Thanks again Ivana! Gorgeous shawl/scarf/wrap whatever - love it. Sometimes the simplest stitches are all a beautiful yarn needs - certainly true in the case of this shawl. It's really a great reminder to me how much pleasure the simplest garments can bring with a little creativity and good materials. Thanks again for the inspiration!!
Nice visit. Thank you for sharing your evening walk and experience of hearing and seeing Tom Jones. I love your scarves and your numerology quirks! ….which will end up making total sense. Take care.🐇
No worries about a/c sounds--it is hot and you don't need to melt for us 😉. Brave to put on that sweater! Love your candor (as always) and the tangents are perfect: exactly what happens in casual conversations with friends...Thanks for sharing with us , Ivana.
What a neat experience to see Tom Jones!!! I love your scarves, Ivana! I have some alpaca that I had no clue as to what I wanted to make with it and now I know! Thank you. 🌸🌼🌻💙
Thankyou for sharing, Ivana. I loved how you spoke and paid tribute to Tom Jones..a consumate performer at any age. I smiled when you mentioed his name dropping on stage..they are/were his friends..just like Jackie Rose, Amy, Inga, CamillaSelma, Anniina and so many more are your knitting friends. We are all people who connect through our love of fibre and crafts, that is what is important.Go well in your week.I enjoy seeing you harvest (and use)your garden produce. ❤🙏🌏🐨xx
Love Tom Jones. He’s a real gentleman who has never forgotten his Welsh coal-mining beginnings. I’m definitely going to start one of those scarves. They look so elegant and will be a great stash buster and comfort knit, I somehow thought there would be more stitches on there! I can relate to the numbers 8 and 4 too. My twin sons were born on the 8th of the month, and my house is number 8. So 88 is perfect for my scarf! 😅 Hope things cool down for you soon. The heat can be very draining. ❤
Thank you for another wonderful vlog. I really needed some comfort today and you delivered. Your one-liners are hilarious. “It’s not that kind of show.” “I look calm but there’s a party in my head.” As for the number 8, that holds a special place in my heart too. Also a good number for a dinner party. Please keep the air conditioning on and be comfortable. We can’t hear it. Looking forward to your next episode.
Visiting friend in Cyprus at the moment and was hoping to bump into you ! The people here are so friendly, the fruit is literally falling off on the pavements, the sea is magical, the food is delicious and a real treat to see traditional embroidery and lace jewelry. And yes it’s cooking hot ! Thank you for your lovely podcasts.🌸
The feeling of the hot air washing over you is so familiar. I am from Denmark originally, 4 seasons, mild summer about 25C on rare occasions more. At least from what I remember. Then I moved to the States, and I'm experiencing summers there are 40+C, and it's just too hot. So I am more or less only outside when I need to water my garden, other than that I live in the AC while I dream of winters. In summer, I more or less hibernate, and wake up when the cold hit. Love the big scarfs! I always knit them together in the bottom to make an infinity scarf, but maybe next time, I will just bind off and see how i like it. Can always sew them together if I don't enjoy it like that.
I feel so blessed to be able to sit in my living room in Kansas City, MO, USA and be able to see Tom Jones performing in Cyprus!! Thank you for taking the time to share. I love the adventure of it all!! ❤❤❤ BTW, I'm knitting while I watch it! WhooHoo!!!
Love the podcast and we can never hear the AC on so leave it on so you don't boil or have heat stroke in your house. So we watched that new movie on Netflix and the first thing I said to my mom was, "So Harry is in it but its cool because now we can see where Ivana from Republic of Me lives" 😊😂 It was a cute movie. ❤
Hi from California! Thank you so much for sharing your Tom Jones concert, love him! Your walk about town and putting on that wool sweater in the heat of the summer! It’s beautiful as well as your shawl. Blessings
What a Nice podcast Ivana ! I have a lot to share ! IT is so important to take the opportunities that life throws AT us. We Never know what the futur Will bring. I had a dream of living in Egypt, because I'm obsess with it's history. So I did study egyptology , went to live in Paris, met my husband Who was an egyptologist and we Lived on Egypt, a fantastic ( AT Times very challenging ) life. Then, I got MS and my hubby died AT 44 years old. I came back to Canada. I don't have regret, I had the life I wanted. I always Tell Everyone to go and chase their dreams ! Don't Wait. I clearly understand the wave of hot air !!!! Even in the house , IT was sometimes so hot ! The AC wasn't able to cool down huge open Room. I remember saying AT the END of october, OMG it's only 39 degrees today 😂😂😂 Now, in Québec we died if it's 39 !!!! And I Do like this Side of you with the numbers. Mine are 4 and 13. Thanks for another very Nice podcast. It's really entertaining that you mix IT all together , vidéos of your life and knit. Take care !!!
Ivana who wouldn’t want to live with Harry on your beautiful island? 😜. Love a good smooshy film 🙏🏻😻. Swap the Uk for Cyprus, maybe at a cooler time of year. Us brits hopeless in the heat 😂xx
Love your channel. Your creativity and genuineness in your conversations with this community is a treasure. Tom Jones footage made me remember some good times. Thank you.
Hi Ivana, your scarves are beautiful, I really enjoy garter stitch, so therapeutic to knit. I’m just the same with numbers, particularly even ones so 4 and 8 are favourites. Mind mind is full now of all the combinations of yarn I could use to knit garter scarves. Thank you for another lovely video. 😊❤️
I like your scarves. They’re so useful either bunched up around your neck or opened up to full width and draped around your shoulders. 89 is 17 is 8. I get it. I get it. 😂 Thank you for such a nice visit.
Can relate. When seeing Neil Diamond. He interacted with the audience. It was very personal. It was like we were his friends. Okra is nice baked with olive oil drizzled over the top. Good for cholesterol. Ice-cream is my weakness.
I always enjoy your vlogs. I look forward to each one. I’m not fond of the slimy texture of okra either. It is a good addition to Dahls. The slimy stuff helps to thicken the sauce.
I just finished my first in and out raglan. The only adjustment I needed to make was increase a little more in the arms of the yoke😂 after it was done I realised it wasn’t really necessary but I wasn’t taking any chances with it not fitting my menopausal upper arms😂 I enjoyed the simplicity of your explanations. It’s a great recipe. I made it in a soft acrylic yarn simply because in South Africa, even though it’s winter it’s really warm during the day. I’ll probably try it in a silk/cotton blend next. Thank you for sharing it with us🌺
I always enjoy your podcast. I grew up in Oklahoma and my Grandfather grew okra every year. We would cut them into half inch slices and coat it with cornmeal and fry it in crisco shortening. It was so good and crispy. You can also pickle it whole.
You are so very brave to try your jumperand scarf in the heat !!! I do not hear the air conditionner at all so please don't turn it off for our sake. Have a good week !
Here in Central Texas we have a lot of okra as well. Our favorite is to slice it lengthwise in quarters and roast it with a little olive oil, salt and pepper. It's crispy like chips. Takes just a few minutes in the air fryer and doesn't heat up the house.
Another wonderfully inspiring episode:) I too am a fan of simple big cushy scarves vs most shawls, except crescent shapes. Wondering the lengths of both scarves? Thank you!
I could not sleep. Was so happy to see your video pop up! Thank you! I will start knitting garter scarfs! I have a cone of baby alpaca, and I think I will try that! Maybe I can make s allergy ones for Christmas! 👍❤️❤️❤️
Hello Ivana! Love the scarf that you knit. What is the length of this scarf ? I was looking for a simple projet and I found it while watching your videos. Have a good day and thank you for your your vidéo, so interesting…. ❤ Elise from Quebec

Hey, Ivana. Hope you're day is going well. I love your jumper! What size needles did you use for it? ❤
Hello Ivana! Love the scarf that you knit. What is the length of this scarf ? I was looking for a simple projet and I found it while watching your videos. Have a good day and thank you for your your vidéo, so interesting…. ❤ Elise from Quebec
the scarf is about 2m long ❤️
Smaller ones!
My number is 3
