I had the rare pleasure of seeing Plini and his band live in Taipei, Taiwan last night. I'd never heard him before, and don't consider myself a "prog-metal" guy. But I love me some guitar virtuosos, from Paco De Lucia to Jeff Beck to Joe Satriani. Plini blew me away. They were awesome, and had a great rapport with the rapt audience, getting all of us to do a "sing along" with his solos.

im a doctor and i agree with your analysis, however it should also be noted that knit sweaters can shrink in size due to room temperatur. judging by the curtains in the back i would say its about -12.5 degrees celcius, and therefore his sweater must be 5mm thicc. meaning his frame will have at least 102 cm in circumferance. plini is great!

Even though I am not a big fan of djent, Plini is so talented and can create some powerful moments in songs. Like here at 3:10 for some reason I just start tearing up. There is something in how the guitar is ascending that is just so beautiful and strike a sensitive string in me.

I could watch videos of this guy playing all day long.
I've listened to so much music in 30 years from rap to heavy metal and I have to say, I don't think I've ever HEARD music until I heard this guy last week.
I hope you continue on. Most impressive sound, in my opinion.
