I worked with Paula at AU OIT and we talked many times on the elevator up to our floors. She was a quiet polite person and Rod was a nice guy to me every time I met him. Their deaths had a deep impact on all that knew them and the Auburn Family.
As time marches on, and we embark on another sports season and school year. We remember one of the greatest voices in college sports. The body no longer exists, but the spirit endures forever. His spirit still flies like War Eagle does. We have a new voice, Mr. Andy Birchum. Not to replace Mr. Bramlett; but, to continue the Auburn radio/sports legacy. Mr. Andy Birchum has kept the show going and is doing an excellent job. As we start a new year let's remember Mr. Jim Fyfe and Mr. Rod Bramlett; while, we continue to enjoy Mr. Andy Burcham. GOD BLESS and War Eagle.
Being there in person was different. The feelings of joy from all the great memories Rod brought to the Auburn family and sadness he couldn’t bring us any more all combined. We ended up winning that game against Tulane 24-6 and it was one of the 9 victories we would get that year including the iron bowl that Andy Burcham called so well. I can’t help but think there was some help from above with that kick. War Damn Eagle!
I’m a freshman and was at this game. I wasn’t an auburn fan before this, being an out of state student. However, this tribute was enough to make me cry. I don’t even cry at personal stuff. It was so touching and a great tribute.
I became an Auburn fan in 2016 when I was an ROTC instructor and Army recruiter. Got to meet him one day and made me feel proud to have joined the Auburn family. I miss you Rod! 😢
Thousands of sports calls and miracles and joe buck has many of those but this call by Rob Bramlet is hands down the greatest of all time. Go to any casual NCAA football fan and say these words "Auburn's gonna win the football game" and I guarantee you they will know exactly what you are talking about
God damn I miss you Rod. It was because of you I fell in love with Auburn. As an active duty soldier who got stationed in Auburn and a recruiter and ROTC instructor. You represented everything that is Auburn 😢 it was a pleasure to have met you. War Damn Eagle!!!
War Eagle Rod, your voice will forever echo from Jordan Hare along with Jim Fyffe ... Andy Birchum, call it like you see it and call it like Jim and Rod did.... War Eagle!
A 16 year old boy was high on marijuana and was driving 90 mph and slammed into the back of their vehicle that was stopped at a red light... The kid walked away and Rod and Paula were killed in the crash...
"There not gonna keep em off the field tonight" is as deep a memory as the words of my father.
All these years later, this tribute still brings tears to my eyes. Rod, you will always be in the heart of the auburn family. War eagle.
For whatever reason I haven't seen this before. I was sobbing before a word was spoken. Thank you. WDE
This was my last first game as a senior at auburn. I balled my eyes out when they played this.
Still stings...Thank you Mr. Bramblett. ❤❤❤❤

I still miss his voice during games so much. They were such great stewards of Auburn University and the Auburn spirit.

Also didn’t catch this now but the shot at 3:33 is my fraternity and I’m in the top right corner of the screen
