Thank you Brodie and Shooty for being true professionals who respect the game, respect each other and respect us, the diehard A’s fans. I think I need a box of tissues right next to me all the way through game 162. 😢
I'm crying right now! What a beautiful thing to say to your colleague on the saddest day in 57 years of baseball history in Oakland. Sorry to see both of you leaving but we will never forget you.
As A's fans we are sad about this situation. Thank you to Brodie and Shooty. You guys added more fun to being an A's fan. I loved watching you guys even when the team was not doing so well.
I hate how real this is getting. I watched you guys with my grandparents in their final days as they would fall asleep to the postgame shows in the evening as I said goodnight to them. A's baseball is a generational love I've been lucky enough to share with my family, thank you Shooty and thank you Brodie for bring us together
This video is judt another example (among many) of two sublime professionals. Wishing both Brody & Shooty All The Best in future endeavors. Thank You for demonstrating and teaching me what it is to be a professional in all you do in both good times and in adversity. You both are credits to your profession and to your race…..the Human Race. Best Regards, D.
Well spoken Brodie. You both are beyond professional. You shared that love of this team for so many years and although it is a shame for it to end like this, you’ve created so many amazing memories. From all A’s fans, thank you and all of the crew over the years.
Man Brody, you have been killing me today with these videos, but in a good way. Thank you for the videos, and A’s coverage, as upset as I am, you helped me say goodbye to the Coliseum and A’s.
Watching from NYC, Brodie and Shooty, you both have been a class act. Thank you for bringing your insight on A's baseball to a fan 3000 miles away. Best of luck to you both. Again ... THANK YOU !!
Brodie, I wish you the best. Always loved watching you on NBC. It's not easy to lose a job you love. Please keep your UA-cam channel going in support of bay area teams. BTW, you bring me to tears when I hear your heart felt broadcasts. This really hurts. The A's meant a lot to a lot of people! I gave up on baseball this year. I thought about going one last time because I love the ballpark. I have a lot of memories watching great A's teams all the way back to the 70's. But I guess I am too sad it is all about to be over and there is too many emotions and memories of my dad taking me to games those games. Love you, best wishes and good luck! 💚💛
I watched this live and again just now. Still have a lump in my throat. I can only hope that the powers that be will have the wisdom to put each of you in a place where we can benefit from your knowledge and story telling abilities. Nothing but the best.
I’m a Twins fan and baseball card collector from back in the day and I hadn’t heard the name Shooty Babbit in decades! He seems like a tremendous human being and wonderful coworker!
Native from the South Bay here. Brodie, I appreciate and love both of you. I saw you both, I believe it was in 2012. I can’t remember if it was a pregame or postgame show. All I remember was being so awestruck. You have no idea how much your voices have played throughout the household since I was a kid. There are no words to describe how devastated and hurt that I feel for you both. And for all of us A’s fans. Thank you for your sincerity and dedication to serving the Bay, specifically the East Bay. I wish you both nothing but the absolute best. 💚💛🙏
Brodie, I have loved your authenticity and true Town spirit with theAthletics I will miss you, Pratt, the A’s and the MLB going forward Hope to see you reporting in other sports going forward. You are loved and like family to so many.
I grew up and still to this day a Phillies fan. That being said Brodie entered my life through the sharks. But I always seemed to follow Brodie no matter what subject you cover or video you post these days I’m here for you. You are a heart on sleeve kind of man and I appreciate that. The sports world needs more broadcasters like you. Thank you Brodie I can never say it enough 😢

Thank you Brodie and Shooty for being amazing professionals! We are going to miss you Brodie for all your Bay Area sports coverage, especially your A's and Sharks coverage! And Shooty, I'm excited to see what you have in store! Thank you again gentlemen for your wonderful energy and informative, professional coverage!
Thank you. I have been a pro public speaker for 25 years but, still, many of the words that you gentlemen expressed still encourage me to keep striving for improvement. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Brodie > I friggin love you > & anyone who can make Shooty tear up on camera you know possesses the real deal sauce > what a ride indeed....thanks for taking us along 🙏
I got to do a remote with Shooty two times at two different restaurants in San Francisco. Shoot is class and I enjoy any chance I get to work with him or just talk with him off air. While it doesn't make sense what NBC is doing all the Best to Shooty and Brodie.
A beautiful sendoff, thank you Brodie for your passion as our A's fan insider and professionalism throughout this whole ordeal. Your emotion and pain mirrored our own 😓Thank you Shooty, your enthusiasm , insight and style as one of the East Bay's own is unmatched, I will miss all the "Shootyisms"! I'll be at the Coliseum Thursday one last time and don't know how I'm gonna make it through🥺 I don't know if this is the end of my fandom but I know it will never be the same.
Brodie, thank you for your dedication to the team. It is evident you're a passionate fan like the rest of us & I always enjoy your input. I wish you the best in whatever you do. Go A's!
Brodie and Shooty are the best!!! It’s a damn shame that this entire situation is happening and that the A’s ownership/front office are a bunch of heartless cowards.
@@woody4077 It was mostly Oakland's fault (and A's ownership) that allowed the Raiders to leave. The A's leaving is mostly on John Fisher and Dave Kaval.
@@woody4077uh, Fisher pulled out of the Howard Terminal project not Oakland because he was too broke to complete it. The Coliseum was supposed to be the backup but they lied about that too. Selfish, evil, greedy dude.
I’m not sure how many more of these goodbyes I’m going to be able to handle 😢. As we get closer to the end of the season, the gravity of the situation becomes more difficult.
I am a lifelong Yankee fan and I am saddened by what has happened in Oakland with the team being taken away from the people in this town and its surrounding area. The A's have an awesome fan base, fans who really love their team, passionately support it, and don't deserve to have it taken away from them like that. John Fisher has screwed over 3 cities. Oakland, whose team he took away from them, Sacramento, because he won't put their city's name on the team name (No "Sacramento A's" or "Sacramento Athletics", just the "A's" or "Athletics") despite the fact that the city was kind enough to house them for 3 years, and Las Vegas, because the people there don't want the A's, don't want a new stadium built there, and don't want to be taxed to help finance the building of a new stadium for a team they don't even want there, because they want their OWN expansion team there instead, not a team from another city. Besides being forced to pay for a new stadium, the people of Las Vegas also have to see another one of their iconic landmarks, the Tropicana Hotel and Casino, being demolished to make space for the stadium they don't want for the team they don't want. I may be a Yankee fan but I stand in solidarity with the OAKLAND A's fans against a greedy owner (John Fisher) and a terrible commissioner, Rob Manfred, who not only didn't try to prevent the team from being taken away from Oakland, but openly encouraged and supported its eventual move to Las Vegas. This is just not fair to this great fan base.
And of course I ran into Brodie once at the coliseum, you were very pleasant, kind, and engaging when we briefly spoke for a few minutes years ago, thank you Brodie
Shooty and Brodie you will both be missed dearly😢 thank you guys for many years of memories
