Before I came to Sweden 11 years ago to study, I thought I was gonna go back after the study is finished. I am still here, enjoying this beauty almost every day.
As a Swede, living in Örnsköldsvik it's exiting to see what you think about our country. It's so easy to look past things that we take for granted. I must say you guys have shown Sweden very well. I follow both Chrome and Chad and have been amazed at their adventures and how they find beautiful places in no man's land. I have previously reflected on the fact that we actually do have the same opportunities here in Sweden. Your vlog has given me the new perspectives I'll thank you for that. I wish both of you a pleasant journey.
I must agree with Marie Gillander. As a Swede living just a stumble south of where she lives, in Härnösand, watching your videos i do agree we take a lot for granted!! I just take my fishing gear and camera and drive for like 20 minutes. And i am in "nomans" land by my self fishing for trout and taking pictures of whatever catches my eyes in nature. A leaf in autumn can be just as beautiful as a newborn raindeer calf taking its first steps, it is just all nature. Thank you both for sharing your films and your adventure! I will hit the subscribe button like an avalanche 😉😊 And, if you ever find your ways passing Härnösand, give me a heads up, and you will have time for loading up, and loading off all you need. BBQ with beer is promised!! Thank you for your films!! I rather much enjoy them 😃💖
Dear Mandy & John, I found your channel by accident. I am a Frenchy living in Denmark for the last 28 years. I am generally very cautious with foreigners driving by a country and giving their opinion... but I fell for your tone, your open mind, your kindness... Thank you for your beautiful pictures and I'll enjoy following you from now on. If you ever get by Espergærde in Denmark (nothern part of Sealand), please stop by!. Take care of yourselves. Cedric
Best food: Punchrulle...formerly known as a Vacuum cleaner (looks like a 1950's vacuum cleaner). Arrack drenched bread crumbs cased in marzipan and dipped in chocolate. Started as product made from leftovers in the bakeryshops.
As a Brit living in Sweden for 40 years I’m so glad you appreciate the beautiful nature in Sweden. I expect you’ve realized by now though that Sweden us pretty much closed as regards amenities at this time of year! But with your big van that won’t be a problem.
I've lived in Sweden for ten years now, still takes my breath away.

Please visit Sweden again in Summertime when it's warmer and greener. =) And then don't miss taking the boat over to the island Gotland, it's really beautiful there.
It's nice to follow your journey through Sweden. I moved to Jokkmokk 1991 and have lived here since that. If you still are in the area I really recommend you to visit Jokkmokk. I don't like museums BUT the museum in Jokkmokk is different! Jokkmokk also have a lot of small restaurants, shops and lots of nice places for wild camping and nice campsites. Lot's of nice hiking trails, beautiful mountains (but you are little bit late to get the colored leaf. They are already gone and today we get som white things falling from the sky. It's a perfect day for hot coffee and editing videos. Welcome to the north! / Matti
Just found ur channel. Ur a very lovely couple, genuin with lots of humor and heart. Like others have said....Swedens worth a visit in summertime as well. Now I´m off to backtrack ur journey thro the world :)
I feel so proud when yoy show my home country to the world. I love my country and seeing that people from other countries can fall in love with it as well makes me a proud swede. It has it´s shortcomings but over all I think I was very lucky being born here and growing up and getting old (64) here. I.m happy to share my lovely Sweden with you and anyone who wants to come here and see our beautyful nature an evrything else that´s fantastic about Sweden. You should mention the swedish "Allemansrätten" though. It´s an ancient law/traditon that gives evrybody the right to enjoy nature freely. You can pick berrys or flowers as long as you don´t do it near peoples houses ot farms. But you havde the righr to visit forrests and lakes as long as you leave it in the same, or better, shape that you found it. To us who live here it´s not anything we talk about very much but having visited several other countries I know that it´s really a big privilege.
I'm 74 driving a small Citroen Jumpy and I am planning going North from France in 2024. Finding your posts so interesting. Can't make up my mind on best time of year.
A great video. I recently found your vlog. I see you are also infected by the Sweden virus haha. We are Belgians, visited Sweden the 1st time in 2005. Immediately it felt like coming home. In 2017 we moved to the High Coast (which you seem to have missed it's spectaculair views, you'll have to come back!). No regrets what so ever!!
Hey you two, make sure you try Pytt y panna. It’s the most delicious traditional Swedish hash that will blow your socks off. I lived on it for months when I worked in Halmstad many, many years ago…. And, hope you like tunnels when driving through Norway… many are at least miles long with breathtaking fjords at every turn, get ready.
I'd been following the "Lost in Europe" channel for some time but they've not uploaded a video in ages so it was lovely to have a report from you guys ♥😁🐾
It was lovely to see them and to catch up, they’ve been very busy indeed 😍 We quite happily pay our £1 a month to get to see what they’re up to.. if you want to catch up with them both that’s all it’ll cost you 😁👍🏻❤️
I worked alot in a town called Gällivare and i used to drive the road that goes to Porjus and Jokkmokk, and in the old railway station in Porjus there is a brittish couple that has a diner there with amazing food :) and driving a truck from Luleå to Kiruna i see alot of wildlife
Sorry, forgot to mention in my last comment. We lost our sailing boat "Mandolin Wind" during hurricane Irma and have decided to name our new home on wheels "Mandy" so finding your videos has really inspired us.
Hi John and Mandy really enjoyed watching your video and been really enjoying the trip so far really looking forward to watching your video keep safe 😷👍🏻
Smashing Vlog Guys 😍 We were in Scandinavia in 2015 and it just keeps on giving and giving 🇸🇪 🇳🇴 🇩🇰 🇫🇮 ❤️ We left the camper in Stockholm and went on a four day mini Baltic cruise to Talin Helsinki and St Petersburg which was amazing and pretty cheap.. Norway 🇳🇴 is just WOW !!! The Fjords are epic.. Hope you have more luck with the Northern lights than we did tho 👎🏼 Glued to this series and what’s to come 🚐💨❤️
What a beautiful country with some amazing scenery. Must be the trip of a lifetime seeing all this neck of the woods. Stay warm and dry. Mal, Dave and Sally
Thank you. Absolutely brilliant, what a fantastic place. First motor home to complete a rally stage 😁. Take care, safe travels. All the very best to you. Cheers. 👍🐾😎
Hi mandy and John 👍 just us2 saying hi 👋 and thanks for again sharing this video update 🤔definitely looks fantastic over there 🌞keep safe and say well and safe travels 🌞 sue and den 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
If you're going back to Sweden after Norway and then Finland, you'll probably cross the border at Karesuando (Sweden) / Kaaresuvanto (Finland). My daughter, Joanna, now lives in Finland and her partners family have a reindeer farm at Kuttanen (less than an hour south from that border). It's on the roadside (on the right as you go south). She'll show you the reindeer and give you a talk about them (if she's there - she sometimes helps out in the little souvenir shop). If you are following that route, another place not to miss is a brilliant souvenir shop where you can get coffee and a donut for 1E - it's called Sannan Putikki. Loving your videos. Keep them coming.
I have been following your travel’s and as I have been planning a fishing trip to northern Norway 🇳🇴 and Sweden 🇸🇪 in 2023 camping,, I have a old Hymer at home in Scotland which I have done a fare bit of Europe without any problems and one year we just traveled about England as they were loads of parts of England I hadn’t seen so am enjoying watching your videos and taking in anything that I can use or help me when I plan my trip so stay safe and keep enjoying your time 👍🏴🇬🇧
Wow! What wonderful stopovers you're finding. These lakeside places are wonderful and something I'll not forget. Thank you so much for sharing so much with us. We're very lucky. Rock on... now let's get our lovely van an even more detailed covering of mountain colouring and illustrations. Fabulous. Thank you. Pam, x for Coops!

The shot of the lake with the mirror of the Sky in the calm waters wins "Frame of the week" what wonderful scenery and great to see Ash looking well on his land also. I hope to re-trace your travels very soon so keep up the fantastic work. Happy Birthday to B role Mandy XX and hugs to Cooper!!

It was lovely see lost in Europe. Please show more on UA-cam. John Mandy love your vlog . Some lovely views but cannot wait to see Norway. One of my places to go and Finland.
I'm running out of superlatives ! Epic scenery for our birthday though 🤩 You could see the trees changing colour as you drove further north too, so beautiful, can't wait for next week x
I'm glad you liked what you saw in Sweden. A nice report! But I would have liked to see on the map where you were on each site, and the date of each shoot.
We show exactly where we parkup using the what3words service, you’ll see it onscreen at each parkup. The video also starts with a rough time of recording shown on screen too 👍🏻

BTW, many Brits have immigrated to Sweden, mainly the young ones, with DIY skills. You can buy a small place far out in the woods very very cheap, but they usually need repairs. Just stunning, a late happy birthday Mandy. Thank you For sharing. Oh god John you’ve a lot to learn about Father Christmas and co. Better do some swotting up before you get to his home 😊. Stay safe the three of you.

As a Swede i hate to say this, but Norway wins the scenery prize. the northern Norwegian roads are the pure definition of EPIC!
As a swede I should dislike this but it’s true
