Say what you say about the pacing issues of the game and story, the gameplay was absolutely phenomenal.
No it wasn’t, it’s busted, below average, and lazily designed. I’ll give you one tidbit of information about it here. It’s so lazy that enemies don’t have to aim at you to hit you, and the enemies are tracking you through walls in combat state. So it’s binary. I can think of a franchise that has offered better options, AI states and decisions since 2012.

This version of Ellie is so badass.
The entire resort felt very tomb raider in a good way. Blood soaked Ellie’s face made her resemble Lara Croft
It took me so long to realize you need to hold down square to perform an air takedown.
You sure about holding it down? I just kept tapping while I jumped on an engine maybe holding it is more efficient.

I love how when you get a neck shot they grab their neck and try to stop the blood lose as they gurgle and bleed out. That's every time no matter the enemy. I can't count the hands I've shot off. This game is bananas.

I honestly LOVE this game. It may not be for everyone and i get that but playing this game with no HUD, no cross hair, nothing to hold your hand and just taking my time with everything, listening to all the conversations, taking in the graphics, environments and the insane attention to detail has given me such an immersive and visceral experience on a level that quite frankly i dont think many other games have done. I do not regret getting this game what so ever.

Dion Tha Creator I personally like having everything on survivor; especially the resources. It makes you be more creative during encounters. For example: during my playthrough as Abby I would shoot the legs of infected, knocking them down, allowing me to get a deadly strike on them. And if you have her perk where she gets another deadly strike for a limited amount of time, you take down two enemies from just using one bullet.
Ellie's all grown up now! OMG watching you play really showcases how great the game play is. I love your use of strategy. That jump off the second floor to stab that dude was EPIC.
Ellie was definitely more fun to play as than Abby regardless of the personality differences.

Funnily enough I liked playing Abby way more. Her pipe bombs were so much more satisfying to me than the stun bombs or trip mines and the marksman pistol one shots to the body. Plus a FLAMETHROWER.
liloreo 28 the hunting rifle was definitely a plus for Abby. But the stealth aspect from Ellie outranks!
Abby was great as she used brute strength and momentum. I would love for there to be an option where you can swap Abby and Ellie timelines and tackle those levels with each character. Might be cool.

This game is one of the best I've ever played in my life.. The story was amazing and it really touched me, I don't know why "fans" hated the story! Because Joel was killed or because Ellie was lesbian or maybe because they didn't get the happy ending they were hoping for? This is a post apocalyptic world filled with sorrow and death and those characters are not perfect. The gameplay is so realistic especially the firearms combat. I'm not here to judge anyone's opinion but at least give some respect to naughty dog for delivering us this masterpiece
I agree with the gameplay. I cant wait to go back and play it again on my second run and i havent done second run in any game for this generation except diablo 3 because of the other character leveling. The story was good but there was some plot holes and stories that didnt make sense like abby killing joel with a golf. I mean she was not even a bad person and she is a soldier so she should have killed joel in a soldier way not a tyrant. Yes nd perfected this game and kudos to nd but they should let the political bullshit aside. I ve never killed so many women in a game before tlou2 lol
@@MrHellrider9 Abbys dad was killed brutally by Joel with the rest of the hospital crew, basically it was a massacre in order to save Ellie who was supposed to be the cure for mankind. Abby believed that killing Ellie was for a noble cause, that's why she told her dad to do the same to her if she was in Ellie place. I think she was filled with hate for the man who killed her father who had done nothing wrong (in Abbys eyes) but instead, he was trying to save humanity.

Ellie can somehow kill countless armed and trained soldiers without having any Martial arts training. Without having any professional military combat training. How? Even when Ellie was 14 years old, she killed a bunch of armed adults by herself. Ellie has been able to fight like Rambo ever since the first "Last Of Us" yet there was never any sensible explanation for it. Basically a bunch of phony bullshit because the game was meant to have "girl power" undertones. Great graphics, great gameplay but phony and overpowered, main characters.

Likely some sort of aim assist. The aiming in this game with linear sway patterns, stance pattern size, and a random reset point means that this games aiming system is busted.

Personally I don’t see why everyone is mad??? There were like several articles stating that this game takes place after Joel’s death. Abby’s character to be quite frank isn’t that bad, I actually like her. Not to mention, she spared Ellie her life twice after she could have killed her. Yes, Joel is the soul to this game but I don’t think it should get the hate that it deserves. Yes the story could have been told a different way but it’s actually not that bad.

Ali Hassan there’s only 2 In the whole game which I can recollect. The train scene when everything is all red and the last level where the clickers are chained to floor and you can release them.
Seymore Butts - a section of Seattle (a garage?) has infected and humans you can lead them to each other. But yeah, there needed to be more opportunities to set the infected against humans.

@@incelvillain1253 actually ellie has been training even before she met Joel, when she was a kid she was at a camp that had her do military drills and combat practice, and then she had the "combat" experience with Joel. And at Jackson they had her train to go out on patrols, so it isnt completely impossible that she knows how to fight. Not EVERYTHING is a power move for girls lol,but Abby was a power move most definitely

Ellie did not have combat training through Joel. Standing back and watching someone do all of the work, isn't actual training. Look at videos of actual military combat training and then compare it to just standing behind someone while they protect you. Abby's ability(even though she was still overpowered) makes more sense than Ellie. She was very well trained and she was clearly physically fit.

like the details, bullets hitting metal, lighter flick sound, gurgling from stabs, explosive damage to bodies, they really focused on the right details.

Sorry if it bothers you...length of the game wasn't bad. I've never heard so many people complaining about that. We aren't too far removed from a time where AAA were only 4 hours long...case in point RE3... I'll never be upset with a agame being long...this game is in a deep depression world. No happy endings here...
I know that game, I love it, and I finished 2 times even in survivor +, and I can say than your are NOT in survivor mode. It's just impossible to drop directly full stuff like alcool, tape, or chisel on the the map, axe with full uses, or 10 bullets for the silent auto rifle. . . Your gameplay is good, but your title is a lie...
it's custom mode with higher item drops on survivor or surv +... I might be mistaken though

I thought I was the only one thinking that. Doing this with the resources giving at survivor or survivor + no damage would’ve been impressive. Been with you got everything then all fights you can do easy. Also even if you throw a smoke screen others outside of it will one shot you
In the description he says every setting is on Survivor difficulty except for resources which is on the easiest... I mean he's accurate enough that the bullets don't matter but being able to throw infinite explosives and use so many explosive arrows is still kinda cheap
God this game is so amazing. And this is definitely peak performance well done!
watching these videos makes me regret my very little use of explosives when I played the game. Will definitely replay keeping these strategies in mind

This is not survivor. All of the short melee weapons are at full strength. The game is spawning 3 rifle rounds, 3 handgun rounds and 10 mp5 rounds. Also Survivor AI is not this incompetent, you would have been caught and shot so many times. You ain't got to lie, Craig. Just be better.
He says in the description (whether it's true or not is another question)that the resources are set to very light, the enemies are set to survivor-resources are not. Be better.

Okay I played this game through fairly well, thought I did a good job at finding all the neat little things you could do, but that thing you did at 2:35 with the jumping stab? No fucking clue you could do that. As much as I have my problems with the story, its progression, its presentation, etc., the gameplay is SO full of amazing little touches like that. Hell yes.
