I’ve been listening to this song since it was released. In the last 20+ years it has become so true with everything going on in the United States. We’ve pretty much reached the end of the road!
Hello from Scotland,i am a sound engineer at the SECC in Glasgow where many artists come to play,i have met Chris 4 times he is a lovely humble guy. When he wrote this song himself and three friends were caught in an 8 mile tailback on the M25 Which runs al round London, they were only 20 minutes from home but it took them just over 4 hours to get home. While he was in the car he started writing the lyrics for the song The Road To Hell.
omg Fill, you really didn't know this artist? Old times.. Chris Rea is my beautiful memories from my youth, beautiful ballads... thanks Fil. be sure to react to his other songs - my favorites are: Heaven; Looking for the summer; Mention of your name; Auberge… ❤
A brilliant 'analytical' reaction! Thank you, you've really taken time to look/dig deeper into the meanings behind this masterpiece of a song! Really enjoyed your connection with Chris Rea's music - outstanding!! ❤❤️🔥
Fil, this IS such a good track. I'll have to scratch this track off my STL list😁 . Yep, all you said, bro. #QcumberSquad #ChrisRea - Fil, I'm off back to the Study.
I LOVE CHRIS REA, . Su musica es increible, tiene mas de 25 discos y todos increíbles, para todos los gustos y su increíble Slide Guitar, suena tambien increíble, gracias por tu reacción, si Road to Hell, es su mas grande éxito, pero para mi todas sus canciones son éxitos, looking for the summer, Josephine, Julia, on the Beach, la maldicion del viajero, till the morning sonshine, reasons, shane, windy town, steel river, y mil mas ❤❤❤❤❤
What are you now, 30 or early 40's. i have to thank you for expanding your vision of decent music. My high school years started with Woodstock 69 thru the 70's till now and no better music was written and performed with clarity and ingenuity. You have many more bands to experience and i need to welcome you to what we grew up with. Dave Durban south africa
Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits and Chris Rea are pretty much the same age and both from north-east England. They went to school just a few miles away from each other.
You've got copyright filter on top of copyright filters. Also you keep mouthing off all over the song. I've watched lots of reactions to this and they did neither so I'm out.
How come the three other reaction channels I watched show the amazing video in all its glory, without the sheets of flame hiding the screen. Disappointing.
Location. Some countries don't get a pass. I don't make the rules. Do you think I put copyright filters on the video in post just to annoy viewers? There are better ways to waste my time, I promise you. 😊
@@ggoflove7253There's a time and place for his narrative. Talking over the music while it's playing is not the time or place. All these videos have a pause button.
chris rea made some of the best Driving music of all time !!!!

All of Chris Rea's songs are stories. Listen to the Auberge album (Auberge is his car)
I had never heard this before, and I literally said it’s Dire Straits merges with Depeche Mode. Wow!

Every time I hear this amazing song (and I've heard it many times down the years...) the first part makes me nearly shit myself. 😅
When You sell your Soul for your deepest desires you have entered into Illuminati territory.
