Can we not have "Gender" and "Sex" to mean different things? "Sex" could represent someone's biological sex (the sex they were born as). "Gender" could mean whatever it is that the individual identifies themselves as (regardless of what they were born as). I feel that if we could get these definitions incorporated into our languages, a lot of these confusions could be slowly wiped away.
Both of those definitions do have their place in today's world, which is why I think it is important to keep both. While it is great that the world is beginning to respect what people identify themselves as, it could be irrelevant in certain medical scenarios for example. The doctors may only be interested in the patient's biological sex in certain situations. There could be other scenarios too. Hence I feel it is important that both these definitions stay on.
If sex is a spectrum rather than categories, with male and female as pole terms having definite characteristics, is intersex a third sex that doesn't fit within these pole terms? If intersex is not a third sex but an umbrella term encompassing various variations, do individuals with variations like XXY or XO identify as male or female? If so, on what characteristics is this identification based? The same question applies to individuals with Differences of Sexual Development (DSD).
It's truly hilarious how savarna people think that sc communities contain "a lot of people" producing "fake" caste certificates smoothly sail through the social segregation and discrimination that exists within the Indian educational system, starting from the teacher right down to the students. It comes from an underlying savarna vainglorious sense of "upper-caste" entitlement that everyone is already on the same level as privileged savarna people, which if you are a savarna, does not change anything for you even if you do convert to an SC or Dalit, because you've already got the privileges set around your life and social circles thus far, and it wouldn't affect it much at all, same for the argument of SCs or Dalits converting themselves to UC.

Surname is a itself a patriarchal arrangement and this perpetuate casteism too... I am for abolition of surname system... An alternative convenient system may be some types of numbering/ numerical coding system... Then the gender/ cast discrimination issues may get resolved...yes not overnight may be... But in distant future?after thar reservation system too will get abolished as it will get deemed unnecessary... Till then reservation system will be needed may be. But humans are not trustworthy enough..I hope till then we don't invent some superiority/ inferiority elements in the very numerical coding process as well...😂
47:55 It depends on how you're reading it. Are you reading it with a preconceived notion that it contains irrefutable truth, or are you reading it to challenge its assertions? It's not why (wrt wasting time) but how. If you're inclined to just accept scriptures because you are from a Hindu family and lineage then that leads to bias.
What do you think about inviting writing pieces from maybe your viewers or anyone about any topic or questions? You may either criticize the piece or if its worthy enough, you can make short videos narrating it giving due credit (or not) if the piece address something good eg. social issue, something about atheism, ...or anything related to what you talk about. Just asking 😅
