They could have made Brandon move out of town or something they didn't have to kill him. As far as Reg goes we saw he got shot but they didn't have to kill him either. There was more story to tell with him

As a member of the LGBTQ community, just because these studios and directors want to create a story around our community doesn't mean that there will be straight actors who feel like interacting and being physical with someone in that community. Everyone has the right to say what they are not comfortable with and be respected and not fired.
I slightly disagree. In the world of acting, diversity is welcome in every aspect because its not real life..it’s a role. While I agree you should only take roles you’re comfortable with, I do believe you should be fired if you cant perform. Every job in the world evolves as the world does. At one point, If you couldn’t use a computer you lost your job. To accept the reality that transwomen are here, we have to normalize them as actors and if they show up to act, and you can’t.. you’re fired. It’s a two way street, who says it’s easy for a trans to make out with a straight guy that has no interest in her? It’s acting, but I do respect your view👌🏿

I understand the creator of the show wants to include those types of relationships in the storyline. But to kill him off and then add another brother of Jake was a dumb move. They could have just introduced the older brother and had him coming to try and get Jake because of Reg being shot up. 🤷🏽♀️Reg could have been still into the street life and having his little brother taken from him, changed his life around. See it’s not that hard to improvise. I guess Lena felt differently.
I started to watch the Chi a month ago, and I just finished season 2. I loved both seasons, the storylines gave me a different perspective, I always thought as it was our choices, and not so much our environment, but Brandon’s story changes that for me, he tried so hard to get ahead and he was such a good influence to those he touched like Kevin. I love papa and he plays his role so freakin awesome! To read that Brandon died (here btw) crushed me! To see Reg died and how this perry, won by taking his brother making him “official” and teaching him so he can be the next generation, was really wack, but real I guess, I just feel he didn’t have to die, he was good at it! I see however there’s been a huge change and there’s no many str8 black man in the show. No alpha male black models in this show as one of the principal characters. I see now on ep2 of season 3, how it changed so drastically! We have a good solid lesbian couple, strong and all around good, but they didn’t and haven’t yet place a good all around black straight male. Brandon was the closest to it. But we see many stereotypes being played our on the male roles. I don’t know, I just feel is wack. I hope this season gets better but only thing i see of any importance is keysha missing.

Season 3 lost me after the first episode. I use to be excited to watch the Chi but for some reason I didn’t have that same feeling after episode 1 ended. You can definitely tell that the show has changed and not for the better. The storylines are all over the place now. I knew immediately that I would no longer have interest in watching the show. Brandon, Reg, and Emit were the show and without Brandon and Reg, the show has gone downhill. Emit can’t carry the show by himself. Lena dropped the ball on this one.

I loved both seasons, the storylines gave me a different perspective, I always thought as it was our choices, and not so much our environment, but Brandon’s story changes that for me, he tried so hard to get ahead and he was such a good influence to those he touched like Kevin. I love papa and he plays his role so freakin awesome!
To read that Brandon died (here btw) crushed me! To see Reg died and how this perry, won by taking his brother making him “official” and teaching him so he can be the next generation, was really wack, but real I guess, I just feel he didn’t have to die, he was good at it! I see however there’s been a huge change and there’s no many str8 black man in the show. No alpha male black models in this show as one of the principal characters. I see now on ep2 of season 3, how it changed so drastically! We have a good solid lesbian couple, strong and all around good, but they didn’t and haven’t yet place a good all around black straight male. Brandon was the closest to it. But we see many stereotypes being played our on the male roles. I don’t know, I just feel is wack. I hope this season gets better but only thing i see of any importance is keysha missing.

Season 3 lost me after the first episode. I use to be excited to watch the Chi but for some reason I didn’t have that same feeling after episode 1 ended. You can definitely tell that the show has changed and not for the better. The storylines are all over the place now. I knew immediately that I would no longer have interest in watching the show. Brandon, Reg, and Emit were the show and without Brandon and Reg, the show has gone downhill. Emit can’t carry the show by himself. Lena dropped the ball on this one.
man, honestly i feel like brandon reg emmett and KEV were all the hearts of the show, and what really killed it was that they were constantly interconnected, and after killing two at the same time the show died
