Your "beef" should be settled according to your practice, You beef with a rapper you settle it on tracks. If You beef with a basketball player (KG and Melo) settle that on the court.
Hip hop has changed so much, years back there were only a couple of "Hot" rappers...today there are plenty of rappers buzzing both mainstream and underground. Another thing, they work together alot more ...doing shows, showing one another love, Competition is pretty much non-existent since the number of rappers "eating" has increased
I really appreciate all our your guys' videos. It is very rare that I find someone with the same musical taste as myself, since I'm a white kid from Denmark and all of my friends would rather listen to Soulja Boy, than to A Tribe Called Quest, Nas or even J. Cole, and its even more rare to find interesting, intelligent debates about that genre of music that I love with a passion, keep up this amazingly great work.
i agree hundred percent it used to be about going to another rapper studio turning off the lights and whoopin ass now its just a whole bunch internet beef.
Hey guys. I just found your videos and I just wanted to say it's refreshing to hear fans of hip hop debating on the game. I feel that twitter is ruining hip hop. We could have heard great diss tracks without twitter. I feel Joe Budden is one of the illest battle rappers in the game. He used his blog to discuss the ranking issue in vibe. He stated why he felt the ranking was garbage and basically said he would like to prove that he could take on anyone. The results of that beef because it was no
Basically we get to see that circle and how it operates because of Twitter. There is no telling how many artists have had words or problems that never made it to a song before Twitter was invented.
Beef is a big part of hip-hop, imagine if real Real Muthaphuckkin G's, No Vasline, Ether, Hit Em' Up and Takeover never existed and it where just internet arguing instead. Anyone can bitch on twiter. A beef should be won by skill and creativity in shape of a track. No doubt!
BIG described "beef" and what these rappers are doing is not it. I agree with C Town, rappers should keep it on wax. BUT just because you're a rapper and have a problem with somebody doesn't mean you automatically need to make a song. Remember Twitter is a social media network and it brings us front row in the lives of the artists. They are humans just like us. They snap or have issues with people. The way they choose to handle might be a way we see as childish.
@glenn8612 Yeah, man, I totally agree with you. In situations where it's just a few words I'm cool. But when it's like weeks of shit talkin I just start to get annoyed. I like having the electronic access into artists' lives, but I just, sometimes, wish they didn't remind me of my 17 year old cousins.
I agree that Twitter is damaging Hip-Hop and turning the game sour. 140 characters isnt much time to say anything besides what you're doing. If Pac were alive, I know he wouldnt have dissed anyone on Twitter because he wouldve had far too much to say/
There's no more "beef" or diss tracks. because if you don't like something everyone else does you're a "hater".Popularity beats talent, you lose even if you win.
If you got beef put it on wax like the karate kid Cause I'm sicker than this Tired of you fake twitter thugs Ya'll bout as real as baby sitter hugs Hash tag, for real just give it up
@pearsecfc07 Know what though, Ken...I see this guy's point. If we're looking at it from a hip hop standpoint, Royce didn't respond. So, no matter how wack the Bis tracks were, he would win this "battle" by default. I think Em probably told him to let it go because he's on this new BS positive kick and doesn't wanna get involved in drama.
He wasn't emotionally invested, he wanted the money...I don't fault him for that. As Busta Rhymes said " He comes from an era where you know better than that. He knows that shit was illegal...". He most likely knew he would get negative views and comments aimed in his direction over that shit. If he would've took this battle as an investment in his skills, to show people he still got it...I guarantee it would've went WAY differently. Plus Bis is still rapping, so no...he didn't shut him down.
There are so many rappers i think that could stand to be dissed on a track and i mean hard. It's too much friendly in hip-hip. I see theses albums these days with so many damn features from the biggest names in rap i'm like is there any hostility? Rappers get to comfortable!Look at that lazy ass mixtape wayne just put out maybe if someone dissed em he'll get motivated to spit!
@pearsecfc07 Of course. Personally, I stopped following the beef after the first go round. I was surprised to hear Canibus was still at and then we found out it was fake.
@pearsecfc07 I wasn't really feeling any of the tracks that came out of that beef. It was all silly. The Budden track was OK. Bis' diss on Budden was OK. Nothing was earth shattering. I think Bis can do better. Not really sure what's up with him right now. But still looking forward to this next album.
i think its just that before, twitter (which is completely instant) wasnt around. The only way to respond was to drop a track. that was the only way. Now you can respond right away on twitter. Its so lameeee dont get me wrong but its just how it is. Theres no time between to even think about making a track. technology has made everything instant.
@pearsecfc07 Royce is a heavy tweeter. I think Royce is in a position now as to where he does not want to jeapordize anything with the Shady signing. So he took it light. And tweeted.
@pearsecfc07 Yeah, no matter if the Twitter was fake or real...those terrible tracks he released on Royce were real. But I still followed the Poetlaurette Twitter because that mess was straight comedy.
@canibus4321 This video's old, chief. At the time that we had this discussion it wasn't confirmed that it was a fake account. Especially considering the two tracks Canibus released saying, basically, the same shit Twitter account said. But at this point, it's irrelevant.
@inthecards21 What's beef? Beef is when you hear mouse clicks in your sleep. Beef is when you can't wait to get this geek through a tweet. Beef is when I follow you. Guaranteed I'll @ mention you.
@mykectown it was some funny stuff flying lotus bought finally famous and tweeted about why he bothers even trying to enjoy hip hop anymore since the album was so bad then good music replied saying that flying lotus should perfect his own style while trying to argue against a bunch of other people complaining about how good music is ruining hip hop then a bunch of other things were said (subliminal jabs and stuff) basically good music got there ass handed to them by flying lotus lol
new q-tip next month & busta + primo? nice.
Hey man wassup

Kendrick got the idea for Control from this video
Im a teenager and i dont even acted like that, but i do agree hip hop needs to go back to diss tracks. Hate Twitter beef.
You guys speak the truth

"A Black Golden Girl" lmaoooooooooooooooooooooo
@Lightemup2k10 Thanks for watching and checking us out! I like Joe Budden. He's a perfect fit for Slaughterhouse.
No doubt!
I don't know why, but hearing Feefo saying "Come out with some shit!" in an Aeropostale shirt was mad funny to me...lol.

@mykectown Did you think the Joey cupcakes track was wack? i agree on the ones directed at Royce but the Budden diss was good imo
I agree that Twitter is damaging Hip-Hop and turning the game sour. 140 characters isnt much time to say anything besides what you're doing. If Pac were alive, I know he wouldnt have dissed anyone on Twitter because he wouldve had far too much to say/
thats why i like people like eminem....cus if he beefing with his chick he'll make a DISS track to HER. lmao....nobodies safe! haha
@hounds343 Hopsin just dissed Tyler too. Still waiting on that response. Thanks for watching.
There's no more "beef" or diss tracks. because if you don't like something everyone else does you're a "hater".Popularity beats talent, you lose even if you win.

Ya'll bout as real as baby sitter hugs
Hash tag, for real just give it up
@SoloDolo784 Man I agree. So the question is has the internet and social media networks ruined hip hop?
@misterfelder Man what's wrong w/ my shirt? LOL
@pearsecfc07 Know what though, Ken...I see this guy's point. If we're looking at it from a hip hop standpoint, Royce didn't respond. @TheSnoozeFox Damn, nope, missed that one. What was it about? Is it worth me looking up? I'm sure Big Sean had some stellar comebacks.
He wasn't emotionally invested, he wanted the money...I don't fault him for that. As Busta Rhymes said " He comes from an era where you know better than that. He knows that shit was illegal...". Canibus was the only person who made a track and Royce is the only one who tweeted
Bis wins
@misterfelder Haha

lol why is teach me how to dougie in the tag description?
"they was in the meat market"
funny stuff
@pearsecfc07 Of course. Personally, I stopped following the beef after the first go round. I was surprised to hear Canibus was still at and then we found out it was fake.
@theneedledrop Anthony Fantano! Fancy seeing you here.
Did you guys hear about Bink accusing Just Blaze of stealing his sound? I guess they wanna do a beat battle now.
Dizaster shut Canibus up.
"BLACK GOLDEN GIRL" WOW!!! LMAO THAT WAS FUNNY!!!
@mykectown Putting it that way, he would win by default. Good for Canibus!
Mysonne started a campaign against Lil B. He made a song and has a video.
@PM2126 and the Canibus voice
did anyone else see that beef between big sean (G.O.O.D. music) and flying lotus on twitter that shit was hilarious
i think its just that before, twitter (which is completely instant) wasnt around. The only way to respond was to drop a track. that was the only way. Now you can respond right away on twitter. Bitch Grow UP!! - Myke C-Town
