true.ive seen some interviews with him and he is a very humble kid and i can tell its not the type of humble thats just to please adults. he GENUINELY seems like a good kid. so i really have high hopes for the kid cus he is actually good for a kid.
@chicangeorge Fred the Godson. To stay relevant or just who you like? I need some context. Do you think Mac Miller has staying power? And do you think he deserves a spot on this list?
@IkeTurnersghost Yeah. Feefo nailed it with that and I think it's one of them most powerful moments in the show. Totally on board with the Bubba Sparxx comparison. I can see that.
@mykectown yea, he is more of a really big "regional" artist-basically the same thing u guys were saying about big krit. He's a punchline artist 4 sure, so i don't know how well a actual album will do, but he got bars for days-when he actually drops i think he'll shine more
this is actaully a solid list of up and comers, Meek Mill has been puttin in some serious verses, Kendrick and Yelawolf are lyrical beasts. Solid list from XXL
@chicangeorge Yeah, man, I guess. I'm definitely no know-it-all so I'll never say that me never hearing of him means anything...but none of us had heard of him. And I asked a few other and they'd never heard of him either. But yeah, maybe he's one of those dudes that kinda slipped through the cracks. But I still doubt we'll see his face in a year or two.
@MakeMoney080910 I totally agree with this statement. This won't have anything to do with skill level and my evaluation and top three isn't on skill level and ability. It's also mainstream appeal and positioning.
Mac Miller represents feel good music, among other things. He is who he is, sure that might be goofy, but there isn't a gimmick to him. There aren't that many lanes for white rappers right now. Rostrum is doing what they need to do to make sure he lasts, he's projected to do 100 k in the first week, recording breaking sales for an independent artist. You guys should do a Blue Slide Park Review, if you didn't have that in mind already.
B.I.G. KRIT is gonna step out of the south very soon. he is a whole package. Yelawolf has a "unique" sound & will grow tired to people who dont feel him. Diggy is nice period. Mac Miller is silly, but can spit-so i hope he grows up. fred da godson is nice. My top 3 would be (in no order) B.I.G. KRIT, diggy, fred
@amor49er1 He's good for his age. He still has a lot of room for improvement. But seeing how he's born rich, really doesn't have a lot troubles he can't relate to the average person, but I feel he has the ability to become lyrical enough to make something work. He has potential, but it's going to be hard for him to find his content. So he's basically an blank book at this point. I think he should stay underground to find himself cause his label is going to "pop" him out.
Lil B will have the biggest impact in Hip Hop than anyone on that list whether he will make better music than any of those artist his based on personal taste.
@chicangeorge Mac Miller has a fan base. I think that's it. To me, he will need that right hit. Very similar to Wiz to take him to the next level whereas the others can naturally progress to stardom a little easier.
@Kingemedia Fred is gonna be around for a while. He is relevant and shows lyrical skills and a grinding mentality. he's worked with some of the best in the game and I think he'll be around for a while. I like him. You should check out some of his earlier work. Mac Miller has staying power, but not enough to be a household name. He has to mature from the weed tracks. TO ME, he's WAY BETTER THAN WIZ. Yes, he deserves a spot on the list and is ranked maybe 5th or 6th on my list
but im trynna figure out.....how the hell did diggy get so good out of no where....not even 5 years ago when they had the tv show he did not rap at all....natural talent?
@chicangeorge Fred The Godson will be forgotten about like @mykectown said in about two years. I see what you're saying but he doesn't have enough of a name to stay. Here's why. In a short time span, Jon Connor, Reek Da Villian, and Maffew Ragazino have essentially stolen that light from him. Without the XXL spot, we wouldn't even have this discussion. He needs to put out more work and remain in the spotlight. If not, ghost.
The was fun to watch albeit a little depressing. Big K.R.I.T IS still great, but they don't give a s*** anymore. K Dot's status only grew. What NONE of them could have predicted is that Lil B would be the source code for nearly every "hot" "modern" hip hop artist to date. ☺.
@chicagomycity I'm white and live outside of New York but I know exactly what you mean man, most of the kids I know regardless of race feel like that about Mac Miller.
Kinge is right about lil b tho.i personally dont care for his music, but his controversy and message and buzz will bring him 2 mainstrem. Plus he collabd with wayne, so ppl r gunna eat him up and b like "o yea wayne likes lil b so i gotta like him 2" then buy his shit
His fan base is a joke. I've recognized Lil B's work ethic since the first time I discovered him. Artists fuck with him because he's a cool dude, just like people fuck with Trinidad James & 2 Chainz. There are many great artists on the rise like Joey Badass, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Earl Sweatshirt, Logic, & many more that are better then Lil B.
Kendrick Lamar is the best out right now. I've literally heard him do every good thing a rapper could do, ive heard some mainstream songs he jumped on and he made that shit sound dope! Cyhi got bars, yela got bares but cant listen to too much of him. Mac Miller, bit corny for me but hes cool. Startin to like KRIT a lot more. Lastly, Lil B........ really?
@a8fine1youngSchapT I feel the same way about Mac, but its just hard to say that with sounding slightly bogus honestly, he can rap well in the technical sense. But he is so "corny" and its the "too white" culture. I know that sound ignorant as hell coming from a black person but its honestly how I feel. But hell If I was white from the burbs I would probably be feeling it because I could culturally connect with him. But as a black inner city kid I just can't quite grasp "his style" or subject.
Big K.R.I.T, Yelawolf and Mac Miller. I like Mac Miller I don't know why you guys didn't show him more love, seems to me that he can straight up spit. I would say Kendrick Lamar but the mixtapes that Mac has put out are a lot more solid to me than Kendrick's
has he said that? i dont think so people need to stop making excuses for his garbage. and even if he was doing it on purpose thats cool to do it on a song or two have the rest of ur music be good. which it hasnt bee
Watching this video in 2017 is a trip lol
I’m in 2020 lol
Try 2020
2021 😂
I remember these x10000 zooms lol, dope how far they've come

in terms of success id say kendrick/mac miller and meek mills (success wize)
Damn Beezy looks so young here lol
1. Kendrick Lamar, 2. Big K.r.i.t, 3. Cyhi DA prynce
They should have said Mac over Yelawolf, but still pretty damn accurate with everything else
he also has and incredible fanbase, good work ethic, a lot of artist support, and hes on the rise
true.ive seen some interviews with him and he is a very humble kid and i can tell its not the type of humble thats just to please adults. he GENUINELY seems like a good kid. so i really have high hopes for the kid cus he is actually good for a kid.
right back atcha....lets mark this as another win for Task Force
Man I saw Fred the Godson live and he changed my mind about he. he puts it down in concert and he is nice on that Freddie Gibbs EP
rip tho
@chicangeorge Fred the Godson. To stay relevant or just who you like? I need some context. Do you think Mac Miller has staying power? And do you think he deserves a spot on this list?
Cyhi just 'blew up' this year
ahhh yes how do i forget
@IkeTurnersghost Yeah. Feefo nailed it with that and I think it's one of them most powerful moments in the show. Totally on board with the Bubba Sparxx comparison. I can see that.
i could roll with krit from yall choices but im surprised D1 and Big Sean didnt make the list
myke-fred gotta buzz! he been doing it for a while in NYC. I heard of dude 2 years ago and wondered why he wasnt on XXL yet
Krit more lyrical than Cyhi ? Lol I don't know about that ....Cyhi got way better bars lol
Jay electronica is from the south and he spits lyrical mad. I think him, and lamar could make mainstream lyrical.
Lil b, Kendrick Lamar, Big Krit
@13:08 Ken screamed through the TV man lollllll
@mykectown yea, he is more of a really big "regional" artist-basically the same thing u guys were saying about big krit. He's a punchline artist 4 sure, so i don't know how well a actual album will do, but he got bars for days-when he actually drops i think he'll shine more
Is Diggy good or just ok.
this is actaully a solid list of up and comers, Meek Mill has been puttin in some serious verses, Kendrick and Yelawolf are lyrical beasts. Solid list from XXL
this was a slept on year mac miller kendrick krit ect
I also find it funny how they didnt even bother to put in the other two freshmen that made the list Meek Mill & Lil Twist lol
DEHH MOMENT @11:59 "YOUR CRAZY KEN!" LOL
@chicangeorge Yeah, man, I guess. I'm definitely no know-it-all so I'll never say that me never hearing of him means anything...but none of us had heard of him. And I asked a few other and they'd never heard of him either. But yeah, maybe he's one of those dudes that kinda slipped through the cracks. But I still doubt we'll see his face in a year or two.
Ironic how they talkin about big krit and kinge is in his hometown.... Meridian, Ms
I wish cyhi would step his game up. I want to be a big fan but i'm not quite there yet.
@MakeMoney080910 I totally agree with this statement. This won't have anything to do with skill level and my evaluation and top three isn't on skill level and ability. It's also mainstream appeal and positioning.

its wierd because they didnt include liltwist and yg lol
@neATL That's what's up. Appreciate it!

@amor49er1 He's good for his age. He still has a lot of room for improvement. But seeing how he's born rich, really doesn't have a lot troubles he can't relate to the average person, but I feel he has the ability to become lyrical enough to make something work. @aymanabedin Meek Mill is nice and I slept on him a little bit. I am definitely checking for his work more.
hmmm id say...Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, and Dylan CAUSE HE SPITS HOT FIRE
Lil B will have the biggest impact in Hip Hop than anyone on that list whether he will make better music than any of those artist his based on personal taste.
@chicangeorge Mac Miller has a fan base. I think that's it. To me, he will need that right hit. Very similar to Wiz to take him to the next level whereas the others can naturally progress to stardom a little easier.
@123jakedobbins We are breaking down XXL's list so he would not have made the discussion.
@Kingemedia Fred is gonna be around for a while. He is relevant and shows lyrical skills and a grinding mentality. he's worked with some of the best in the game and I think he'll be around for a while. I like him. @chicangeorge Fred The Godson will be forgotten about like @mykectown said in about two years. I see what you're saying but he doesn't have enough of a name to stay. Here's why. The was fun to watch albeit a little depressing. Big K.R.I.T IS still great, but they don't give a s*** anymore. K Dot's status only grew. What NONE of them could have predicted is that Lil B would be the source code for nearly every "hot" "modern" hip hop artist to date. ☺.

K.R.I.T. is the southern Pac...just not as thuggish. He raps about real issues, and not just poppin bottles and shit.
K-Rino is def the most lyrical Southern MC
@jayhawk2424 Huh no
LIl B, Basedgod, and Brandon Mccartney
Kendrick Lamar is the best out right now. I've literally heard him do every good thing a rapper could do, ive heard some mainstream songs he jumped on and he made that shit sound dope! Cyhi got bars, yela got bares but cant listen to too much of him. Mac Miller, bit corny for me but hes cool. Startin to like KRIT a lot more. Lastly, Lil B........ really?

@a8fine1youngSchapT I feel the same way about Mac, but its just hard to say that with sounding slightly bogus honestly, he can rap well in the technical sense. Wtf.. Mac miller, Diggy, Meek Mill when it comes to be who will be the biggest on a main stream level
Big K.R.I.T, Yelawolf and Mac Miller. I like Mac Miller I don't know why you guys didn't show him more love, seems to me that he can straight up spit. I would say Kendrick Lamar but the mixtapes that Mac has put out are a lot more solid to me than Kendrick's
sorry if that sounded mean . i am not being sarcastic
has he said that? i dont think so people need to stop making excuses for his garbage. and even if he was doing it on purpose thats cool to do it on a song or two have the rest of ur music be good. which it hasnt bee
