It's the same with Jamie Oliver, I can't stand the style and the delivery, but you can't argue about the recipes and the food. Always good and easy to follow.
Adds flavour. The ham has very little water in it before boiling so any liquid that you boil into it will also add taste. I use cider, but I'm going to try the ginger ale. On a smaller joint 1st in case I don't like.

I do this very year. It's delicious. If you divide the weight by the time she suggests you should get the number of minutes to each 500
