Not every Korean product is good just like not every Western one is. But what I really appreciate is the approach to skincare - this idea of really taking care of your skin and focusing on hydration over irritating actives as well customizing for your specific skin type and concerns. I think it challenges a lot of bad skincare ideas like that acne prone and oily skin should be stripped and doesn’t need hydration. I LOVE the brands Isntree, Iunik, Sidmool, Pyunkang Yul, and 2Sol.

Thanks Dr Rattan! For sensitive skin, I’d highly recommend a very well-known K-skincare product called “Zeroid Soothing Cream”. In fact, loads of board-certified dermatologists based in S. Korea recommend this product for sure :) This product has an excellent reputation for its MLE technology, which UC San Francisco researchers also approved that it actually helps restoring your skin lipid barrier! I think you should try and review this product some time, please!

I've tried the low pH cleanser and really enjoyed it, i usually use the body shop tea tree face wash because I break out from most face washes particularly if it doesn't contain tea tree oil, that seems to be the only ingredient that keeps my acne away. I also tried the galactomyces essence but did not notice any difference from using this.

I live close to a very Korean area here in NJ, (Bergen County which is next to Manhattan NY). The lifestyle has rubbed off of anyone who appreciates the culture. We have dozens of Korean spas and skin care stores, that I enjoy. Yes, the whole family does go and its just a part of everyday life to stop in for a steam or a jacuzzi They are very affordable, and some are open 24 hours a day. I can pick up these products easily and use them. As a black woman, it was scary to go the first time, but they are happy to see others outside of the culture appreciate it. It's definitely changed my skin care. Although I'm still a BIG fan of French skin care as well.

I love Cosrx! They always explicitly mention the ingredients of their products with their uses and they don't use any fragrance. Fragrances always irritate my skin, so their products are always my first choice. Unfortunately, they don't have any good moisturizer (mostly have some kind of oils or alcohol that's break me out and are never moisturizing enough), so I only use their treatment products (AHA&BHA toner, AHA, BHA, snail mucin power essence, BHA gentle cleansers, acne patches) and they work amazing

Can I use your best recommendations in one routine? Can I use Timeless 20% Vit C & then Niacinamide 10% followed by Medik8 Crystal Retinal 1 together?

As a person of color, trying to find a dermatologist in SW Florida that understands our concerns has been a lifetime of disappointments. I have learned more since finding your channel. Products that I use that are a no-no, wow! Charlotte Tilbury Serum, use of Ordinary products. (I have the Niacinamide which I Love!) Can you make a video on the best serums? I use Caudalie Vinoperfect, but just started CT. Also is Fresh Koumbucha essence and SK-II best?

I've actually been using the BHA liquid for about 2 months now, every other day. I think it's maybe even too gentle? It only helped me a bit with hyperpigmentation, but that's about it. Before that I used Cerave SA cleanser for a while, and I had tremendous results with that, so maybe my skin just got used to more direct exfoliation :)
