I have followed your advice for Dermodex and Blepharitis with wipes, drops, eyelid cleanser and spray. It's been a bit costly but so absolutely worth it. For the first time in over a year, I don't feel that I have sand up inside my eyelids and today the tiny red capillaries in my eyes are reduced. My whites look whiter ! My eyes feel refreshed and calm. I didn't ever notice signs of Dermodex but I use the treatments anyway just in case they are there. I had so many floaters I had the fluid in my eyes replaced. I see very clear now. During the procedure the doctor found early detached retina in one eye and a similar problem in the other. He repaired the retina in both eyes. The problem was hidden by the floaters and the thick gel in my eyes. The floaters were being caused by the gel sticking to the retina and then pulling off pieces of it. I have to wear sunglasses now because of the clairity.
I was diagnosed with Ocular rosacea about 2 years ago, with MGD and blepharitis. It took me about 1.5 years to get tested for vitamin D. Neither my family doctor, or ophthalmologist tested me. I have been waiting for this for more than a year after reading research on the treatment of MD with LPC made by Aker. The initial studies were done using mice and were very conclusive. I believe human MD trials are ongoing. My results are amazing. I had some damage to the retina in my left eye after my MD turned wet. I didn't know I had MD until this happened. This was 2019. The damage was about 30% vision loss in my left eye. Now it is less than 5%. My ophthalmologist is very pleased! Please share this. the press ignores this because the pharm industry does not want people to know about it and they are major advertisers on mainstream media.

I was taking 2000 mg of salmon oil, the recommended (on the container) dose, which acts as a blood thinner, and found that my skin was getting fragile. Just bumping into something would cause a tear in the skin and after years my forearms are covered with scars from this. Dropped the dosage to 1,000 mg and the problem resolved, so one has to be aware of taking too much of supplements and monitor their individual reactions.

I am a 75 year old woman with macular degeneration. When I was diagnosed (probably 20 years ago) I was never prescribed any medication or anything. But here I am at 75 and really do not wish to go blind! I don’t have any symptoms. I use Restasis eye drops every morning and every night. I don’t know anything else to do. Please advise.
Important emphasis for B3 should be they used the form "nicotinamide" versus the most common form people will get in a store which is just NIACIN or Nicotinic acid. The form they used is NO FLUSH and less dangerous. If people ask for niacin they will not get that form.
Is there any alternative to eye injection due to Macular degenerate as loosing vision in one eye? Desperate for help from a Good eye doctor Be blessed for all you do for us humans😂
@@lsmith992 Sadly, theclassroomdoc is very misinformed and even saying either of them are dangerous with one being less dangerous is absurd. Sure, if you take large doses of nicotinimide, maybe, but nicotinic acid or flush niacin as many call it, has studies galore on high does to lower cholesterol, schizophrenia and other health issues. We are talking 3000 mg a day or more. I take up to 2000mg a day myself. It pays to research for yourself and not listen to a random person on youtube, including me!
Yes, Black current may be a source of GLA which can help with inflammation, Bilberry is a strong antioxidant and saffron has been looked into for helping retinal and possibly nerve function as well. I did not include them in this presentation due to time and the fact there is not as much robust research on these ingredients as they pertain to eye health.
I cured dry eye and ocular rosacea with vitamin A from Norwegian cod liver oil and vitamin A palmitate. 3000mcg 4times a week. My ophthalmologist was stunned, he knew nothing about nutrition and eye health. Consumers now must become the CEO of their own health...the sick care system is broken.

Thank you for the indepth information about newer products for dry eye. I have used the Ivizia, the regular Blink, (not the new one you suggest) Refresh Mega-3. Mine comes and goes, perhaps due to pollens? I wore contact lenses for 52 years, without dry eyes. After cataract removal the floaters developed and so did the dry eye. Age, probably, the problem. But I am going to try the vitreous health supplement. Will let you know.
Thank you! Yeah I have heard mixed reviews about the vitreous health supplement for floaters but it could be because some people's "floaters" may not be due to gel changes inside of the eye but instead due to other neurological visual disturbances. Either way, looking forward to hearing back from your experience.
Vitamin c is good for tissue repair. I eat 150g of rockmellon for breakfast and at dinner to keep my levels up. Kiwi fruit is an excellent source of vitamin c. Just one for breakfast and one in the evening. The body can only take up a limited amount at a time, so its a good idea to split it like i do. Mega dosed of c can cause the excessive amount to turn harmful and damage tissues. To confirm this do a deep dive in google, look for research from government health departments or educational institutions. Good luck 😊
Really good question. I want to do a video on this subject. With RCE, the most important thing is to support the tear film and healing of the cornea. Topical and even oral vitamin C has been used for healing of corneal wounds and post surgical cases too, but it will be important to consult your local doctor about what exactly they recommend for you and how much. There are some other food concerns depending on the treatment your doctor could recommend, such as oral doxycycline for example. Dairy products can interfere with oral doxy.
Excellent video! Thank you so much for all this great information. I had a tear and bleeding vein near the optic nerve, the doctor couldn't explain why, had shots of a drug to help the vein heal (didn't work) and took AReds for several months which I don't feel helped. I feel my doctor was very uninformed (and unfortunately the only one in my healthcare network). I now have a dark spot I can't see past, am living in another country waiting for healthcare and I'm hoping some of these supplements will help stall things. Also, ccould you possibly discuss the benefits of "blue light" blocking glasses? Thanks for all your work!

Thank you so much ,God bless the work you are doing ,eyes are the Windows of the soul ,I wish we have an optician like you in my country ,my brother had suffered al his life of querakotino cornea malformation and went through many operations, he died at 55 almost blind 😢
Hi this is Kor from sta rosa laguna PH. 1st time to hear astoxanthin. Thanks for sharing benefits.
Watching from Tanzania .Thank you so much
Yes I have heard of Lutein
I started taking Vit D 3 for some time now and wow… what a difference; also I have lots more energy! I take 10,000 iu’s a day. I am indoors a lot.
What are the side effects with too much Vit D3?
Should take K2 with high dosages of D3. Helps it transport to where you benefit and not build up in your arteries.
Same here! I have so much more energy. My levels are higher than my mainstream doctor likes but good levels according to more modern studies. Just over 100

I take Nordic naturals, ultimate Omega 1280 mg, and I do bruise easily. Been taking it for over 10 years daily.
Have you been taking it for eye health specifically? or for your heart or any other reason?
@@DoctorEyeHealth I take it for dry eye. I was told that it also is good for the heart, although a seminar about heart health few years ago discounted any benefit for heart health.
Looking forward to a deep dive into red light therapy and its effects on glaucoma and/or scotoma.
Yes! working on that!
Caatholic night prayers
Dr. This is the second time i came across your show, and it's is very informative and educational. I am 77yr. and trying to locate an eye dr. I am in Brooklyn were are located...
Watching you live from Ghana West Africa,
Thank you very much Doctor.
Amazing!!!! thank you for being here!
I take AREDs 2 prescribed by my Retina specialist
Can retina detachment be improved .thankyou.lost vision right eye
@@hardeepkogar
You should have gone immediately to eye doctor; easy to reattach the retina with laser. My brother experienced it.
@@hardeepkogar Reattachment is only possible if you had seen a specilaist immediately when you were experiencing the symptoms. A procedure would have attached your retina thus saving your vision.
Thanks Dr Joseph Allen 👍❤️
Huge news for eye health. Lysovrta is releasing its LPC Neuro supliment for sale on December 15th! I have MD and eating fish eggs. The improvment in my vision was amazing since I started eating them daily. It is avaliable worldwide. I will order it and let you know how I am seeing. PS I am tired of eating fish eggs every day!
Do you mean lysoveta? From Aker Biomarine
@@jesincov Yes! The supplement will be available on December 15. I have pre-ordered it and hope to have it soon. Sorry for the misspelling.
I watch from Netherlands, thank you for all to the information.
Thanks for watching!
I take Shaklee multivitamins (Vita Lea Gold) and Shaklee Vitamin D3
I am taking PreserVision AREDS 2, prescribed by my Opthalmologist.
rutin also helps and astaxanthin from fish Querectin vitamin c vitamin E anthocyanins and I believe tannins help.
also beet root powder might help with the nitrates for the veins arteries and the red pigment color maybe citruline as well
Thank u for your educational info it's a big help esp.w/my dry eyes..
Really good dr..❤
Also check the ingredients at the back of the bottle..sometimes..the ingredients…have fake oils ..like soya oil or veg oil ..with are bad for ….your body .if you cannot pronounce the ingredients dont buy the ‘brand”
We really like your video style! It's very attractive and authentic
I'm 71 and diagnosed with optic neuropathy. I ordered astaxanthin after watching your video. Hope it will help. Thanks
Great information. I've been taken a lot of name vitamins and on the right path.
Thank you!
I am in the UK and I am 81 yrs old at at this moment I am suffering with Blepharitis
Watching from South Africa
I have learned so much from your videos! Recently diagnosed with right eye glaucoma, PEX, CRVO and now chronic iritis. All within 6 months. I can't help but wonder if these diseases are all related to each other? I am definitely going to try supplements in the hope that the disease processes will slow down . Happy New Year! Thank You🎉
I am a 75 year old woman with macular degeneration. When I was diagnosed (probably 20 years ago) I was never prescribed any medication or anything. It was just a disease I knew nothing about and got no answers nor suggestions from the doctor. I do think I stumbled upon A-reds and took them for a while……but I really don’t remember. But here I am at 75 and really do not wish to go blind! I don’t have any symptoms. I use Restasis eye drops every morning and every night. I don’t know anything else to do. Please advise.
Astaxanthin- Thanks for the recommendation! I read it was also good for inflammation in the body!
Thank you Doctor.please answer the question
Yes, I have heard of Astaxanthin
Important emphasis for B3 should be they used the form "nicotinamide" versus the most common form people will get in a store which is just NIACIN or Nicotinic acid. The form they used is NO FLUSH and less dangerous. If people ask for niacin they will not get that form.
Is there any alternative to eye injection due to Macular degenerate as loosing vision in one eye? Desperate for help from a Good eye doctor Be blessed for all you do for us humans😂
Less dangerous?
Lol, whatever...
Flush niacin is the one with the most benefits to health.
@@StelmaDesigns
Yes. The flush feels like it's clearing my blood vessels of anything that shouldn't be there. Like a drain flush.
Cape Breton ,Nova Scotia Canada !
What about black currants and bilberry, and saffron?
Yes, Black current may be a source of GLA which can help with inflammation, Bilberry is a strong antioxidant and saffron has been looked into for helping retinal and possibly nerve function as well. I did not include them in this presentation due to time and the fact there is not as much robust research on these ingredients as they pertain to eye health.
Thanks Doctor, watching from Malaysia
That is amazing! So happy you are here!
Super happy to hear you were able to achieve that! Cod liver oil does have a good amount of vitamin A and other benefits too. Do you still take that much vitamin A 4x a week?
How long did it take to see a difference?
@@DoctorEyeHealth thank you for questioning me.
I take 3,000 mcg, Not mg. Yes 4x/week.
@@anascholtz2895 3-4 weeks
. Hi. Can you please go back and correct your original post, so people who only see that post won't take the wrong amount? Thanks😊

I take a specialized CBD oil for my Glaucoma. It helps me immensely...
This is own time. Thank you so much. I just had cataract surgery and now my eyes have more floaters.😢
Good. Morning Doctor I am fromGuyana in South America
I'd like to know your thoughts on Lumify eyedrops used daily.
Not 100% certain on that. But I use good drops regularly, not taking any chances. Thanks!
I strongly recommend visiquil eye vitamins they are the best out there.
My question is what can you recommend for me that can take care of glaucoma so that I wouldn't loose my sight totally
My late mother had macular degeneration, dry in one eye and wet in the other, blind in the wet eye. I started taking AREDS supplements when she got diagnosed. So far, my retinas are pristine in both eyes so the optometrist told me two years ago. Will keep up with the AREDS supplements. MD is something I never want to develop!
DR.ALLEN ONE QUESTION I WANT TO KNOW IF “” METHYLSULFONYLMETHANE “” EYE DROPS IS GOOD FOR EYES FLOATERS AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US!!!
Must not be, as he chose not to respond. Oh well….
Astaxanthin and Lutien spare working well for me.
Glad to hear it!
Im 22 and got diagnosed with this they said they cant do anything and left me with it my family also doesn't understand how i feel im so scared since I've so much too see idk what to do please help me 🙏😭
You are just.sayingj something that will help us thank you.
My son has a series disease of an eye he is 18 years old his 1eyes is already damage by viruses singaldad herpis jostar what to do now plz help me sir
What is the best vitamins for glaucoma?
Most of my info has come from you, and not my eye specialist, especially with supplements and eye lid wipes. Ty😊
I am following your eyes
After operatiom i am having eye flash sometimes
Yes i have
I am watching fromBarbados great imformation thanks.
Thank you. i received a lot from this talk.
I was diagnosed with cataract, is there a way this can be treated without surgery?
How about recurrent corneal erosion? which vitamin is better?
Watching from the UK. I wish you were my eye doctor. As always, this is an interesting video.
Hey, I got an infection in my eye over 12 weeks ago, I’ve been told just to wait, my eye is still red in the corner it has reduced but is there anything I can take to help it heal faster
