates"
Those categories besides the time in the video are awesome! Please do it every video!
Oh yeah. I sometimes forget that there was a time when BMW made great cars.
The production values of your videos just keeps getting better and better. The opening where you can see the lightning reflection off the paint was just magnificent. Keep 'em coming!
Thank Jack he is shooting the videos and taking the time.
savagegeese Thank you Jack!
I don't know if you planned it or it was a miraculous coincidence. But it was perfect
I always loved this car but could never afford it when it was in production. Sellers are still asking $40k for these today. For that money, I'd rather get the new Supra.
You can find the roadster versions for closer to $10k. A little sacrifice with weight, but you get the same car otherwise
I resent anybody saying this car is hideous pksangavaram you don’t have good taste
@@anthonygillesse7242 correct. There’s a reason ugly people also get married. Different strokes for different folks.
This is a sublime example of why I've subscribed to this channel. Excellent work! I don't usually like BMW products, past or present, but this car seems like a home run. Thank you for sharing.
