@@ESOdanny I married Yana last night, I do have a question though. I was going to join the clan as a vassal before marriage, but had to ask the king. The spouse does NOT have to be in the party, so long as they are in the same town as your party actively waits in. They can be a Governor and still get pregnant, so long as you wait in the same town that they govern. I typically leave the wife to idle in a city that way she will participate in Tournaments and I'll get random rewards if she wins. It was hilarious, on one playthrough my characters son had a wife that gave him 7 kids and won every tournament that happened in the city he governed. It would pop up "Kyvanna has learned she is with child" then the next day "Kyvanna has won the tournament", she'd then give birth and immediately win the next tournament.
Only got this game on Xbox, absolutely love it. A different experience than most games out there, thanks for the advice on this marriage stuff I wouldn't have had a clue what way it works without it.
I'm 1 year late, I know, but for those eventually looking this comment, there's also another important tip you got to take into consideration. You can actually marry your female heirs, without them leaving your Clan. All you need to do is: 1. Getting to level 30 skill in roguery with your main character and the female heir you want to marry. 2. Retire your Main Character 3. Choose the female heir as your next playable character 4. Now your female heir is the head of the clan, so find the spouse that you want, he will join your Clan. 5. Take over an alley of whichever Town you want. 6. Assign your Retired Character as the alley captain, he/she will be back as an active member of your clan 6. Recall him/her to your Party. 7. Retire your present character, which at this point should simply be the heir that you just married. 8. Choose your former Main Character, the one you started with this all process, to become again the Clan Leader. 9. Finally, assign the heir you previously married, and next retired to the mountain, as the captain of the alley. Call her back to your party, and the job is done. You'll have your party size increased by one at the end of the process, with many more powerful heirs soon to come and boost your group power. You could definitely play a companion/dynasty only campaign during your first main character lifetime with an army of the most absurdly strong warriors in all Calradia. With a range of heroes in your party that goes between 50 to 100 of them, and with the right Skill set up, you can beat anyone in any situation as you please.

Just wanna say ESO, I subscribed to your channel during this playthrough of Bannerlord. I was on the fence of even buying the game until I saw episode 1 and realized how fun you made it seem and wanted to join on your journey. Thanks a bunch for opening my eyes to an amazing game and world and hope you keep making some Bannerlord content here and there!
My first playthrough of this game, the moment my brother joined my party after the rescue tutorial quest svana instantly sent a proposal to marry my brother, had no idea what was going on and clicked accept expecting to have to wish my brother a farewell and that he and his new wife have a good life (I thought it was part of the tutorial since there's no way the game would let you keep such a powerful character so soon to the start) and then came to find out that no, now I just have an extra TWO powerful characters to play with
Just a little tidbit but it is actually possible for male members of your family to leave your clan and join their wives depending on who they marry. I have just started playing fairly recently and just got my brother in my clan. I got a marriage offer for him from Rhagaea Pethros (the leader of the Southern Empire) so I saved and accepted to see what would happen and my brother left my clan and joined hers. So depending on the rank of their wife it seems it is entirely possible to lose male members of your family to marriage.
This is literally why I am here on the comments right now! I just messaged about 2 minutes ago in the comments about this then scrolled and read yours. I’ve just had the exact same thing. I got excited realising how powerful she was and he’d married into her family but then not realising for a while he had left me! I tracked him down which took a while and he basically started making me call him a lord and answering to him 😂. The only way to stay with him Im guessing is leaving my current kingdom (the aesaries) and joining the southern kingdom I think? Plus side is my relationship has got crazy high with Rhayaeas
@@duetopersonalreasonsaaaaaa Like I said I'm still new to the game so idk anything about that but you personally aren't marrying the clan leader, your brother is. So while I guess you can't marry a clan leader they can still get married
This happens when you marry one of your male clan members to someone who is the current leader of their clan (not just the rulers, also the clan leaders, although most clan leaders are male and the female ones are usually married and/or fairly old, so you won't get marriage offers from them often. Otherwise, rank is not important, even if the wife is from a tier 6 clan and you are just tier 3, she will join your clan as long as she isn't the leader of her clan. In one playthrough, I was quite astonished that the Khuzait ruler actively chose to marry off his daughter to my older brother few days after the rescue mission when we were still just a bunch of landless murderhobos. Her equipment was worth about 3 times of our whole clan's assets at the time.
Has somebody already mentioned that you have to keep in mind, that the children always will have the culture of the mother? So in this special video with Svana, all children will be Sturgians. Also in terms of Empire wifes, always keep al lookout for Phaea, she has some decent skills and is much younger then Nadea or Ira
Culture is important as that can impact loyalty bonuses (there are some perk interactions too). Can save some headaches with rebelions. I would say in waifu-priority-list, one should definitely prioritize the wife of the culture of the faction you want to take over.
@@fartloudYT That's extremely frustrating since I am trying to take over Battania but their best wife is already taken, so my options are the Imperial or Sturgian ones. I hope somone fixes the old "marry anyone" mod.
On my campaign I got lucky and phae spawned a age 18 sister adinia I married phae off to my older brother and her sister to me both were goated war lords lol
I always play a female character because the skills of the male lords you can marry are much higher than the females. Then you can also have as many kids as you like. Take the 30% increased chance to get pregnant to help. Also, after your brother has 3-4 kids you can strip his wife down naked in your party and have her always charge the enemy line. She will fall in every battle but eventually she will permanently die, allowing your brother to take a new wife and have even more kids. If you are a male character, you can do this same strategy to have more kids of your own.
Another thing I don't think you mentioned, once you have your own kingdom you can promote companions and make them lords and marry them to female family members!
I was wondering about that. Can you marry your daughters to companions you recruit before forming a kingdom (surely if you could you would keep them in your faction).
I tend to be a bit more diplomatic about my marriages. I like to marry into neighboring kingdoms that I eventually plan to fight/conquer, that way I can make her a governor of a castle/town I take from them and I don't get a loyalty penalty. I also do a lot of favors for the father or leader of the kingdom and become a Merc for them before marrying the daughter that way my relationship with them is high and they end up paying me to marry the daughter. Make sure your charm level is somewhat high. You can do all this early game as well. Mind you it's been at least 8 months since I've played so it might have changed. I'm about to start a new campaign and what they've done with the game.
Corein is the first wife I got in 2020. I stopped to play in 2021 and lost my saved files. I reinstalled 3 days ago and I got married with Corein again.
I found out by accident that if a baby is born and you have a recent save, you can go back to that save and when the kid is born it may be a different gender. So gender is determined at the time of birth. One time my brother's wife had a kid then a week later she died in childbirth. I reloaded the save before the birth several times but his wife died a week later every single time.
unless you have mods, there is a limit to how many parties your clan can have on the map. 4 on clan tier 4 and 5 if you have 250 leadership perk talent magnet. calling clan parties to your army costs 0 influence. children that come of age are very OP as they have double attribute points as your starting character. i never try to get multiple children. just one so i can have an heir.
No matter how big your clan is, you can only field 5 parties at a time. Also not marrying your female clan members is kind of cruel to them. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter cause by the time children reach 18 most people have already conquered all of Calradia. To me personally, having children is just part of the role playing aspect of this game with no real benefits. It's also funny since children inherit traits and skills from the parents. My twin daughters in the last campaign had 250+ in most skills at level 1
Can wait for you to do another big part of ragnars story. All these side videos are very informative but the playthrough stream parts are exciting an full of info
Havent watched ESO for a couple of years but recently picked up Bannerlord, imagine my surprise when i see this absolute Chad again giving out tips on how to play this game, this is a Massive W.
My ultimate bannerlord run is a companions/family only play through. I’m currently running around with almost 40 family members+ companions and all have 275+ archery, riding, pole arm and athletic! It’s hilarious watching them steamroll an army 300 strong
I had a weird thing happen my brother married rhageas daughter and then I was like ok ill marry her other one not knowing she didn't have another. So I speak to her and she accepts my proposal but because she didn't have another the game spawned me in a random wife with amazing stats and the best armour, made better by the fact she paid me to take this random wife. In the encyclopedia she has no family just me as a spouse.
You sure she didn’t just marry off one of her fatherless female clan members to you? She is the clan leader, after all; clan leaders act in the father’s stead for any fatherless clan members.
Make sure the offer you get for a male clan member isn't from a female clan leader though. Because then your male clan member will join her clan. Also you don't have to sit around with in a town with brother and wife, son and wife etc for them to get knocked up. Just leave them in the town and go about do your business.
Best way to wait for pregnancy is working in smithy :) Also, in conversations, the names are hyperlinks to encyclopedia. Don't have to waste time pulling it up and searching.
its all good young D love this game and you reveal loads of helpfull hints and tips keep it up very good guide your making have no idea why its not a high view vid worth its weight in gold
There is a cheat called "conceive child". In one playthrough the wife was finished making babies so I put that cheat on a new companion. The wife was governing a town half way around the world, but when I did that cheat the message popped up "Corein just found out you got 'name' pregnant." I don't know what would have happened after that . . I loaded the last save so fast.
Clan growth tactic is nice but by the time I can get to use it I've already conquered all of Calradia. Executing every lord you capture except their last clan member who you imprison forever instead (ensuring the kingdom doesn't spawn a replacement clan) is a more effective strategy to conquer all of Calradia.
@@LCInfantry Even in Perm death they don't make a difference as they can't take over your clan until they are of age. So it goes back to the whole scenario of unless you slow play the game kids really never have an impact. Not sure if your kids play a role in your wife taking over the clan once you die or not as it comes down to a vote within the clan. But as far as them actually running your clan more often then not it will never happen.
@@ChaoticMisfit Idk. I can’t remember if I did, but I think I started my current character at around 20 years. She is 40 now. If I had kids… they would be close or of age currently. And now I’m thinking my Character might be too old now, or it will just be harder, lol.
You can marry Ira's mother, without mods, cause she married my brother for 96k , but nothing happens you dont get the territories and she doesnt join your party just says you are married in the clan tab
You highlight the parents of the wives...is that significant (ex: are they less likely to attack you if you marry their kid)? Awesome guides as always!
Every time I have have married a leaders child and joined them... If they die I get 100% support to take over the faction... Not sure if it is just blind luck or if it is game design. I have had this happen as early as 3-4 years into the game. Honestly kind of screws things up because I always want to make my own faction and take over the world lol
My first wife only has 4 initial skills, but she was the prettiest of the ladies available close to my character's age range, besides, I'll be playing 5, 6 or 7 generations, so my children will most likely fair better.
Yea honestly it's not necessary to have a wife with tons of skill. I usually just look for good Steward skill and then put them in a town or castle as governor.
Yo’ Svana was one of THE best alliances I could’ve made lol, the bro had a marriage offer and she became one of my greatest generals. Even in Tournamaents she kept whooping ass, even my character got whooped up until I got more experience. Plus the armor she comes with is a TANK!
Ira the western queens daughter is lit in skills and lordy armor Also js become a Vasile earn 2 city's and fill them with high level men nd fill the prisoners then donate too the near ally castles when taken they will be able to hire funding the war 👏
I choose lowest level wife so I can build her up, not taking ones with high weapon skills that are junk at running a party since medicine and steward are so important which most dont have, Arwa for example is terrible for ever being a party leader since she will virtually no medicine and steward being a high level so dont let all those skills on screen fool you who the best wife is

Better than my playthrough. There was a save I haven’t played in months. I was going around executing Nobles of the Southern empire and I had 700k denars. Half the nobles in the game hate me.
Ive had a few playthroughs getting twins. Just recently restarted and have tried and tried and tried to have kids. both me and the wife have the child boost perk and nothing. No one is asking to marry my brother either its really strange. I also somehow married my younger sister off to 2 different people which is what I suspect caused my bug. I also married off the older sister but she never left my party. Thinking about restarting, again bc each restart youre way wiser than the last one
Nadea gave me 4 children like...right after a few hours of gamleplay. I love her.... cuz she saved me XD My first wife died at childbirth. I miss her...she was lovely but useless. All in all. GREAT VIDEO! XD
6 babies if I’m lucky? Damn, my luck is way up there since I been having 5-6 babies per brother and now the sons and nephews are newly wed multiplying like rabbits. I have a rule about the woman, they are my generals and they shall do a term until 30 years where I will marry them to one of my vassals clan with a suitable husband to further expand the culture of my kingdom. It was sad to see my little sister leave but I was happy to see her with 3 children. I visit with the new generation King. Does anybody else make lore with their campaign?

Then, when you have 20+ family members you make then all run caravans along with your companions as you solo raise your trade skill by simply buying out every single trade good that is green and from villages then going from town to town selling anything green and buying anything green. Good times.

So gender is determined at the time of birth. One time my brother's wife had a kid then a week later she died in childbirth. I reloaded the save before the birth several times but his wife died a week later every single time.
Likely need to mke other changed decisions to alter the seed.
@@DIEGhostfish was that a pun?
unless you have mods, there is a limit to how many parties your clan can have on the map. 4 on clan tier 4 and 5 if you have 250 leadership perk talent magnet. calling clan parties to your army costs 0 influence. children that come of age are very OP as they have double attribute points as your starting character.
i never try to get multiple children. just one so i can have an heir.
cant you give them their own lordship or what ever its called. they have their own separate banner, maybe you need your own kingdom first idk
Another stream this weekend!
@@ESOdanny Yaaaaay!! Love your play throughs. We get the full ESO experience with a little bit of extra cheekiness. All your videos brighten my day
Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming. You've helped me so much already. This kid thing is gonna be a game changer
Keep it up Danny! Loving the playthrough.
Love the live streams, ESO! We appreciate you!!
Imagine the amount of notification from marriage proposals
Havent watched ESO for a couple of years but recently picked up Bannerlord, imagine my surprise when i see this absolute Chad again giving out tips on how to play this game, this is a Massive W.
My ultimate bannerlord run is a companions/family only play through. I’m currently running around with almost 40 family members+ companions and all have 275+ archery, riding, pole arm and athletic! It’s hilarious watching them steamroll an army 300 strong
Genghis Khan: "Write that down, WRITE THAT DOWN--"
I had a weird thing happen my brother married rhageas daughter and then I was like ok ill marry her other one not knowing she didn't have another. So I speak to her and she accepts my proposal but because she didn't have another the game spawned me in a random wife with amazing stats and the best armour, made better by the fact she paid me to take this random wife. In the encyclopedia she has no family just me as a spouse.
That's a crazy bug, but a welcomed one at that😂, I need to see if I can do this!😆
@@direct2397Sorry to hear buddy, don't read it then, grab yourself a paracetamol and book yourself in for an eye test.
@@xXTheToastyGamesXx sorry i placed this on the wrong comment. nothing about this gives me a headache lol
You sure she didn’t just marry off one of her fatherless female clan members to you? She is the clan leader, after all; clan leaders act in the father’s stead for any fatherless clan members.
Hilarious, entertaining and informative - as always ! Thanks!
Make sure the offer you get for a male clan member isn't from a female clan leader though. Because then your male clan member will join her clan. Also you don't have to sit around with in a town with brother and wife, son and wife etc for them to get knocked up. Just leave them in the town and go about do your business.
this is why its good to read comments,ty
Thanks! That would explain why I lost my brother from my clan and didnt realise for a long time :(
Love the content, noticed you channel because of this game
Best way to wait for pregnancy is working in smithy :)
Also, in conversations, the names are hyperlinks to encyclopedia. Don't have to waste time pulling it up and searching.
Your strat just sounds like actual medieval courting
its all good young D love this game and you reveal loads of helpfull hints and tips keep it up very good guide your making have no idea why its not a high view vid worth its weight in gold
If you want a playthrough that is 200+ hours, I guess this is a good strategy.
just incase your main character dies. play on fastest speed and time flys
It would be kind of cool if you could have bastard children. Then when you have your own kingdom they could make a claim to the throne.
Now you got me wanting a full Game of Thrones style mod with 50% more incest and treachery
The marry anyone mod sadly stopped getting followed.
@@messengerofthesea For incest and treachery you want Crusader Kings! :)
Exactly... kids never play a part in a game unless you decide to really slow play everything.
@@ChaoticMisfit even in perm death?
@@LCInfantry Even in Perm death they don't make a difference as they can't take over your clan until they are of age. So it goes back to the whole scenario of unless you slow play the game kids really never have an impact. Not sure if your kids play a role in your wife taking over the clan once you die or not as it comes down to a vote within the clan. But as far as them actually running your clan more often then not it will never happen.
@@ChaoticMisfit
Idk. I can’t remember if I did, but I think I started my current character at around 20 years. She is 40 now. If I had kids… they would be close or of age currently. And now I’m thinking my Character might be too old now, or it will just be harder, lol.
13:30 Trade bot that made me chuckle.
The issue with this is it takes so long for the kids to grow up for this to be viable
I’m new to this game and you just explained so much for me thank you
Thank you for doing this because you enjoy it. Not because algorithms 👍
Good stuff as always. Really enjoying the content!
11 months out and I am enjoying the videos thanks
I’m not kidding my character and his brother all together have had 8 children only 1 is male to which I named Achilles
I've yet to run a playthrough long enough for my kids to grow up....this time I'm gonna do it!
A bannerlord UA-camr with a sense of humor thank the lord
You can marry Ira's mother, without mods, cause she married my brother for 96k , but nothing happens you dont get the territories and she doesnt join your party just says you are married
in the clan tab
You highlight the parents of the wives...is that significant (ex: are they less likely to attack you if you marry their kid)? Awesome guides as always!
You get a big relationship gain with their clan when marrying.
Every time I have have married a leaders child and joined them... If they die I get 100% support to take over the faction... Not sure if it is just blind luck or if it is game design. I have had this happen as early as 3-4 years into the game. Honestly kind of screws things up because I always want to make my own faction and take over the world lol
I was on another tab and heard your voice for Corein... I died laughing when I switched back LOLOL
Another great video, I got the game myself after you started this series!
@direct2397 I don't make my wives fight anyway. Its very unlady like.
Yo’ Svana was one of THE best alliances I could’ve made lol, the bro had a marriage offer and she became one of my greatest generals. Even in Tournamaents she kept whooping ass, even my character got whooped up until I got more experience. Plus the armor she comes with is a TANK!
Thank you for supporting Bannerlord!
Great stuff Danny. Looking forward to the weekend stream!!
Thanks for all your videos ! Hope you get more views now that it's been ported to consoles
I knew it!!! You're one of us, Svana best!!!
Really looking forward to the next story episode or livestream 😊
Feel honoured that you used my name in your play through. Been a follower of your journey for many years.
Not sure if you are serious or not, but I think it was 100% coincidence.
@@LCInfantry I’m totally serious.
@@svensawatzky7002
It’s a name of a follower in the game. He didn’t pick it
@@LCInfantry still amazing. Love Banner lord.
Man love your video's there always helpful and entertaining!
Rock on brotha! 🤟
Hilarious and informative. Love this. Very useful info!!! Thanks!!
Lmfao I'm a fan for life now "let's track her scent" my hero lol or "I'm not attracted to you" your face /absolute shock/ lol
Ira the western queens daughter is lit in skills and lordy armor Also js become a Vasile earn 2 city's and fill them with high level men nd fill the prisoners then donate too the near ally castles when taken they will be able to hire funding the war 👏
Great content dude always great advice in a game that has a steep learning curve
I choose lowest level wife so I can build her up, not taking ones with high weapon skills that are junk at running a party since medicine and steward are so important which most dont have, Arwa for example is terrible for ever being a party leader since she will virtually no medicine and steward being a high level so dont let all those skills on screen fool you who the best wife is
I do the same... Not to mention most of the time they have selected the opposite perk to the one I want.
Bagh-Chal is a stratigic game where one player has 4 tigers and the other 20 goats the tigers have to jump 5 goats to capture the pieces and the goats have to block all viable moves from the tiger. looks interesting
This is The kind of videos endevor used to watch😂
You know I just thought everybody sitting at home playing video games making videos and putting ads on there was so easy and making a lot of money. But the more I watch is the more hard work that you do you really deserve respect!!!!
Better than my playthrough. There was a save I haven’t played in months. I was going around executing Nobles of the Southern empire and I had 700k denars. Half the nobles in the game hate me.
Love your vids man!
Thinking about restarting, again bc each restart youre way wiser than the last one
yesum a noble is a really good horse lancer with great riding and armour with also good stweard found in khuzait
Nadea gave me 4 children like...right after a few hours of gamleplay. I love her.... cuz she saved me XD My first wife died at childbirth. I miss her...she was lovely but useless. All in all. GREAT VIDEO! XD
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Thanks for doing these videos!
Essentially play the game role-playing as Robert Baratheon. Cracking skulls and fucking girls. Making the 8!
hell yeah more live streams baby
I just had the perfect add at the right time. When he said we slaughtered her entire family in the previous episode, I got the add ‘did someone say KFC’ it was a golden moment.
MY DUDE!!! We Thank you for making these divers videos and not sticking to just one niech. You inspire me to do the same and just do what you love, make what you love! Honored to be a battle brother!
Another great guide, thanks :)
I've been trying to play this game for a week now, but now I'm just stuck with series of UA-cam tutorials, feels like a Bannerlord course
i am currently married to corein on my newest character. i smithed the whole first year and hit 218 smithing with 500k dinars.
i asked her but she refused, then i went to calladog and gave him 75k dinars and she was mine xD.
This was a great tip. Thank you
What the hell, im not even joking but I started my first playthrough with the exact same banner design as you and my character was named ragnar.
This was before I even saw this video.
Crazy
I love how you role play your tutorials
I started playing this game a few days ago and now I can't stop playing 😂😅
Trade skill is basically meaning less. Only the perks actually affect the amount of money made.
If you just hit the green handshake it auto gives the best offer the AI is willing to do.
You want babies, "wait in town with your brother" you heard it here folks.
If you're playing a female character...
Svana is the absolute best wify out there!
In my last playthrough she gifted me twin boys, two times in a row, seven children in total. Unchellanged record to this day. 😁
I love how ESO goes off killing people like Monty's python Holy Grail's Lancelot. The bride didn't need a father anyways. YEAT!!
Thanks ESO! I'll make the next roman empire using this guide irl!
Then, when you have 20+ family members you make then all run caravans along with your companions as you solo raise your trade skill by simply buying out every single trade good that is green and from villages then going from town to town selling anything green and buying anything green. Good times.
