I'd never thought to box the bottom of my project pods. And a handle?!?! Two great skill builders? I love the French seam bottom instead of binding the inside and would never have dared try a handle with binding but now I'm going to have to! Thanks for ANOTHER fantastic project idea.
Thank you for such kind feedback Dottie❤️
Tracey you have helped me soon much thanks
Somebody got herself a fancy iron! 😊😮🤩 How fun!
I love your detailed instructions. And I love how you add highlighted text on your videos to emphasize what is most important! Thanks for taking care of us to make sure we are successful in our quilting projects!
Thank you RDM! Happy Mother’s Day!!!🌹💐🌺
Happy Mother's Day, Tracy!!!! 💐
Awe...thank you Dori...right back at ya...enjoy your weekend❤️
Can't wait to make these. I'm going to have to retire to get all these projects done, not enough hours in the day ❤
Good Luck, you’ll find you have even more to do when you retire!😅😂🤣
I need more hours in my day for sure LOL🤣
Great tutorial! I will definitely box the bottom of future project bag! Thank you!
Yes!!! Boxed bottom for the win! Thanks, Tracy!
I have used clear vinyl shower curtain ,to make ID tag pockets. I use it alot in embroidery pockets or baby book pockets. I'm going to use it in this project bag of yours.
Awesome!!!!!
I can't wait to make my bag(s). And I really love your fabric.b
❤😊 Thank U Tracy, what great tools, advice, hints on projects can drive Us Crazy, I'm Enjoying and learning as I'm getting back into sewing, PATIENCE AND KEEP ROCKING LIFE BEAUTIFULLY ❤😊
Awesome...welcome back to the sewing world❤️
Thank you for a hreat demo.
Great video! I can’t wait to make these!!
Loved the idea of course! Tracy have a blessed & extremely Happy Mother’s Day!
Happy Mother’s Day Glenda!!🌹🌸🌷💐🌺
Absolutely fantastic project and tutorial 🎉
I like your minimal chit-chat, that you do a brief intro then get right into it.
Teaching it is a gift 🎁
Thank You very well done
As always, love your projects and style! Terrific tutorial, thanks! ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
❤❤❤❤❤ Great gift for anyone who sews, quilts, knits, or crochets. Would make a cute little travel bag for jammies, a book, and toys when kids are traveling to Grandma’s house or those who travel from one parent’s house to another. Maybe a school bag for young ones? I like to keep a set of clothes and a few toiletries in my car, so your Pod would be a colorful addition. I save XL cotton dress shirts for “man projects.” You can find some great ones at thrift stores plus my brother saves his for me. I see a travel pod in his future! Thanks for another great project idea. Your videos are always so inspiring. Great editing and photography. Plus I love your sense of humor. 😂
Thank you for the kind feedback Susan ! Great idea to keep a pod in the car for emergencies ✅
Those are BOUGIE sis!👀❤️
Right!! I'll be high styling while while crafting LOL🤣
@@TheSewingChannel For sure!!😂😂
Love the project bags and your super video tutorial!! Thanks for all the vinyl hints!!
Love that you explain everything so thoroughly.
Nice bags!❤
I truly appreciate your showing potential places for having difficulty: vinyl catching and how to problem solve that; keeping things square; extra length on the zipper and avoiding losing the pull; bumping against the machine with stiff fabric; almost forgetting the strap. I absolutely could see myself doing any of those things and appreciate the heads-up to avoid an issue.
You are so kind to point those tips out again. I try & leave as many hiccups in the video that I can♥️so that others can learn from them♥️
A Teflon foot will not stick to the vinyl. I bought mine at Joann’s. It fit on my Juki.
Awesome!!! I have one too but it's for my old machine...Bummer!!!
Hi Tracy! What a great project bag!
Thank you very much for sharing this tutorials with us. You are awesome. I love your new iron. Thank you again.
Love this tutorial. You did a great job.
The newspaper trick is brilliant! Thanks. 😊
I made the project bags 2.0 and found the instructions VERY CONFUSING. I was looking for another way to make these bags and I’m gonna give yours a try. Love the detailed tutorial
Glad it was helpful! YOU Can Do It Renee!!!!!!🎉
Cool video Tracy. I would love to design a reusable large shopping bag with a large rectangle bottom. I watch your videos alot. Thank you!
Trick for vinyl, just put scotch tape on the bottom of your zipper foot & it will help tremendously with sticking! Not quite as good as a Teflon foot, but very close
Great tip!
Love your positive attitude and tips. I have not sewed with vinyl before. Can you give me idea of how you would use these to hold a project. I use project boxes at home to contain my projects. They stack so that works for me. I just need some ideas what to use them for.
to see the vinyl easier rub a permanent marker along the edges, they will be sewn into the seam anyway
Fabulous idea! Thank you!
I do love the handle idea and shape but I think I would use foam instead instead of the 2 stabilizers. Thank you for the tips😄
Yes....absolutely use foam✅...keep me posted on how it works...I almost tried one in the foam but I ran out of time.....
Great Instructions !! I have the same Juki and absolutely love it! If you purchase a "Thick" Needle plate and the hinged zipper foot you will find you will not break any needles! Have a great day!
Thanks for the tip❤️
They look easy. Thanks for sharing!
You need more room back there. You should move out from being cramped like that. You look like you've been boxed into the corner.
Right...I have a small sewing space🤷🏻♀️
Happy Mother's Day Tracey! Great video! A wee bit confused though. GP? Good practice maybe? 😊 Love your channel.
GP=General Purpose (that's how I learned it haha). Some people say "good practice". Both sound good for what I meant though🤷🏻♀️
Just saw this and haven't watched yet! I'm so excited! Have been wanting something like this!! Look forward to watching and making! 😊😊😊
I really enjoyed your tutorial! I will definitely be making these. They would make great retreat gifts.
I agree! Great for retreaters!!!
Fantastic tutorial! I learned a lot! Thanks, Tracy! I enjoyed seeing you in the video in Idaho at Di’s retreat! It had a lot of fun times!
These are so fun! On my list for sure❤
Great idea, and I love your videos!
Cute bags
Wow girl love these❤
Thank you Nancy....I have so much to put in them too LOL😂
Thanks Tracey. Just purchased your pattern and am looking forward to giving this a try 😊
Awesome. Send me pics to my email when you have a finish❣️thesewingchannel33@gmail.com
I love the pods! I will definitely make some.
Yay! Thank you!
wonderful instructions, can't wait to make these. Thank you for your time..
You are so welcome!
I loved this project bag!! I might even tweet it just a bit and make it a travel toiletry bag.
Have a question about your chair, is an Arrow by chance? I’ve been thinking about buying one but, would love your advice. Thank you for you content and savvy tricks and tips. ❤
I can’t remember. I think it is arrow though.
Do I need to know what Grinchmass is? Lol I really enjoyed this video and now i need to make your bags! Thank you
LOL🤣
Nice
Thank you Sara❤️
I want to join under the $1.99 but can't find a place to do it. Can you help? I love your channel and you!
I love them. Thank you so much. ?? Would loosening the pressure on the foot, when boxing the corners, without stop the needles from breaking?
I did loosen….. also loosened my microliter. Only way was to eliminate batting on bottom edge✅
Tracy where did you get the lights for your sewing machine Awesome tutorial!
I forget...but Juki junkies sells them I know✅
Can you tell me the model Juki sewing machine you use. Very impressive with the speed of your machine.
Here's the link to machine jukijunkies.com/juki-tl-18/ref/TheSewingChannel/
Do you use longer stitches when sewing the vinyl?
No...I used 2mm and sewed everything on opposite of vinyl✅
What kind of steam iron are you using>

Would love to buy your cross body cargo bag, but I don't have a printer. Do you have a paper version?
So sorry...I don't sell the paper version. If you go to the Public Library..I've been told that they will print it for anyone...✅
Wait..I have not seen that iron before. I have the cordless one after you praised it but what is THIS one? Could not find link on your section of 'more'. Details please and is this better/different than the cordless? Thanks Tracy
LOL😂 Yes...I have a new iron...here's my affiliate link 💥My Laura Star Link For FREE SHIPPING Here: everythinglongarm.com/thesewingchannel
I have been looking at the Laurastar but there is nowhere near me I can go see it and the Canadian company that sells them won’t let me return it if I don’t like it. I hope you can answer a question for me about it. Do you ever have the problem of brown spitting with this iron like irons with water directly added do?
No brown spitting at all!
I checked out the Laurastar, considered the investment in it, stuck with my Rowenta and bought a new Singer iron, any of the steam irons will eventually spit on my fabric, so... I made a silk organza sole plate cover (bought pkg of wool and silk organza from Farmhouse Fabrics, great place); I don't fear scorching my wonderful materials. I do heirloom sewing so keeping my materials pristine is critical. Good luck.
Where do you get your minky type blankets for backing!
For my last quilt ...I bought it at Burlington Coat Factory.
