@@OwDoGaming-kx9jocheck the version compatibility, it may be that the mod requires you to "downgrade" to a previous version of vanilla Bannerlord. I'm not 100% as I've not tried this mod yet

@@auluadenbartolli6755 Honestly when Bannerlord first came out I had my doubts, but as they updated it, it has exceeded its predecessor Warbands.
@@lordblazer a lot of the features in both warbands and bannerlord that people enjoyed originated as mods people made for the original game.
I have never tried bannerlord before, but i enjoyed it just by watching. Going to buy it soon on my next payday!
Warband was good as a base game, but online mods definitely took it to legendary state. I still remember watching people playing lotr mods on youtube years ago. I didn’t have any money then so I need to pirate the game. But as soon as bannerlord released I bought it and warband both together. Definitely worth it. It’s one of those games which you just came back once every year or two.
Given what we've seen from Arean and his incredible storytelling in the past, I'd love for this to become a series. Perhaps Darim's blissful future is cut short by an invasion. Perhaps we have to see him build himself back up again from nothing, while mourning what he'd lost. Maybe Darim becomes a true entrepreneur, gradually buying the kingdom away from the bloodthirsty rulers of old. So much potential for expansion!

man, you are a legendary storywriter. Never thought bannerlords could be played this way
also technically you could hire peasants and turn them into soldiers or recruit soldiers as they would be your caravan guards. you don't fight at all your guards will be fighting and that counts as the life of a [ normal person / merchant ]
yeah I agree. I understand that he wouldn't do this when he was poor/low on money but when you get into multiple thousands coins carried on yourself in one sitting that's where you gotta consider hiring bodyguards AT THE VERY LEAST when on long travel.

Could you do 100 days as a vigilante? Hunting all possible looters and other criminals, they are always in low numbers so it would be interesting for a solo if that is possible in Bannerlord.

A good sequal would be that this charcter's wife gets killed in a raid, and he vows vengeance against one of the factions and tries to use his wealth to take that faction down and in process he becomes a ruler. A bitter and unforgiving person who will be known for ruthlessness

I remember trying this, ended up dragged to sturgia by looters.
My poor peasant doctor spent 11 in game months getting captured by different bandit groups. Turns out 7 bandit hideouts spawned.
There were so many looters that they attacked towns.
The villages west of varcheg where desolate they got hit that much.
It's why when my peasant doctor eventually turned her mind to razed every sturgian city to the ground

im trying to be like Darim when i grow up. start from nothing, buy a car, then house, just to inevitably rent out said house to a woman while i build my business. once the business is built i'll come back and marry the woman thats been renting my house.
DUDE! just a few days ago I watched ONE OF your most viewed videos "I spent 50 days as an assassin in bannerlord" and I was pretty hill bent on getting the game, until I saw that video, the story telling was just amazing. whats funny is also a few days ago I saw that you had only one bannerlord video, so I said to myself "dang, I wish arean made another bannerlord video" and here we are now! keep up the great work man!

Respect! Playing this game without weapons is like eating sweets without sugar. I think most people are mainly excited about "first blood" and then no one will count the bodies. :)
Damn, I didn't realize this game had so many options. I always assumed it was about building an army and an empire. I never realized there were such small RPG elements to it. This has always been on my bucket list of games to play since release but it just moved up quite a bit. I'm going to save this one for when I have a Week or Two of freetime and just disappear into it! Thanks for the vid, this seems like a very deep and neat game!

Bro by day 25 or so you are no longer a normal person/peasant but a modestly wealthy merchant. At this point it's more than acceptable to hire a few bodyguards to ward off small parties of looters. 10 bodyguards won' tmake you into a lord just a merchant who safeguards himself and his goods.
Only downside of this video is that its too short. For a while I didnt feel this atmospheric about the video. For the moment I felt im in that medieval age. Please reconsider 200 days at least. Cheers from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The most successful game I ever played in Warband started off like this, months of trading and avoiding combat. I got a bodyguard at some point, the bodyguard kept growing. Suddenly found myself with a large elite block of troops... a few years later I owned the entire map.

Amazing. The pacifist experience in Mount and Blade is really underrated. I remember doing it in Warband, buying grain in the villages around Dhirim, selling them in Uxkhal, then buying a brewery. And since I had no need to fight any epic wars, I had actual time to go and buy cheap grain to maximize my profits. If I ever afford Bannerlord(my pc is potato and can't run it), I'll totally try this mod.

Now, that's an extremely interesting Bannerlord story! Hopefully it continues, and I might even try the mod. However, if I do, I will simply sell butter to the Vlandians. It always sells well, it attracts their patrols, and in a pinch you can cover yourself with it so those damned looters can't grab you.

Interesting mod! This is why I love Bannerlord, so immersive.
This is... surprisingly something I really wanted to see AND really enjoyed.
If they add a mod that fixes interaction and expands dialogues, like npcs start initiating dialogues with you, if someone you know or talked to him before he wont pass by you without saying good morning, adds joking or discussion about general topics like normal people talk to eachother, and this be effected with traits of npcs like intelligence and humor and friendliness and docility and such traits.I mean this ability to be sociable, make some sort of real like friendships and human like communication, that makes neighbors in the village talk to you and have a relation with you special than someone who doesnt know you, and more important that those your wife and family, this would enhance this side of the game far better. Making it a less speechless game and inflexible socially especially between normal people would make this side of the game far better and the game more immersive... if the game was like that I would make it a part of every character's life at the end of at the beggining to have a house and family and a farm and some buisness

So touching. I must say law and order in medieval times were really good. No one able to touch him even he escaped the looters. I don't see any guards and he is running his tavern without any problems. Can you please tell me again where he lives.😂😂😼
It be nice if this mod team made there own game. They basicly did it already I'd just like a full game made by them and there ideas.
Funny fact - european peasants were carrying weapons (mainly crude falchions) and townspeople were required by law to carry swords when in public.

I remember making swords worth over 70k in bannerlord
Well peasants did carry knives for protection so it wouldn’t be far fetched to have a seax or other knife
Why not gather more people for the caravan instead of buying a house first?
The best trade i ever had was after a mission the city had a few sheeps. So i brought all 20k if em for 70k total. Sold em 50 at the time in aserai. And after a while sold all the sheeps for 90-120 each
Ok just got to the saddle buy, I was thinking just cuz you don't want to fight doesn't mean you can't have people fight for you. Atleast have some protection!

The only complaint that i have with this challenge is that you cant fight. Sure maybe if you can fight you could just form a warband and get richer by doing wars and bandit hunting, but i think the challenge could be like you can fight only to defend yourself type of situation
