I'm re-powering a 1648 Alumaweld Sled. do you think the 60/40 Mercury is a good fit for this size boat?
Probably a touch heavy but I know several guys who run them on 1650s and it does great. These motors weigh 270ish pounds
I would say find a nice 2 stroke 60/40 they only weigh around 220 if I remember. I just got a 17x58 or 60 alumaweld flat bottom and It had a 1990 merc 90/65 but I just got a 2008 115/80 Optimax only weighs 48 more lbs and soooo nice😁💨
