I had the honor of playing golf with Rod one time. It was wonderful to hear the voice of the tigers say, "What a shot! Right down the middle.", when I hit a good drive. It was like he was broadcasting just for me that day. I'll forever miss his voice.
Jim and now Rod. SO sad. Both were 2 of the best of all time. After Jim died took me a while to get used to Rod. Now that Rods gone itll take me a while for Andy. RIP ROd WDE
I was thinking how hard a job Rod faced when he took over for Jim in 2003. But Rod excelled and won over the hearts of the Auburn family, and has left behind his on legacy as the voice of the Auburn Tigers.
I knew Andy in the late 80's early 90's when we were both new out-of-state arrivals to the loveliest village on the plains. Auburn was and will always be a special place because it is filled with genuinely kind and caring people - It lost two of them this year.
If they were to give Rod a statue, they would also need to build one for Jim Fyffe. Jim was the equally legendary voice of the Auburn Tigers prior to his unexpected passing in May 2003.
So...So sad! Today is for the Bramletts! Good luck!
You got beat loser so shut up
