To add to this. You can adjust shear/rotation/size in the shading tab to be able to modify the shadow for example. One common use is to have a shadow on the "floor" instead of a simple drop shadow
Superb explanation 👌
Great video thanks

How to copy/paste Text attributes to another text layer?
just wow

comprehensive and educational, jet you missed to go deeper into types - like the; "frame / circular / path" | I'm having problem with using the frame type (trying to create framed revolving text around the display). I understand, perhaps in some of the next videos :)
It's already a 20min which goal was to present each functionalities available in the Text+. I can't possibly cover in the same video everything you can create with it.
For something like that I would most likely go over to fusion instead as it will be a lot easier to animate anything there. I'll see if I can make a video about it.
@@VideoEditorStudio I am mentioning this only because I'm noob at fusion for the moment (I'm learning doe), and wanna create auto stretching 19:6 / 6:19 format circulating text macro with background behind text, and was curious about that "Frame type" path, and could it solve my desire to create this autoresize crawl text tool, since there is not even one video that - draws attention to it, and I did my due diligence to sift them (videos) a lot in past 10 day's. To animate circular or path types is relatively easy for a beginner like my self, but that Frame type - it seem's it's broken. I succeeded to a certain extent with Path type (drawing) but in the corner's text* overlap on corners, and I am not aware how to make it disappear under °45 on one side, and to continue text crawling on the other side under °75 angle, in corners where previous side text has ended :) This has to do with that rectangle mask tool in fusion LOL I suppose (I will have to take classes on Fusion it seem's, because I got obsessed with creating such tool / if I create it, I will share it with you - and you can spread love further down the road with your subs). THANK YOU for taking time, to read my comment and answer on it ❤❤ Discussion about it on forum; forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=114087 This is one example of what I'm talking about; ua-cam.com/video/93Uv3XSCfFA/v-deo.html THIS IS THE EXACT TOOL that I'm talking about; ua-cam.com/video/E6iGUW1GfF8/v-deo.html
It's SUCH a powerful tool, and for anyone who knows any of Avid's attempts at a title tool... they look like a joke compared to this.

How the clip came that way
When I want to add text+ into my project it just returns with a missing file error (I'm on the free version). Is there a fix to it or do I have to buy the premium?
is it somehow possible to only change the color of one word? for example to only change the word "Davinci" to red and "Resolve" stays white?
You can do that with the normal Text (not Text+), for the Text+ you need to use a modifier for some reason
Character Level Styling ( text+)
HOW DO I CHANGE ALL FONTS AT ONCE! I've mapped out, timed, and started animating my text for a lyric video. First time using DaVinci Resolve. I started with text+ thinking I would have more options for animations later. I didn't pick a font thinking it would be trivial to change it later. Now I'm banging my head against my desk trying to figure out why this simple universal function that every software has been capable of since the dawn of computer word processing is some how not part of the Text+ capabilities. Why isn't it as simple as select all and pick your font? How do the professionals handle a client that wants a different font after the video is made? This should be a 2-3 click solution that is completely stopping the creative flow.
I come from a background of audio production with over a decade of experience. I took multiple classes in Final Cut, Premier and After Effects. I am not tech illiterate. How come every forum I find other people with this problem all say no its not possible?
I don't want to spend an hour changing each individual title's font only to have to change it again later. How do people audition fonts if this simple task is not allowed?
I can accept that Text+ will not do what I'm asking but can I convert everything to regular Text?
I did it last night and now im trying to remember lol ! you have to like combine them or fuse them if you find it out lmk!
yes! this! it is a basic requirement. I have not found the answer yet, i have searched a lot. Now I am looking at scripts, plugins or writing a python script for it myself. Such a basic requirement I cannot believe I can't find an easy solution yet!
So there is a very nice explanation how to make my text + perfect. Do it exactly the way I want it. But I've spent almost 5 hours all over the internet without any tutorial on "how to copy all attributes, even animation, from single text+ to multiple text+."If you can spend a little bit of your time and tell me how to do it exactly :O I will be in your debt
To my knowledge "Paste attribute" only work on the "setting" tab not the "title" tab. Meaning that you'll not be able to copy paste adjustment made to the font, shade, color etc.. the only one that could be copy paste is an animation if it has been keyframe on the zoom and position for example (in the setting tab)
