@@catholicunscripted I never expected it, being a militant atheist and wincing at the thought of religion and praying, being a Christopher Hitchens fan since teenage years...but that all changed when my mother got very ill, the medicine wasn't working even to the doctor's surprise as usually much smaller doses do the trick, I found myself praying to Mary over and over at home and not long after my father gave me a call saying she suddenly, almost miraculously changed and began feeling better so suddenly when things looked so bleak. They had no idea what I was doing. When I was praying it brought back beautiful memories of my grandmother teaching me to pray and I just felt so loved by Mary and Christ. Since I've felt so guilty about my opposition to Christianity. I've studied Catholic teachings and theology a little now and watched your content and I just feel most atheists don't know the first thing about it, really. Catholicism also being the only thing seriously pushing back against radical Islam and wokery too also fit my beliefs like a well-fitted armour. I always remember Peter Hitchens saying "you have to WANT to believe in God and ultimate Justice". I thought this was silly until I also found myself wanting and seeking out Mary in that moment where I felt drawn to her after years, even if Peter is a Prot 😅
