Me : Buys tabs to cover accurately
Plini : Plays it differently
ahahahah the exact same happened to me!
Yeah the whole sheet happens artist confirmed is shit.
@@jessewest2109 nah this is just a diff version of the song
@@lifeinpanniers Yeah 100% different version. The sound of the legato is completely different when played on different parts of the fretboard.
@@jessewest2109 The artists themselves probably couldn't care less. I got the Conquering Dystopia tab book and a huge chunk of it was wrong: either the notes were played in different positions (Kufra at Dusk main riff) or certain fast sections of the solos were just completely off (first solo for Autarch). It's a great 'guide', no doubt, but I've learnt to just trust my ears for accurate transcribing.
Plini got no time to cut his hair as he reached the level of master sifu
he showed us Monke
He even switches his pickups while playing.....
the next level all his hair will fall out and he will take the place of joe satriani
Dudes a total zen master in this vid....
@@sweerts4580 And adds a string. That’s the rhythm track my man.
I want to be like Plini, not because of his style, but because he is surely good enough to translate all of the sounds in his mind into music
you want that hair, don't you?
@@gonmtl well yes, but actually no
noteable comment
Well said my friend!
I love your comment.
I always say...the true genius is in the composition.
His playing though, is other worldly.
Incredible!
a e s t h e t i c ❤️
wins
damn beat me to it! I suppose we all think that naturally. Amazing!
Ew that word
aw neural dsp, fantastic work
neural why did he need to use delays and reverb on everything for the quad cortex? are we gonna need the plini plugin to get his cloned axe fx patches on the cortex?
Along with amazing music, Plini is all about aesthetics. Gives off a "VIBE" like no other. My man's an architect for sure.
I mean that's what he's major in
Timro comment haru chai mane hai 😅😅💙
Finally someone acknowledges Plini's Architect background and how it blends perfectly with his musical career.
Dude it's so crazy how awesome and talented and technical these guys are and most people haven't heard of them. as a child I would go through my dad's vinyls and listening to everything that I could so once I got on UA-cam I used it to it's fullest extent.I found these guys a band called animals as Leaders blotted science pomegranate tigers scale the summit and so many other amazing bands that I'm amazed are so underground that they haven't broken through. But the demographic for the genre is quite small.
This guys remain underground because big companies are not investing on them as they are doing with mainstream musicians that we see/hear even in the morning cereal.
This album was the best thing to happen in 2020. Seriously though, what an incredible record!
Then Sithu Aye Senpai lll for 2021.
SMS is best song ever
And Circadian Intervals
@@PluckMyStrings Definitely, we're so blessed to have such great musicians, especially in these times we're living in.
Check out Arch Echo’s new EP for 2021. Good stuff.
Just now discovering Plini, this guy's playing is the most vocal thing I've heard since Vai.
Steve Vai said basically the same thing himself 😂...
But wait till you hear Aaron Marshall of Intervals (a good friend of Plini) and Tosin Abasi of Animals As Leaders... Both absolutely insane. I'd recommend I'm Awake by Intervals and Tempting Time or The Glass Bridge by Animals As Leaders.
@@robadobflob3405 100%, big fan of Tosin already but I'll have to check out Intervals too now
@@robadobflob3405 Plini is also friends with Tosin. They toured together!
@@scoobyyubidoo9700 apparently Aaron Marshall is friends with Tosin as well… I saw them play together live and they were like guys in the same band. It was incredible
Man’s djenting away at his plants, prepare for mutations
lol
My favourite track from the record has a video. Was worth the wait. Ar-Pan is a happy man 😀
???
@@mr5jr His name, Arpan//Ar-Pan
@@karthikunnikrishnan9608 who is that?
@@mr5jr the person who commented, he’s using a third person reference
@@mr5jr haha you're not sure what you're doing
Can you imagine waking up in the morning knowing you can play this good?
well i wanna have you know, i can imagine a lot of things
As a matter of fact, yes I can. My problem is lack of confidence, age, and my creativity level peaked 15 years ago. Technical isn't an issue for many people, it's the songwriting and creativity that rounds out the whole
@@minkorrh you think your less creative now that your older?
@@lucasvarela9632 Well I don't know really. It's my impression but I could just be in a rut.
What he played here is nothing special
Is Plini just friends with a ton of people who have nice furniture?
The whole Plini aesthetic is actually quite pleasing when you think about it, the plants, furniture and what not.
My man's an architect
he filmed this at a local Australian bakery if i'm not mistaken
I know - I'm all like "Yeah, the song's great and the QC capture is impressive and all, but can we get a tour of your flat?"
I just see a bare bone room with wood? Keep it simple, use wood and lots of plants.
The sax was awesome in the OG one, no doubt. But I really dig his own take in this one as well😃😙
This is probably how he'll play it live I guess
@@valererama6397 Yeah, this is definitely how it might sounds live if he does it all himself. It's also possible he'll bring a guest to his live when he has the chance, remember John Waugh from The 1975 joined him on stage while they performed Handmade Cities live?😃
I prefer a lot this version without the sax :p
@@jessy-leechedid2741 Same, I think I'm leaning a bit more to Plini's own solo here rn. There's just something wonderful about his phrasing and technique that hits my feeling almost immediately😃😊
I think both versions are intense.
I like the fact that this space is big enough to have both rhythm Plini and lead Plini in the same room, socially distanced of course.
lol yeah imagine if the epic badass Plini @ 2:21 was just all about people wearing their government mandated muzzles for the most gentle and gentrified pandemic ever.
with that hair I just imagine him putting his hands in the air saying "aeolians"
This is my favorite comment

lmao
ancient aeolians
“Ayeliens”
Long time Plini fan here. I love this song, but the sax solo was really the cherry on top for me. I've shared this song with a bunch of people and the response is always "the sax solo is the shit." Reminds me of late 90's Saturday Night Live. It slaps.
I get what you mean but no doubt he’s gotta prepare for playing this live.
Both the skills and gears in this video is something i cannot have or afford.
*Yet
10 USD a week into an equity fund for 3 years, and you are there. (For the quad, that is)
Everyone is trash at the start my guy, just practice.

Plini out here with that disgruntled 1866 Frenchman drip 😫
This is very suspicious but also very accurate
Oh my lord the cinematography. What. This is the new gold standard
You have no idea how much you are going to change the world by inspiring us all.
Damn was not expecting that low bouncy heavy riff.
The interval from 3:00 to 4:25 is simply amazing...
Plini got that U.S. founding father aesthetic here
hshhahahha
The most beautiful guitar video capture ever. That string vibration
One of the best playthrough video I've seen to date - and of course, I'm in love with Plini !
plini is like thor, strandberg is his mjölnir. thats the way i see it. that instrument is a work of art.
The ambience Plini is able to create with his music. 🔥
Plini I love you so much! My fave song off the album by far. Cant get enough of your solo after the sax finishes
Sounds absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed the extra bits and improvisations you put in there, made it even more entertaining to listen to PAN again :)
Whoever mixed all these different reverbs together is a GOD. Even as a guitarist, I'm more curious about that than the Quad.
Yes... he is the god
can’t stop imaging a Plini + Gilmour jam...
It would probably go like the time we saw John Mayer and Clapton play together.
It could be argued Clapton was more of an influence on Mayer than Gilmour on Plini though.
It wouldn't work. Progressive metal is rhythmically much tighter than rock in Gilmour's era.
@@rachelandryan I think given their geniuses if THEY wanted then probably "problems" would be solved
@@rachelandryan I'd imagine Plini can adapt just fine to accompany Gilmour's style, but not vice versa. Lol this type of guitar playing might have gotten you burned at the stake back in David Gilmour's time with Pink Floyd. Reminds me of the scene from Back to the Future where McFly plays Johny B. Goode by Chuck Berry.
Pure mastery! Those are otherworldly harmonics, absolutely stellar. And I love the complexity of the percussion also!
unassuming, no frills, authentic and a great ear for sound that resonates - Plini has it all and a memorable name.
I'm aiming to be at his level of sufficiency, one main guitar, one main effect unit and preamps (built in?), then everything else is about creativity using thoughts, feelings, and fingerings). I've been watching randomly his clips here and there across youtube, damn, that crescent guitar has been around long enough.
Bought CD for this tune alone, so bad-ass, it should become the national anthem📢📢
Fantastic Plini
Amazing Plini!
This legit gave me more chills than the Rona.
How the strings waves while he shreds🥶
Amazingly crafted, complex thick genuine tones harmoniously stated and personally interpreted. Incredible talent.
Plini has such an awesome and classy way of arranging melodies. Everything he does is literally epic.
Who would give this a thumb down?
Quad cortex is the future.
gotta say, I'm really loving this take.
This guy is a brilliant musician.!!!!!!!!! INCREDIBLE
Thank you so much for these great videos Plini. I have learned so much from you.
Plini is the Bob Ross of guitar. ❤️
I swear the Neural DSP guys are wizards and witches.
just the R&D team though
simply put; beautiful.
Love this track a lot! The whole album is just fantastic experience for the ears and a great inspiration!
Ooooo Pan is my favourite from Impulse Voices. I think. *one of my favourites 😁

Hey plini
in the reddit ama you held you , mentioned the possible update for the plini archetype consisting of the fuzz pedal ,octaver and maybe another amp or cab as well as the presets
any idea when its gonna come
love your new album
This would be great to know!
it's more a distortion pedal than a fuzz no ?
@@scomu9742 someone asked him if sounds from his album are all from plugin
He replied with 90 % was from plugin and others were amps from simon and some other fuzz and octover pedals and some diff cabs
that quick blast that came out of nowhere pure class
This song has been on loop since the past 3 weeks. Love the tones. Neural DSP the best! and of course Plini makes everything sound awesome!
Def not selling my Helix, but Neural has reallly made a statement with the QC.
Unless they update their Fx section the Helix is still the better all round modeler for most of, if not all the gigging musicians. The neural capture looks promising though and I actually like it better than the Kemper Profiler.
Damn I need tabs for this new solo! It’s amazing!
The second solo in particular is so beautiful.
I know everyone says it, but dude's ear for tone is so good. Also, I'm diggin the "just got out of quarantine, spent the whole time studying up to flex on everyone" look.
All in favor for this version to be released on Spotify say i
Holy shit Plini plays 7 strings?🤩
This is my favourite song by Plini 🔥
Beautiful!
I feel like even his appearance is getting closer to steve vai.
He is so chill when playing the guitar that it seems like Plini is bored by his own songs. :D
I actually prefer it. I find it kind of cringe when people headband and act all enthusiastic when most of the time it’s just an act lol
His body is there but his soul is somewhere else my friend! A lot of stuff can be an act no doubt like the crazy headbanging, but sometimes ur just in the zone!
He seems high to be ahah. Not that's not a bad thing ofc.
By the time you're done writing an album, you are pretty tired of hearing and playing them. Lol
@@michaelmannucci8585 You are wrng dude, many fomaous artist express his talent , tha thing iss todays the guitar hereos are only tecnic but no soul, and yes the super prodction make they sound good, but no...

Plini's just on another level. AMAZING!

This version, without the sax solo should be illegal... i need the sax, man.
However, i managed to synchronise this version and the album version, success on the first try/click (i know, hard to believe), sounds interesting, particularly the solo section.

Is this the metal-sounding tune you were referring to in the interview with Dev? Sounds great!
No, he mentioned that one would have vocals on it I believe. This is a track from Impulse Voices.
@@josephjackson2230 I think this one does have vocals, obviously not lead vocals, but ambient backing vocals
@@jacob7225 he definitely had some background singers for this album. I’m just saying, this isn’t his new song. This was released before his interview with Devin Townsend.
@@josephjackson2230 Thanks for clarifying!
He has to be using a pitch shifter for the low chugs right?
yeah at the end atleast, i think he pitches it from a F# down to a D maybe C#?
@@finlet3874 Yeah to D I think, he's originally in drop A so he must also pitch shift to the F#
@@geordihills original Drop A? I thought it would be F# because it would make sense the 6 strings are in his 'standard tuning' drop c#, but yeah i don't know. I learned how to play the riff on a 8 string in drop D, it seemed the original tuning was F#
@@finlet3874 ahh ok I'm not actually sure it just sounded like an A when he was playing the seventh string to the start of the track. Correction: it looks like drop Ab whoops
He is using a 7 string for the rhythm guitar, so I think its low enough. Sounds like its around Ab to me, as Plini love's Eb and drop C# tuning which works well with Drop Ab on a 7 string. Might be wrong though.
Holy cow!!! That was awesome!!! I totally forgot this was even a QC playthrough!!!
Hell yeah that was awesome - Plini your freekin amazing - such taste and power. Love It
