I wasted 3 days following someone else doing this trick and couldn't make it work. Now it works thanks to you

Thank you for anothergreat tutorial. Question-can the ellipse be made smaller and the magnification greater with this technique?

is there a square option instead of the ellipse?

Nice tutorial. But a little mistake happened to you. By copying the Eclipse / MediaIn / Transform / Shadow strand, the color correction was "overwritten". To add the text within the Elipse you only need to add the Elipse mask to the text node and add it after the first merge by a second.

Color Grading Insights You could have pasted an “instance” of the ellipse mask which means the settings would be linked, or even better, simply connect your first ellipse to the text as a mask! No need to copy anything. Reusing nodes is a great feature of Resolve/Fusion
