This was very informative! I must’ve been 15 or 16 the last time I read DD. I like these SupaHeros without ”real” superpowers. It has a huge effect on the stories. Characters don’t feel as unkillable thus making threat more menacing(like someone burning credit cards😅) This book also highlights my fear when thinking of getting into SupaHeros. There are surely very good stories but the worst are truly horrible. And with so much Marvel/DC content finding the bright spots require this type of reviews. A good one, thanks!

Glad I could inform you! It is supa (see what I did there) to find the bright spots among the colossal back catalogues of the big two, I struggle all the time as of the bright spots are hidden among the painful spots and you often give up before you reach that oasis because it’s so so. It’s one of the main reasons I don’t get into too many of the big two’s work anymore.

Nice to see you be honest about the beginning because I hear many say the whole thing is a masterpiece 😅 still need to read this eventually and I may take your advice to save some time

    Great review as allways man.
I've got this on my shelf, waiting to be read alongside 30 other deluxe hardbacks n omnibuses!
I've been working my way through a load of trades I've yet to read first. Almost finished that list ( 6 left before I start all my omnibuses...leave the best till last! ) and within that list were the first 10 crossed trades aswell as Simon Spurriers Crossed wish you were here 4 book series which I have to say is incredible. What a writer Spurrier is!
Most of the Crossed is torture porn but when Ennis and Spurrier wrote Crossed it's all about the story.
Don't see many people talking about crossed.
Probably for good reason as it's brutal.
I bought n read Millers daredevil born again n the man without fear trades and loved them. Had no interest in Daredevil before then. After that I bought the Omni you're reviewing. Looking forward to it.
Love Miller back in the day.

Thank you very much! To my shame I am yet to read any of Spurriers work; know of him and his output but yet to visit it. I have a big to read pile too but could not resist jumping back into Millers DD world once more and will be jumping back into the companion omni soon to revisit Born Again as I adore it.

@@OffMyShelves You'll be blown away with Spurrier when you give his work a try.
      Absolutely fantastic writer.
His 2 trades in the hellblazer series are amongst the best John Constantine tales you can read.

Daredevil# 181 is what got Me back into mainstream comics. I could not believe how well written & well drawn it was. My mistaking the cover being by my old favorite artist, Gil Kane, is what lead Me to it on the spinner rack. I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. One of the best runs in all of comics history.

It’s a truly astounding run and that issue is something else it really is; the ramifications of that issue stretched right to the end of his run.
