warcry and i.e. blitz with their linked skill ate excellent 1 pointers to be honest. blitz is excellent mobility and throws enemies, and warcry can also be used to control, adding i.e. fear will set you back 2 - 5 points.
@@CyberBeep_kenshi Yeah, it’s down to personal choice and the way I’m playing THIS build. I avoided using a movement skill on medal augment because I don’t want to be running at enemies, so the same logic applies to Blitz even though 99% of the time on any Soldier build I would say use it. I talk about War Cry in the video - it’s yet another button to press and it really is not needed on this build. Cheers for the comment, it’s always good to see other opinions on this stuff 👊🙂
@@Arcadelife1 oh i agree:) i just love making mobs fly with blitz lol. on my reflect warder, warcry is a must to attract mobs, otherwise it takes hours 🤣 absolutely agree with keeping the buttons down. got a death knight now with 1 - 5. including health poition on 1, as i Always do in every game i play.
You could use Demolitionist for Blast Shield (10pts), 1pt Flashbang and Searing Light, 11pts Vindictive Flame for total speed and regen, 10pts Ulzuin's Wrath for knockdown and RTD, and then if you have anything left, Flame Touched for OA. You're absolutely correct that it wont add as much as other masteries, but it's still good. Similarly for Inquisitor. Word of Renewal line (all of it) is solid gold for any build at all and you could always throw the seal down if you get tired of living... I mean running away. Honestly though, 32pts bar, 1pt Deadly Aim and then max out the Word of Renewal line. Again, not as good as other options, but not worthless. EDIT: Oathkeeper you basically take in any build for the Guardians. With the Scion of Dreeg they shred poison and acid resistance and that's probably more useful than the rest of the skills combined. Great run down, and as you say, a lot of these options are fine, but just not really good for this build. 10/10
@@Paikis Yeah, I was trying to keep the mastery options simple (for new-ish players) without overcomplicating it by introducing more damage conversions to get the weirder mastery choices to work. I could probably get anything to work (as you could) but these build guides are for not for me 😜
That is what I expected. Already knew about Soldier, Oathkeeper, and Arkanist and, apparently, these are the most useful. Question: can vitality damage on other classes be used due to the vitality to acid conversion this build has?
@@arekwisniewski6933 Thanks for asking this, it’s an item I should definitely be mentioning/showing because it’s very easy to get and has those nice stats you mention 👊🙂
In case you decided to finish this build as a Sentinel - Oathkeeper is arguably the best support class to compliment this build - dual Poison RR, exclusive which grants cooldown reduction, adda lots of health and nice stats like OA and flat absorb with a nice circuit breaker on top
Regarding the oathkeepee summon gardian skill. If you convert the damage to acid with the passive, i am pretty sure the resistance reduction also changes to acid resist reduction. Would that make it more worthwhile?
@@JellySage I am pretty sure if it doesn’t explicitly specify a change to the resistance reduction then it isn’t happening. The guardians would still be useful as they could have one of the devotions that reduce resistance attached to them. Loads of options, plenty I didn’t even mention because I tried to keep it as simple as possible or we’d have a six-hour video of impenetrable maths and ridiculous damage conversion theorycrafting. I love that stuff but these guides are for other people, not for me 😂
@Arcadelife1 Scion of Dreeg does not mention it but if you select "it Celestial prcesence" does actually change to say poison & acid resist reduction. Does that apply only to the 6 will Evil eye benefit from that? Also love this series, probably my favourite character to play in grimdawn.
@@JellySage Ok I checked because I wasn’t sure about this and I can confirm you are correct about the resistance reductions changing on Guardian/Celestial Presence when Scion of Dreeg is used. I reckon this is the only instance in the game where this happens which is why I wasn’t sure about it without checking. The change to the RR only affects the Guardians, it won’t change any other damage or resistance reductions anywhere else in your skills, gear or devotions. Thanks for the support, good to hear you’re enjoying this build.
@@CuriousBoyGeorge For this character, not at all. For others, the choice can be helpful early on or if you only have the base game with no expansions - due to the lower level cap of the base-game faction gear items. Otherwise you are going to be able to get better gear elsewhere anyway. I suppose if you are aiming to kill every Nemesis boss (eventually) you will have a reason to choose one of these to be the enemy faction but in this case that’s the only reason for choosing to side with the other one 👊😜

In terms of gearing does it really matter which faction you choose in Homestead? Kymon's Chosen or the other ones?
