The stealing the laptop plot point is so stupid because I don’t think anyone is randomly looking at stores lost and found looking for something to steal. And it can easily be fixed by having them say that Mathias works at Starbucks and the laptop has been in lost and found for weeks and they were getting ready to throw it out or donate it, so Mathias just took it since the owner never came forward. You go as far to say that’s why he never wanted to give the laptop back, as the owner never came forward to retrieve it and he claims it’s his now. as for aj, he got swatted. they asked him to come out, presumably without opening the door. the shotgun sound was played, prompting the squad of officers to open fire.
I just watched the movie last night and it was alright. I’d give it a 6 or 7. Reading the comments, people don’t realize the the Mac Book 💻 was already hacked/monitored by “The Circle”. Once one of the Charons messaged the Mac Book on Facebook, that’s when one of the members knew the laptop was taken and decided to use to vet (ask questions) had to explain what exactly he/she wanted rather than keeping it in it was more of a vetting just to be sure. Remember an Érica message the guy about the stolen laptop. That was the hacker disguised as a girl to convince him to meet up but it too late
This was simply honestly the "Charons" had been watching the whole group including Matias and knew he'd be the perfect one to take the bait laptop to get their game night, they wanted to go after all of them, and they found the key was leaving that laptop around for a period of weeks thinking nobody was gonna claim it after a while, and knowing he hated his computer. So they basically have been watching him for quite a while and have been baiting him with the laptop.
20:12 The door was closed, and AJ was walking up to open it. When the armed officers heard the shotgun, they thought he was about to shoot, and so they had no choice but to open fire. For my best solution, he would just tell the cops to just bust down the door, and then he would get on the ground. I know this can be grounds for not cooperating with an officer, but he can prove it in court that he couldn't do it as he looked for all possible options that the hackers can do to make the officers kill him.
You stated that deleting the videos is ultimately the biggest thing that would have prevented this however that makes 0 sense. Clicking the videos didnt provide tracking information or personal data it was connecting to home wifi, skype, social media. Playing of the videos itself didnt do anything. Also The river.exe is most likely the thing that broke the camels back and broke the door wide open to everything on that computer. The river is most likely the reason they were able to take remote control, openeing that created a connection similar to team viewer.
Deleting data doesn’t remove it, it authorizes your system to write over it. A really talented individual can partially recover or fully recover it depending on if it’s been written on or not.

There is no way to beat this movie. It's a classic death game movie like saw or escape room. The people who planted the lap top have access to cameras all over the city and for all we know have someone in the cafe watching the lost and found. The second he took the lap top he was doomed, and no factory reset or memory erase would change that. Especially if they were running a simulator on the laptop. Whatever he does on the simulator wouldn't have mattered.
Don't you think they would have a far harder time tracking down Matthias and his friends if they formatted the laptop, dumped it off somewhere safe, and then left the city altogether in that case? Literally the only way they even got them into the death game to begin with is because of their careless revelation of personal information and every aspect of their daily life, all of which were tracked by Dark Web rootkits, Wi-Fi and camera hijackers, keyloggers, screensharing, etc, and if they refrained from opening any of the incriminating documents, ignored the Charons on Facebook, or even better, wiped out the entire computer, then they would be far safer and more likely to survive the ordeal, especially if they left the city with haste.
I just finished watching the movie just to watch this video and understand everything that what's happening (and remember better that who is who). I really liked this one! the first unfriended movie wasn't good. I really didn't like the characters - they were so unlikeable and turned out to be assholes that bullied the victim, who was now...cyber-hunting them. I was actually ok that it was supernatural, but this movie was so much scarier, because it's more realistic and something that could happen in real life and definitely is happening (not saying that literally this movie is happening, but sick people stalking innocent people, etc). and the first thing I noticed was that the characters were likeable. this was actually super interesting movie and I just kept thinking that what on earth I would do, if someone was about to kill me or knowing that someone could take me and...eat my kidneys on live or some shit like that.
This movie is really Terrifying bc you know that RIGHT NOW thousands of kids and woman are being kidnapped, trapped in barrels, forced to eat dog food, r@ped, and killed in horrible ways.

They don't teleport. There every where. They thought Damon was safe because he was in London, that is supposed to show you that their all over the world. Not teleporting - they could've been living a few blocks away. Ugh.
I like how the Charons place a SWAT call and after 2 minutes they show up at AJ’s house saying they have a warrant, which would mean that in the span of 2 minutes they manage grab a warrant from the judge and go over to AJ’s house to raid him 😂
Tips for stealing 1. Don't take it where you live if it's a tech. 2. When stealing a phone or laptop hide it somewhere that's not your house for a few weeks. 3. First thing is to wipe the device. 4. When checking what's on the device don't do it at home. Go to a cafe, or in your car somewhere far. Depending on what you find on the device and who you stole it from. Number 2 is very important.

It just sickens me to know that they're just normal people with no cool feats of strength or speed heck they're not even on athlete level of power. Easily fixed the plot point with something more logical.
Or he confuses it for his own? That would also make sense
@@AdaTheWatcher He would know the moment he starts the laptop. Because I'm pretty sure his username is not ? and he doesn't randomly forget his password to the point of complete cluelessnes.
@@timerertim that is indeed true but it would have been a better idea for him to first grab it thinking it was his own, and then at home when he realizes it isn't his own trying to get into it out of curiosity
@@AdaTheWatcher Yeah, ok, but a normal person would then go to the police and mark the laptop as lost after he came in. At the very last one would install skype on said laptop and starts a call with his friends
The main characters made a lot of mistakes especially when he sent himself $10 million which was so stupid the dude even said don’t do it or we’re all dead
Last time I came this early... my girlfriend patted me on the shoulder and told me it's alright and it happens to a lot of guys
And how does she know it happens to a lot of guys
I was ready to ff ASAP before you said “this isn’t a Segway telling you to buy one”
2:20 LMAOO he nearly baited us
Thank you, for teaching me how to steal a MacBook without being caught!
ngl when you said VPN i immediately hit the button to skip ahead, the noticed you weren't talking about a sponsorship and went back xD
Was just watching your another video. Nice.
3:10 would be perfect for a Nord VPN sponsorship message
as for aj, he got swatted. they asked him to come out, presumably without opening the door. the shotgun sound was played, prompting the squad of officers to open fire.
“Don’t worry this isn’t a Segway into me telling you to buy one.”
Everyone liked that.
Segue
Request: How To Beat Inside (2007). It’s a French extremity (horror) film that would be very interesting to find out how to beat.
"do they think that they hacked the subway?" fucking amazing question 10/10
The entire movie could have been prevented if he just didn’t steal the laptop
the ending I saw in the movies was Matias was buried alive ; I didn't know there were different endings
Dude that was the perfect time to sponsor a VPN
"How to beat unfriended"
never still somebody's laptop
Or just don't be dumb
Wouldn't have gotten in this situation because you shouldnt steal lmao
I also heard that this movie have multiple endings to it.
So the hacker uses "The River" for privacy, but at the same time he uses a macbook? What the hell?
You missed an opportunity for the perfect NordVPN sponsor right here.
was thinkin the same thing
I know this can be grounds for not cooperating with an officer, but he can prove it in court that he couldn't do it as he looked for all possible options that the hackers can do to make the officers kill him.
killer : i know were u are ! i can be everywere
also killer : i cant finde my laptop
You stated that deleting the videos is ultimately the biggest thing that would have prevented this however that makes 0 sense. Clicking the videos didnt provide tracking information or personal data it was connecting to home wifi, skype, social media. Playing of the videos itself didnt do anything. Also The river.exe is most likely the thing that broke the camels back and broke the door wide open to everything on that computer. The river is most likely the reason they were able to take remote control, openeing that created a connection similar to team viewer.
Moral of the story don't steal, don't pry, and don't be a dumb person
How to survive unfriended dark web: don't steal someone else's laptop and and stay away from the dark web
You should do a How to Beat for “Prowl (2010)”
Deleting data doesn’t remove it, it authorizes your system to write over it.
A really talented individual can partially recover or fully recover it depending on if it’s been written on or not.
How to avoid easier but still have the laptop:As soon as you make the deal get a shutdown error on the laptop that way they wont get a response but you killed your friends in the process easier way:Dont put your account in and set a deal to give it back
There is no way to beat this movie.
Saw got debunked already
Unplug the router?!
How to beat : don't take random laptops from the streets. This people made one of the dumb decisions of their life.
if youre a cyber criminal what time do you go to the gym or work out at home- and aside from doxxing what would you do with the information-
"oh yes i have information now time to go back to my normal day"
I have a Win XP laptop from the 90s. If I want to check a USB I would use that one. Most programs made today dont even really work on it
An XP laptop from the 90's? XP was launched in 2001.
@@User-3O3 he could of updated the laptop so the laptop would be from the 90s, then upgraded the OS to xp
The way the hackers teleport makes it all fictional
That’s what I’m sayin how they end up to ur place so fast 😂🤣
They don't teleport. There every where. They thought Damon was safe because he was in London, that is supposed to show you that their all over the world. Not teleporting - they could've been living a few blocks away. Ugh.
The 1 time I’m so close to predicting his Segway
this is how you can beat bad writing on the dark web
I like how the Charons place a SWAT call and after 2 minutes they show up at AJ’s house saying they have a warrant, which would mean that in the span of 2 minutes they manage grab a warrant from the judge and go over to AJ’s house to raid him 😂
the most realistic part of the movie is the police just shooting a defenseless dude for stupid reasons.
The cops were in with the hackers
Life Lesson: Don’t take random computers or else hackers will screw you up.
maaan, that have to be the best aportunity for an Nord VPN ad
Tips for stealing
This movie didn't scare me. Instead it just made me feel pissed off. These are just regular people with a very powerful computer and hacking skills. That's it, they're not overly muscular or even have a gun (unless you count the police one), these are just people who sits on their computer typing away while just make people suffer just for a fucking game. It just sickens me to know that they're just normal people with no cool feats of strength or speed heck they're not even on athlete level of power. Everyone can push someone, everyone can hide themselves in the dark, I just don't know what to explain but I just fucking despise them bro
when he started talking about VPN's i instantly checked the description
Hey, just wondering if you’ve considered doing a video on the sequel to Escape Room (2019)?
How to beat unfriended: don’t make any friends
Or dont be an asshole to society
for AJ, the door was closed to the basement the entire time. you can hear them yelling to open the door.
It's like a review I saw of this movie said, "Good grouping gravy these people are dumb!"
imagine just taking a laptop thats just laying around
I think matias didnt see the major detail. Why did charon iv leave the laptop there for months but suddenly he wanted it back?
More likely red flag: Erika has been missing for 3 days and yet there is extensive info about her abduction on a basically defunct laptop that was sitting around for 4 weeks?
my theory is that the criminal is the kidnapper from wttg. why? the whole movie is abount dark web and the game is about dark web too. the main character steals a laptop. and the main character in wttg steals a house. and the criminal is wearing the same clothes as the kiddnaper.
this didnt get in my recomended i searched for it
stupidest main character of all time 😂😂😂😂
i was waiting for thisss
So use VPN at cafes WiFi, dont log into your personal accounts, send screenshot of blockchain wallet login by Signal on the phone to Damon and secretely leave laptop in Uber?
How to beat this movie: Don’t be dumb and go through peoples stuff.
almost at 250k subs, i remember when you had 40k
If you ever find time, can you please do fear street
To beat this movie: Dont steal a laptop and be a hardass idiot thinking you can get away with searching the dark web
me hearing "you should use a vpn"
gettin my Finger on the progress bar
"this isnt a segway to a sponsorship"
me: "fuck"
Can't believe he didn't just sell it on Craigslist
