In relation to this video, would you recommend mixing the CosRx retinoid cream with a moisturizer in the event my skin is too reactive with it? I currently use CeraVe's moisturizing cream as my last step. Any and all advice is appreciated!

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! I wouldn't mix them, as it only contains 0.1%. I also suggest using that Retinol cream on its own, without layering a moisturizer on top. You can still use your moisturizer during the daytime (if needed) instead. 😊

From my experience, Salicylic Acid, Retinol or Adapalene or Benzoyl Peroxide work best for my acne :)

I have combination textured skin with large pores and with bumps hyperpigmentation( uneven skin tone) and itchy patches
blackheads and whiteheads also. Also some fine wrinkles around my eyes forehead and smile lines.
What’s your recommended routine which i can follow to get rid of these issues and to get healthy and better skin.

No, this one is fantastic for the eye contour and is also very hydrating. In fact, I believe it would work wonderfully as a retinol eye cream as well. 😉

Hi Melissa, i have been using my retinol serum after my sleeping mask, laneige sleeping mask. Its been doing my skin good. But i want to try using the cosrx snail cream as my night moisturiser. My question is, can i still use my retinol serum after my snail cream?
Well, you can, but it's preferable to ensure that the retinol is the first product to penetrate the skin for optimal effectiveness. Using other products (especially moisturiser) before the retinol may hinder its absorption, which is not desirable, especially with low-strength retinol. If you are using a 1% strength, it may be beneficial to reduce irritation initially and allow your skin more time to adjust, but even in that case, using a lower strength retinol would be better.
Hi, Melissa! I've been using this same retinol for 2 months now but it seems like my skin is not getting better. In fact, my skin keeps having pimples after another. Is this a cause of concern?

Hi Melissa, I’m thinking of adding this product to my routine. My current PM routine is as follows.
-Cerave foaming cleanser
- skin1004 poremizing toner (2-3 times per week only)
- cosrx snail mucin essence
- AxisY dark spot glow serum
- skin1004 hyalu-cica sleeping mask
1) Can I use the retinol in the same routine after dark spot glow serum ?
2) Or if I am to use only the cleanser, essence and then retinol is it okay to use this hyalu cica sleeping mask afterwards?
Yes, this retinol is very gentle, so you can layer it with the other products you have. Moreover, using the cleanser, essence, and then retinol should present no issues. When it comes to layering a mask on top, you may find it uncomfortable. However, this is largely subjective. I would recommend testing different combinations to see what works best for you.

Hello Melissa! I saw this video about how you use retinol for your skin care routine. To be honest when I hear retinol I am afraid of it. Months ago I used SOME BY MI Retinol Intense Advanced Triple Action Eye Cream and my skin under my eyes was burning like hell and the next day it was dry and stinging a lot. Since then I keep away from retinols and it made afraid to use retinol on my skin. However I really want my skin to get better. I have no acne ( I took an oral medication for 6 months and finished my treatment last January ) it help me a lot but now I just need to get rid of all of my acne marks and redness. Recently my skin feels dull, lines under the eyes (crows feet) and my skin is puffy ( not firm enough). I was recommended (not by professional) to use retinol. I am not sure if it helps my skin and if its the correct skin care product. I was told to use Torriden dive in low molecular hyaluronic acid and cosrx retinol 0.1cream together. I am not sure if this is even correct. should I avoid using these together, or?

Hey! 😊 Yes, the skin around the eye and the eyelids is really thin and sensitive, which is why I recommend always being careful! Before I recommend anything, I need to know some things. Do you experience dark red or brown acne marks on the surface, or are they deeper in the skin and may even be physical acne scars (like dents)? What about your redness? Where does it come from? Is it from your oral medication? What skincare products have you been using ever since using that oral medication? Can you please list the products?
In general, your skin needs some time to heal from the medication you took as well as the acne marks. This can take some time. I think it would be best to just wash your face with water, pat dry, and that's it. If you have a lot of sun exposure during the day, follow with sunscreen and/or if the acne marks are too intense, use a bit of makeup and then take it off in the evening with a mild cleanser. This way, your skin barrier has the time to rebalance itself.

I recommend just using one essence and use it before applying your serum(s). Alternatively use one essence in the AM and the other one in the PM.

Hey! :) I haven't tried that cleanser, so I'm not sure how it leaves the skin afterwards. Generally, if the cleanser doesn't dry out your skin, it shouldn't be an issue :) As for toner, Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner, I'm From Rice Toner, etc., are great examples :)

Me again Melissa, I started using TO buffet+ Copper peptide only 3 wks ago. Now, i have notices facial hair growth on my upper lips and just under my sideburns. They are really noticeable so much that I had to remove my upper lip hair. It bothers me a lot because i have darker hair. What should I do? Should i stop using it may be try to use something else instead of Copper peptide?
I don't think that peptide serums have anything to do with hair growth. I have been using these treatments for years and have never experienced any hair growth, and my husband also used them but he still has a bald head. However, the serums may make the hair on your upper lip more noticeable because they hydrate and plump the skin, making it appear more prominent compared to when the skin is dry and dehydrated.

@@tasfia5769 Yes, that's fine. No, all that matters is that you pat off the excess water drops from the skin surface after cleansing, then layer your skincare products, making sure that each product has enough time to absorb into the skin - that's it.
I am 23 & have never used any retinol products before. Below are 3 products, among which I should start my beginner retinol journey?

@@tasfia5769 I prefer Beauty of Joseon Eye Serum (which you can use on your face as well), Good Molecules Retinol Cream (love that one), and Differin Gel, but I would also add The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% in Emulsion.
I started using these products recently in the exact order you're demonstrating, but I feel a strong burning sensation after applying the snail essence, and it reappears when I apply the retinol. I also got a pretty severe acne breakout after starting this routine. Does this mean my skin is purging, or am I having an allergic reaction to any of the products?
