U know, as I’m reading all of these comments, as an auburn fan myself, I can’t believe all the college football fans from everywhere from Michigan to even Alabama have prayers for these guys. I honestly never knew how much he actually meant to people from College Campuses all over the nation. Thank you guys, we shall all dedicate this 2019-2020 season to the Brambletts and their friends.

Steven Ledbetter i used to be in the radio business. Sports radio in Tuscaloosa. And one of our frequent guests was Jim Fyffe. I wouldn’t say we were fast friends but were certainly friendly. When he passed I wondered who could take over and be as loved as Jim was. Rod definitely inherited that mantle. And you’re so right, whoever inherits the mic from Eli (and it’s probably going to be Chris Stewart) will have big shoes to fill.
I root for both Bama and Auburn, but I’m all for Bama when it comes to The Iron Bowl. But the :01 finale, and CBS airing Rod’s voice calling, maybe, the greatest call in Iron Bowl history will be something that I will never forget. Not only that, CBS had the other miracle game when Auburn beat Georgia, and may I remain everyone it was in the same season as the :01 Iron Bowl game, Rod’s call was amazing. R.I.P. We all ask, why on earth was this wonderful Auburn man and his Auburn wife taken out in this cruel fashion at their young age? There is no answer for us really but it seems obvious to me now that it was meant to be. Auburn games will never be the same without Rod's voice. I am an Auburn grad/fan living in East Tennessee where I only read about Auburn spirit and used to mute TV broadcasts to listen to Rod's voice calling each game.
