- Here's a quick and super effective 4-minute finger speed piano practice routine. This is great if you are a beginner or even have a bit of experience. Increasing finger speed not only means playing faster, but more accurately and increases playing confidence. Give it a go!

Tips to get the most from this routine...
1. Do not worry about keeping up with me. Go at your speed.
2. Adjust the work and rest period however you want to make it longer, shorter, more intense or less intense.
3. Choose one hand only if its too difficult and work towards using both hands together
4.The interval timer app I used in the video is called 'Bit Timer'

I just wanna let you know, I really appreciate what you do here, I always wanted to play piano, but never got into it because it was so intimidating, but when I watched some of you’re videos, you made it seem so interesting and doable and now I’m addicted to playing, so thanks
Thank you for this simple but very effective practice routine. I could feel the burn and realize that I need to build up my flexibility and muscles.
Good stuff, thanks! I’ll definitely add these exercises into my workout rotation. Probably good to really wear these out on leg day. 😂
Haha. Excellent!
Loving these vids! Just learning piano, and these kind of exercises are great to work on, on the fly, without an app. I'm constantly waiting on my kid/fam to get out the door, so any sort of mobility/technique training is ideal for those perpetual moments. New subscriber!
This really helped me a lot. Please send more teaching. Thank you so much. You are a good teacher.
That last exercise got me good

I was very pleased that I was nearly keeping up - but at 0.25 speed. Then I had to keep going 4x longer!

Whow , Iam 68 always wanted to play the piano, and boogie woogie , Iam pretty sure this guy would do the impossible, and teach me how play, , big 👍👍, from me.😎
Thank you soooo much for this lesson! I am trying to learn piano and this by far has been the best beginner lesson on UA-cam.

I love how youtube has added transcripts to videos. It's amazing!
Yeah me too. Glad you liked it Charmian.
Iam from India 🇮🇳,seeing your videos, got some confidence that I can become a descent pianist.
At 71 this one challenged me somewhat, the last one was thee most fun. Will need quite a bit of practice before we get up to speed. Yet Will do it.
i would really like to have more playalong video like this! Also longer like 10 mins practice.
Thank you creative
Helpful
Glad you think so Derrin. Hope it helps
Fantastic 👍
Awesome!
Tnx for your idea! I used to fo Hanon exercises. I’ve taken up modern piano instead of classical music. For a change!
Excellent. Hanon can be really good. Try swapping out some of my exercises and putting in a hanon or two for variety. These routines are really endless.
Great🤩
Glad you like it Maria
I’m glad I came across your channel :-) you’re a great educator and creator. The only thing I would like to add because I have Dupuytren’s contracture in my right hand. I have to start off slow then fast slow again or things well fall apart
Blimey, I can't do it! Wok required, clearly!!!
helpful! I can't keep a consistent speed - but I think with some practise I could get there.
Absolutely you can. Try doing this every day for 7 days and seeing where you are.
I think my wiring is faulty or perhaps my AI has a programming bug... I'll do my best to work on the coordination. Thanks for the workout...!
Great. Check the video info box for tips to make this easier and how to get the best out of it.
Hello classic Impreza fan!
Hi Josef, FYI the exercise 2 printout does not match the playing you do, Thanks for all the lessons you do. Slowly starting to sound better!
I have a big problem when I try to to go faster!! my fingers are to big and fat and I hit two keys at a time consistently. I can't seem to hit the middle of the key no matter how hard I try or how slow I go I still hit two keys at a time some times. I will not give up yet but it is hard to keep going when I am not very successful at getting done right and not feeling good my progress in playing the piano. I did your five day boogie class sort of okay and I am still working on it.
I really need to have you repeat each exercise at a slower pace to get the right notes to practice.
What about Teaching individual Finger Stretch Warm Up Excercises.?
how to play sounds close to quarter sounds, find close to coma sound please
What interval timer do you use?
Should we use this with other chords that incorporate black keys like A or D?
where is the sheet music for this
I would like to learn how to play the piano but I only have a 66 keyboard, that is very simple and I have no pedal. Is that possible?
How do I get the free lessons to download?
I will never reach this ridiculous speed 😄😄
You will. but its about developing speed so do the exercises but go at your speed. So long as you push the edges each time you do it, you will notice speed gains.
It was torture for my 72 yo arthritic fingers. LOL
I'll work on it best I can without causing too much inflammation.
Check the info box for some of my notes on adjusting the routine to suit you. Hopefully it can help make it more maneagable.
I'm with you 😂😂
@@Creativepianoacademy Where's the "info box"? I don't see anything

I wished Josef taught me when I started. My tutor was a nasty lady who would slam the piano lid on my fingers if I hadn't practised.
easy on a keyboard but hard on a piano
The arpeggio is kicking my ass, help!
It is not my right hand but rather the left..very jerky as if it is popping.
My hand verry pain 😂
That was terrible I couldn’t do the last one at all and I got discouraged because he was going to fast😢
Love it!
Thanks!!
