I can't say this enough: Josef, you are one of the best teachers EVER. You teach like I think, about piano. And you're right about everything. Such simple things.... that make a huge difference. You must love a lot of "pretty piano" styles/songs that have a lot of heart/mood/atmosphere. It shows in every one of your lessons. Also, I have included several of your videos on my site, chriscaulder dotnet, in the "free music lessons" section. Just love all your stuff.

Hey Chris. That means a lot... seriously. Thanks for the kind words. Yes I think simple things can make a huge difference and if we can direct those simple things to generate more fun and creativity... well, its all good. I do like the 'pretty stuff', its not all I like and do though, i simply find it the most accessible and most appealing type of music for people to access my way of thinking on the piano. Nice site Chris and thanks for featuring some of my vids. I hope it helps your audience.

    Hello Josef.
I'm a 38 year old father that bought a keyboard for my 2 daughters about 3 weeks ago. Thought that maby they would liked it and, you know, music is good for us all. The funny thing is I'm the one spending time at the keyboard every day. =) I just wanted to let you know that I really find your videos helpful and you're charismatic and fun to watch, so tank you. I hope I'll be stuck at the keyboard for a long time ahead=) Blessings from Sweden

Good stuff man. Its never too late, keep it up... thats the hard part. Just don't get overwhelmed by the millions of things out there. Focus on a few core skills that relate to why you wanted to play piano in the first place!

It also helps to have multiple voices/instruments available on your keyboard, even if it's like 3 different grand pianos. Just switching between them from time to time (or maybe to a slap-bass or an occasional accordion) can make the routine exercises a lot more enjoyable.

Very helpful. It's so important to feed creative approaches to building skill. Just the ability to improvise I'm finding more enjoying than actually trying to learn a song. You are making learning fun and rewarding. You are giving those of us learning far more than others. I like how you push us along a little. Message to others...don't quit here...trust me, this teacher delivers.

Amazing video! Even if u r not a beginner this might be helpful! Enjoying piano exercises in a creative way!
Adds even more flavor to it and fun if u add dynamics and contrast.
You will get so much more out of the exercises and save a lot of time and get faster to being good.
And being good means it will be fun to play right? Once its fun you can inspire people and create something your own which everyone will enjoy.
So thank you for this video :)
