I cringe 😬…. This is me after working on diesels and I hate to say it….. Should use OE fuel filters. Whether a Dodge, Chevy or Ford…. Seen too many times where it causes a check engine light and being too restrictive…. If you do get a check engine light…. You’ll know why. Might not happen… But I’ve seen that several times over the years. Hopefully that won’t be the case here....
    Awesome video as always Dave…

No CEL Wes its good...not a fan of Motorcraft filters ever since they started making most of them in China. Wix/NAPA Gold (same) is my go to. Thanks!

@@mydirtygarage understandable. I’m lucky, my 6.0 oE filters are still made in the states. I totally get it

We change these filters frequently. On our trucks no less than every 10K miles. Go ahead and put the S&S fuel disaster prevention kit on. For the cost $399 it goes a long way to prevent you from spending $10-15K. We just installed a S&S DCR pump kit and have been very pleased. We love these trucks. They have been great for personal and commercial use. I see in your video that it still has a replaceable CCV (PLEASE THROW THAT AWAY) and replace with OEM non serviceable type. This is a must to prevent hi crankcase pressure and oil leaks. On this type engine mounted fuel filter with 3 lines the first and smallest on the left is the injector return it needs the updated piece that clips over the rubber end going into plastic fitting. It is made up of a tiny barb fitting and will snap right off. We have fixed many. A motorcraft fuel filter kit comes with this hose protector in the box or they use to. The drivers side intake hose are bad to blow out at that age and miles I would recommend upgrading that as well.
Great content love the galaxies and FE engines.
