I was looking at the Outback Motortek crash bars because they connect to the frame and not the engine. Not sure if there are other crash bars that are frame mounted on the market, but I love the skid plate you were talking about in this video, I just am not sure if they would work with the Outback Motortek crash bars because I think they mount in the same place.

Which size on the rear tire? If I’m not wrong the stock one is 160/60 r17. You could put on the 150/70 r17 mitas E07+ which gives it better handling as the 160 is already too wide for the bike itself, also the 150/70 r17 gives better ground clearance. Hope you can answer my question. Thank you Boss.

Good video. What do u think of the outback motortek crash bars and skit plate for the cb500x? I was told that they make great products? Let me know what do you think.
The outback skid plate looks like a nice shield, but I prefer the rally raid it is almost like an added sub frame for the bottom of the bike with a shield and I have tested it. It can really take a hit and support the way to the bike. I do like the crash bars though, and would probably consider them, but I hear Honda is releasing a XL 750 and I am eyeing it up hard
Hi, great video, I've also added to my CB500X 2022 the Rally Raid engine bars and R&G kick-stand plate, happy with both. Also added SW-Motech footpegs and Hepco & Becker tank protection bars which seem to be pretty solid. Still got to decide which tyres though. All the best.

Did gou find the clearance between the front fender and midas tires too narrow? Any amount of mud would start to get stuck in there, wouldn't it?

@@ctroy64 they were great dependable on and off road 8000 km. The back was starting to look a little worn but the front still looked new.
One of my favorite UA-camrs. I like your to-the-point style. Unrelated question: I have a CRF300L Rally and I’m planning to have the ECU remapped by 550Performance. My dilemma is choosing the right exhaust to pair with the remapped ECU. I want the added power and weight savings but I don’t want the extra noise that usually comes with an aftermarket exhaust, which exhaust do you recommend?
Thanks for the support👍 I have not fitted any pipes onto the 300L yet but I am the same way I do not like anything obnoxiously loud I am very impressed with the scorpion pipe it is not too loud and definitely adds a decent power gain… I would check out the arrow exhaust it looks pretty decent and from what I’ve heard it’s not too loud and should go well with your ECU upgrade

Can you link the foot peg pads and the kick stand pad? Can’t seem to find right fits for the bike.
The foot pegs I bought off of eBay search for a 2019 CB 500 foot pegs and they should pop right up. The kickstand pad and most other accessories I bought off of the rally raid website www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk
The way you jump out it in your videos, puts me on edge. I don't know if it's just me, but it looks like your front tire is mounted in the wrong direction.

Front tires are always mounted in the opposite direction as the rear tire. The rear tire is for acceleration the front tire is for breaking
It's your style and it's really growing on me as I binge watch your videos.

Great vid! I did just order a Rally Raid bash plate. I’ve heard it’s not compatible with any crash bars… that must not be true if you are looking at the SW-Motechs?
I believe the SW Motech crash bars mount on the outside of the frame and front motor mount and they are compatible with the skid plate I have them on order for another bike Once I fit them on the other bike I’ll make my decision to order a set for myself or not I will be sure to make an install video if I get them for my bike
they are compatible with the givi upper crash bars

Looks like it's been a few months, so you may have already gone with the SW Motech crash bars, but if not, give SRC Moto a look.
They have a phenomenal 11 gauge aluminum skidplate that mounts similarly to your Rally Raid plate, and it can hold the weight of the bike but protects the header pipes too!
You lose about 1/2 inch of clearance for the plate, but it's well worth it and you still have access to changing the oil (though the filter is a bear with the whole protection kit on).
Great content and would love to have a clip of the exhaust note in the video when you mention the Scorpion exhaust.

I got the Rally Raid and returned it for Outback Motortek. Their landing page showing the stress test got my money.
My rally rate has been bashed off rocks many times holds the weight of the bike and has been put to the test on two different bikes. The skid plate is still straight as the day I bought it.
The outback is a completely different product. It is more of a splash guard/mud protector that relies on the crash bars for actual protection the rally rate is an actual skid plate. They can take a beating and fully support the weight of protecting and the sides of your motor
I had RR before. Changing oil on it is a hassle. Yes, the Outback Motortek isn't as strong as RR but pair with the upper protection is bullet proof. Besides, RR customer service is horrible.

Not a clue I would never look into such thing for a bike like this. It is a great bike and those kind of mods bring nothing but problems.

The tires are great I don’t really notice any road noise if you go to my channel page and look under shorts I have two videos of the scorpion exhaust what is comparing the stock to the scorpion
Get the Hepco and Becker tank bars. They work with the Rally Raid bash plate well because they don’t mount to the same lower frame/engine bolt.
SW Motech work with the rally raid skid plate as well they mount on the outside of the bottom engine mount where as the skid plate mounts on the inside of the bottom engine mount but I will definitely check out the Hepco‘s
@@Maxsmotoshop I personally would be very hesitant to hang two separate sets of guards from a single engine mount. Seems like an awful lot of stress to me.

@@mikewilliams8311 I did check out his channel but he seems confused he is telling people that no other crash bars will work with the rally raid Skid plate but yes other bars will work it was just a matter of personal preference and what you want to go with

Harder to find… but SW Motech products are awesome. Rally Raid is really good too. I love my center stand too much… so their engine guard can’t help me.
Yes A Center stand would be nice unfortunately every other skid plate offered for this bike is kind of a joke they are more so splash guards than an actual skid plate I wish rally raid Would redesign their skid plate to work with us understand
E07s great on gravel and OK in sand. Crap in mud the front will wash a bit so take it easy if ya in any mud

looks like the treads on the tires are in the opposite direction?
The rear tire is for acceleration. The front tire is for breaking the tire looks like it is mounted backwards. All newer tires are being made this way.

Check RevZilla or fort nine it is hard to fine tires at this point the market is crazy I like the Mitas E O7+ or E 09s
