    I fully agree. We have spend our 3 week summer vacation in Sweden. Our first time was in 2012 and since then we went back every year. Our "other" home land. No worries about your kids. You have learned and given them the space to learn and experience other environments and cultures. If you guys want to make a stop in The Netherlands, feel free to contact us. I think y'all have done an awesome job with your children. They have traveled the world met different people in very different cultures. They have learned two languages. Seen magical views most of us will not see in a lifetime. Every day y'all get to be with your children without a lot of negativity in this world. Hence me!!! Y'all have taught them to be adventurous, free spirit, independent and enjoy life. You guys are amazing parents!!!

    As beautiful as Sweden is, I don't think I've ever seen a grown man get so emotional over poop pumping facilities (LOL). Reason enough for you all to skip Southeast Asia (where by the way the kids may have to be on a bit of a shortened chain). Thanks for sharing insights on how the kids adapt to this lifestyle. Next time you come to Sweden in August-October, make sure to contact local friluftsföreningar (outdoor clubs) to learn more about the goodies you can find in the woods. Many of them are happy to guide you through all the free delectables you can find in the woods. A LOT of Swedes enjoy berries and mushroom picking. We all look for the forest gold: chanterelles. Slice them, fry them in heavy butter, garlic, salt and pepper and put on toast. Heaven, I tell you. It's ah-mazing.

    I am just wondering: what is your opinion about Largo not being allowed to walk on U.S. streets on his own at an age of 11?
    An interesting fact. A Swedish billionaire was interwieved by a U.S. journalist about the high taxes in Sweden. His answer was: I like to pay high taxes because I do not want to life in a country where poverty exists and where poor people have no chance to get proper education (unless they are involved in extreme debt).

    • @WorldTowning
      @WorldTowning  4 роки тому

      Are kids age 11 not allowed to walk alone in the US? We have been away for a while. What about kids walking home from school? I love the idea of the progressive tax system. As long as it's not abused.

    12:46 You say that August is probably the warmest month, but I think I would argue that July is often warmer. August can be warm too, but it's the start of the end of summer, and the further north you are, the shorter the summers are. :) In north of Sweden there can be snow on the ground as late as May.

    firewood in the rest area. sweden has the largest amount of forest cover (almost 70%) of any country in europe as a percent of it's total area and also the most number of forested hectares. where there are forests there are people with chainsaws whose job it is to cut them down. it is not surprising therefore that the swedish govt has a few logs to give away.
