Is it normal for them to send my background check before offering me a job offer? I have not received a job offer but they did send me my consumer report on October 12 and said they would get back to me in a few days and I haven’t heard anything at all.

I received a conditional job offer for a location that is way to far& i am hoping one of these jobs opens up closer to me. After watching some UA-cam vids on what to do I'm going to decline that offer. They also sent the enail to do background check. Do you know if i still proceed with the background check or should i wait for one of the other postings i applied for to open up?!? Help.. anyone i am so frustrated. All the status's are in pre -hire
I’d still do the background check just to have it on file when another location opens. I’m not 100% sure, but to save some time I would. The process does take a while for a lot of people. It’s been 3 weeks since you wrote this… have you had any luck with another offer?
Hey ! I was offered a job (CCA) the end of March then a few days after I received a email for driving and fingerprints background (did all that ) between April and May I received 6 job offers. The first of June I had to do the driving record again and now it’s 6/15 and still no orientation date . I’ve called HR in Ga , they are not helpful and by the end of June , I have to do the fingerprints again 😩. Any suggestions?

After my fingerprints, it took them about a month and a half to 2 months to finally contact me with my dates. I made a video going over the entire process. I was actually looking at my emails when I made it, so the timelines are more accurate. I appreciate your comment bro
That should have came a few days to a week or so after you did your assessment. But the timeframe isnt always the same. I had a guy that got on in 3 weeks, compared to my 3 and a half months.

@USPS Twan so I went for my fingerprinting in the post office and they sent them directly to the office where I applied I guess for review. They told me to wait for orientation, and told me welcome aboard. And that if I already had my job offer then I basically had the job. However I’ve heard the background takes a long time. I believe it has to be done on a computer or phone. Have you tried going to a local library or somewhere with public computers?

No. They weren't requiring that test. I think there's such a shortage of workers. They didn't require a few things that they used to.
