Loads of Swedish stuff in Swedish Lidl's tho ^^. And schnitzel is popular since Forever in Sweden too, I mean European Good culture except for Italiano is largely similar ^^.
10:22 Fun fact, the hooks, ladders and the white red ring can be used at all times. The hook/ladder is used so that the people in need can grab it and hang on to it instead of a person going to them so that the people rescuing don't fall in and get in danger as well, and usually the ring is thrown out to the water so that the victim can grab onto that as well, when you throw it you stand on the white little thing that's in the middle of the ring (you can take it out of the ring) and then there's a rope in it so you can pull the victim back to shore. This boat, ring, ladder and hook is something we see at every single beach/lake in sweden (pretty much). And of course it can be used during winter season as well if someone has fallen through the ice.

Nice video you have and I cant help but think about all the things you go through to film your van driving! placing the camera, turn back,, drive past, stop, get the camera, hover with the drone over the car. Really nice shot video! Also, when south of dalarna, the only wildlive to worry about is boars and ticks. Farther north wolf and bear are a thing, but will run away long before you see or hear them. I will keep a lookout for more videos!
8:15 My home town! I was hoping the planes along the motorway would show up. 😄 (Also agreeing about Lidl, it's a nice store, but propably the least Swedish of the chains.)
Hi guy, we live close to Hamburg, Germany, and Scandinavia are always first choice destination. Thanks for your video(s). We want to do the baltic circle, but don't have the time available to do the 7k km. Your videos seem to give us some inspirations to find a shorter route. Thanks for creating the videos. I appreciate the work that goes into editing them!
Randomly brought here by the algorithm. Have to admit I thought you'd just go to a campsite or two in Skåne right by the bridge. Was pleasantly surprised that you plan to see the full length of the country because it changes several times as you go north. Hilarious that you think it's "close" to go up north and pass down through Finland since most of the population never travel north of Stockholm :)

Awesome vlog guys. Sweden is an amazing place. Awesome to see a Grass Snake as well this time of year. Awesome looking campervan near the end of vlog. Keep having the fun. On the vote, Shit or Ass ent swear words personal. Enjoy yourselves ❤
As far as the other wild life goes, the european brown bear is not just rare but quite shy, and usually stays away from roads. So you're extremely unlikely to see one. You do not want to have half a ton of moose entering through your front window at speed, though, so that's why you have those fences along the roads. To force them to only cross the roads where you can see them at a distance. There's a lot of them around, and roe deer too. The roe deer can often be seen on the fields, while the moose likes to hide at the edge of the forest so you may see them between trees.
Just started to watch your trip to Scandinavia, wonderful blogs love everything about them, lots of details. You are definitely having fun. When do you think the best time of year for the trip? Keep up the good work. Have you or can you put up the route you followed. 👍

Ah thanks guys.. we’ve loved making all of these so far ❤️ It is very expensive compared to the uk from what we’ve found, diesel is about £1.59, lpg is £1.05 and the cheapest bottle of wine you can get is about £7.50 😁

Yeah Sweden is an awesome country. Great social structure. Been up north a few times in winter. Great 4G almost everywhere. BTW just be aware you will need proper snow tires (by law) in December once you get to Norbotten. I thought there were restrictions on Brits entering at the moment. So well done! Changing on the 11th October for vaccinated.
Welcome, välkommen, to Sweden! Funny you shopped german stuff at Lidl;-), the only thing fairly Swedish there were the meatballs and the sweet mustard;-). Always nice to see what others think of ones country, being a huge Anglophile myself I rather would live in Britain than in Sweden...but it is always fascinating when one gets to see ones own country though others eyes. I am surprised you could bring your sweet dog, there are huge restrictions bringing animals into Sweden, because of fear of getting rabies and other animal illnesses into the country but as you said there were no customs controls I suppose that is the explanation. I hope you will find the rest of your journeys into Scandinavia nice, funny and peaceful! PS. You have to go to Norwayt oo, if you want fantastic mountain and fjord scenery- but a big warning- bring loads of money as Norway is hugely, hugely expensive!

Only dangerous if you're a frog!
But are you sure? They can be really similar in color whit our poisonous "huggorm" so if you don't know what you looking for, it can be hard to tell
And they eat vipers, so these black snakes are good. They also have this yellow spots on their head, that way you can tell it is not a viper.

(Also agreeing about Lidl, it's a nice store, but propably the least Swedish of the chains.)
The food shop was a joke, we have Lidl in the UK and we know it’s mainly German food.
We had a blast, watch the next two Expedition episodes 👍🏻😎
18.11 Oh, I see my hometown - we used to live in Högbrunn. In the roundabout and a right turn is one way to my fathers house. And I can see my curent hometown on the sign. 😀 That is a first on UA-cam 👍
Amazing how beautiful Sweden is and fantastic camp places
It is amazing Frank, lots of places to camp too
Hello and welcome to Sweden! :) Just found your channel and absolutely love it, so wholesome and great work with the videos and editing. Traveling like that, discovering new places/nature/roads is luxury. I do that too but on a motorcycle and it's amazing. Looking forward to see more :D Btw, instant sub!
Thank you & Welcome 😁
Hello and welcome to sweden! A bit late to the show, I know... It was fun to recognize some of the places you passed like Bjärnum and Hässleholm.
John, you'll like our snakes in Australia :) I'd suggest a review of the bright colours theory though
Oooh we don’t like any of the snakes anywhere 😂 but yes, colour thing duly noted 😁
🎩Hats off to the editing, The fish-eye on the front of ya van is a crackin piece of kit,,Best Wishes 👍👍
Cheers Ste 😁👍🏻
What a lovely couple I enjoyed the video. I am working on moving to Norway in less than 2 years. So lovely to see more of a country I plan to see a lot of. And so amazed at how things are done there. Cant wait to see it all for myself.
I think Cooper Really Does Like Sweden, The look on his face was a treat when john was speaking to him, made me smile. Lovely Video guys and John your right I don't want to talk negative about the UK but all the things you pointed out would have been stolen and put on Facebook Marketplace.
I think he does too 😁 and I think you’re right
It's so clean and tidy over there 👍. Coop must be loving it all new sniffs as well as u 🙂 ,ur right here things would damaged or in the lake over here . John Smith's smoothiest roads 🧐🤭. We're just getting over storm Sam 🎐💨. Bear 🐻 😬. Snake 🐍 😳 Shit is worse 😂
Love watching your videos, you two are super funny and love Cooper. Deffo safe, no swear words arse and shit are fine for my ears lol. Have a great time and looking forward to the next video
Haha.. thanks Melanie 😁😂❤️
Loving Sweden. Oh Mandy you gave me such a fright, did a little scream and dropped me iPad with that slithering thing. Mr Coop does look happy. Keep the videos coming and stay safe.
Oh no!! I’m sorry about that.. I screamed too if that makes you feel any better about that 😁❤️
@@johnmandy now that’s given me a giggle😊😁
Beautiful scenery, really enjoying watching your travels. Sweden looks amazing 💜
Ah thanks guys.. it really is 😁❤️
Recommend u go to a more swedish grocery shop to try swedish items too
You where passing Hässleholm and some small village north of town it is near my home and it is lovely to see Sweden thru others eyes.
New to your chanel and I think i like it! Also, funny that you're doing the Lapland trip 'since it's so close'. I think if you would head south from Malmö and go the same distance as you would end up in Rome 🙂
Where is the fun in going to Rome though 😁
@@johnmandy haha true!
Awesome vlog guys. Sweden is an amazing place. Awesome to see a Grass Snake as well this time of year. Awesome looking campervan near the end of vlog. Keep having the fun. On the vote, Shit or Ass ent swear words personal. Enjoy yourselves ❤
Ah thanks Asa, I was well impressed to see one 😍
The route is shown in at least every other video 😎👍🏻
You should come around midsummer, which is celebrated here.
First time viewer, and I'm really enjoying your channel. One thing that I would like is a map in the corner of the screen showing where you are, thanks!
Thanks for watching 😎 We show three word locations wherever we stop, enter those three words in what3words.com and you’ll know exactly where we are 👍🏻
Glad to have you ❤
And that's a good boy!
I don’t understand the thumbs down but everyone has a right to their opinion, I thought that was great video, the lights were superb you two looked so happy and you could see the fun in you both and that for me is SPECIAL. Life is all about cramming as much enjoyment as you can. Thank you both for sharing I SMILED all the way with you.plus as I live in my van you gave a great insight to what it’s like to travel to so many places, I’ve just done 6644miles in Scotland that was the best 5 weeks possibly of my life, I enjoyed it like you two are doing there, Once again BRILLIANT thanks for sharing.
Just found your vlog and fun to see you travel to our country. Just subscribed to The channel, and going to watch what I haved missed, looking forward to more movies from your journey. Drive safe.
Btw, our roads are mostly in terrible condition The more far north you go in Sweden
You should go there earlier in the year, like june/ juli when the weather is more stable however liked your video 🙂
Hmm, i see that the sticks for plowing is in place, prepared for the snow.
Absolutely brilliant footage tonight enjoy both I’m watching you from sunny Lanzarote x
Ooooh very nice, what’s the temperature there then? More than our 8 degrees I should think 😂
great video, snake was genus natrix, like the grass snake, harmless, Sweden looks lovely, thanks
Good to know 😁 thank you
Nice one, Sweden is one of the places we wished we had visited before it this crap went down. Hopefully in a couple of years we will make it once everything has blown over.
We were speaking to a Dutch man in his awesome well travelled old Vario and he was talking about how long he spent in lofoten then down Sweden and now he’s off to Spain for winter sun.. jealous much
I think England need to look at Sweden’s set up. Great flix guys. X.
The snake you found was a grass snake (Natrix natrix)and is one of two snake spicies that we have in Sweden, the other being common European adder/viper (Vipera berus).
Really nice video! :) first time i see your videos and i will see more! :) I saw that you were at Lillskiren (13:00), a very nice place there, I live only a few kilometers away :P have a safe and good drive :)
I love watching you guys! Your smiles get bigger and bigger each day! 😁 Loving experiencing your trip with you via the virtual world. Sweden looks amazing and the facilities look brilliant. ❤️
Ah thanks Leah, it really is amazing 😁❤️
haha, you took off where I live. (close to the airplanes on poles) Enjoy youre visit. Remember snowtires up north from november.
Wooo those cheese rosti are the best! I get some everytime Lidl do a "taste of the alpes" week, so handy to keep in the RV :)
We need more!!! 😂 they are amazing!!! 😂🙌🏻
@@johnmandy I am not ashamed to say the last time Lidl had them in the UK (Early September) I may have bought two boxes full....20 packs....!! ;)
Lovely to see travel vlogs from Normal Van life people. Not clickbait mediocre content from others although I do watch it. Just makes yours better. keep it coming.
Thanks John, there are lots of different styles of videos to watch out there.. glad you like ours 😁👍🏻
Loving Mandy’s enthusiasm for her Swedish shopping haul. You two and your adventures are such a tonic to a cold miserable October day back in Blighty.
Ah that’s fab.. thanks David 😁❤️
Enjoy your vlogs and superb editing so much. The setting to music is simply brilliant ( or even epic )! See you on the road one day. 👌🏻
Ah thanks Susan 😁❤️ see you on the road

Wonderful….the choc covered cheese crisps..think I might leave those! xx
They were better than you’d think 😂 I finished the bag
Great to see you enjoy your trip here! The choc covered cheese crisps were new this autumn. I was unsure about them but my kids loved them. How long did the drive take from uk to Sweden as thinking of doing the reverse trip soon?
Catching upon your expedition.... Sweden looks beautiful ❤ happy travels xx
Haha, no way!
Flatenbadet. I used to live right next to that lake for a few years. Happy to see you enjoyed it. It's a pretty neato spot.
Go swimming there a lot every summer!
Love the journey, thank you both so much for so much information. I would love to do a trip with you guys.
Ah thanks Linda 😁❤️ we’re pains in the backsides really
Cool that you were so close to me. I live in finspång. 13:06 is a lake i use to fish in too. lovely place!
18:53 wait, that's exactly where I live. But never seen or been to that camping place. So strange! Flatenbadet

Ah I bet you can’t.. have you long to wait? Thanks for your first comment and thanks for watching Gary😁
Hi we ordered 13 months ago 😖
Should be out and about in it March 22, until then we enjoy following you guys
Keep filming 👍
Super. Great vid. Pace, music, photography and humour.
What a lovely country Sweden looks.
Quick question: Whenever we have done research on the country it always appears to be a very dear cost of living. Is this something you’ve experienced?
Take care & look forward to next episode. Mal, Dave and Sally xx
Ah thanks guys.. we’ve loved making all of these so far ❤️
It is very expensive compared to the uk from what we’ve found, diesel is about £1.59, lpg is £1.05 and the cheapest bottle of wine you can get is about £7.50 😁
@@johnmandy it's due to high taxes on everything.. On diesel price 60% is tax
Excellent! I absolutely loved Sweden and would love to visit again. Yay! Thanks for bringing us along!
Glad you enjoyed it Elaine.. Sweden is amazing 😁
Great video. I’m really enjoying following your journey. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Sylvia 😁❤️
hey you passed by finjasjön i see! (7:47) and just for fun, its not recommended to swim in, its not very healthy even tho its in better health now than a few years ago. Algae really loves this lake.
It is a harmless grass snake. Thanks for a very interesting video.
Love your video from my country. Glad you like It here. 😊❤
That was a great vlog guy's 👍 👌
Love the drone footage .
Looking forward to the next vlog
Stay safe guy's
Thanks Stan 😁🙌🏻
Absolutely tremendous what an awesome sight seeing that aurora and top marks for Mandy going for a dip ! How you had the balls to do that I do not know 😱
Come on, it's only October! The nude beach in the Swedish town I live in is still at full … swing …
In my van at Långasjöbadet, Skillingaryd watching YT and came across this video/channel and realizing that i am currently parked for the night in the same place as you at 8:45 🤔
Lovely! If you ever visit Östersund, in the middle of Sweden, give me a shout out and I can guide you around here.
Awsome clip hope you enjoyd our butiful country to the max
