I read something that said that every cell in our body regenerates every 7 years. I take comfort knowing that there isn’t a cell left in my body touched by my abuser. 🦋 May you be safe, may you be healthy, may you be happy, may you live with ease 🦋
I never comment on videos but I need to tell you how effortless it has been to subscribe to you. You are such a raw honest person and an absolute asset to this platform ❤️ thank you for being so vulnerable. Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing absolutely fantastic. You have also made me desperate to go book hunting in charity shops and market stalls 😊 Much love!

Thank you for being so honest. As someone else with depression and a child, i think that we have a lot to offer our children. We teach them resilience to get through bad days, we teach them that you don’t have to be happy every day, we teach them that days do get better when we come out of our fogs and we are teaching them that talking about feelings is bloody important. Your videos/ posts always bring a smile to my face so thank you. You also have an amazingly beautiful dog by the way. Xx
Ah you made me cry! As someone with depression I can relate so strongly to the feelings and thoughts that you are experiencing. Thank you for sharing. Please keep talking. You are loved and you are appreciated and there are better days ahead even if we can’t always see that 💕
Thank you for being brave enough to be so open about your struggles it definitely does make people less along knowing that other people have went through or are going through similar things
I don’t think I have watched anyone else who has been as open & honest as you & just wanted to say thank you 🙏. I am the first person to say I bottle things up and would tell people I’m ok when I’m not. I’m so glad I found your channel today x
Hi Tyrone. I've just discovered your channel today and have really enjoyed your vlogs so far. Love your joy for books and bookshops! 📚 Your openness and transparency moved me to tears. Glad you are on this Earth. Keep going. You are seen, known and loved beyond what you will ever know. Where there is darkness, light will come. Praying for you now ❤️🙏
Dude!! Big hug to you that talk at the beginning was so open and tough but I see you and you're doing a great thing by sharing those hardships, you're not alone and you should never have been put through that. You are a great human, you can see the kindness in your eyes but remember you deserve that kindness too. I recently realised from therapy myself for mental health due to a long term condition I've got, that the books are a good distraction for after you've done the therapeutic work of going through traumas you need the nice good distractions to come back down from the rough place you've revisited. It is okay to have the good distractions that soothe us 🙂Look after yourself 👏💪Thanks for being a trooper and being here with us!!
As someone who suffers depression and chronic illness I can relate to you a lot thank you so much for being real I love your content my inbox is always open if u need to chat x
Ive been having a really hard time for the last few months and finding your page really has helped me. The community youve built feels so safe and kind and the brilliant folks in the discord truly make me feel less alone some days... Youve also encouraged me to read again and i might now have a problem... Im on book 76 since May 😂 I hope you get as much from your community as we do! Thank you for being so honest and real and making us feel like we're seen!
Hope you’re feeling a bit better today! Your videos on TikTok make mine and my fiancées (readwithTam) days, and we especially love your UA-cam videos, we love sitting together to catch up 🥰🤍
I’m so glad you do come online and talk, I’ve been in a dark place many long and scary times but for me it did eventually get better. I hope and pray it does for you too.
I appreciate your candid approach and sincerity. I have a history with depression. It's a struggle to balance the scales some times. A few things that have helped me achieve greater balance in my personal life. 1. Adopting the perspective of mind and body as being one. Highlighting the connection between what we eat and how we move to our mental health. 2. A gratitude journal. I kept a gratitude journal for about six months. Intentionally trying to note the smallest or most obscure things I could find gratitude in. After six months I didn't need the journal anymore. I had developed the habit of gratitude. 3. Two books that helped me along the way. Atomic Habits by James Clear and Dopamine Nation by Anna Lembke. 4. The Stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus. None of these were the end all be all solutions. They are weights for the scale that constantly needs to be balanced.
It is really refreshing and brave to come online and say this and bring awareness it is extremely brave. I too am currently disabled but have mental health issues and was assaulted when I was younger I kept it all in too. Just to know your not alone and I love watching your reviews and videos your doing amazing ❤
Hey, I just wanted to say hi and thank you for putting energy into recording these videos. I love your book recommendations so I have one for you, I just discovered Gael Song trilogy from Shauna Lawless, it's amazing. It's about Norse and Irish mythology.
I think you're incredibly brave for sharing your story, the road to healing isn't always easy or linear, but one day you'll look back and realise how far you've come and it will all be worth it!
You’re one of my favourite book creators. I love that you’re a “middle aged man” who makes “average book reviews” because a lot of book content is very polished and is not realistic. You can tell that you genuinely love reading and that is what fuels you. I’ve had a similar journey to you in life, and reading has always been the one place where I can step out my own head and go somewhere else for a bit. Keep doing you and I hope that the journey continues on in the right direction x
Thank you for being so honest. On your TikTok and Instagram, I see that. And it's wonderful to see that here too. It's so tough. I know that. I'm proud of you for it. I've been through mental health struggles too, I still do. I too was sexually assaulted as a child, 9, and that still effects me at the age of 24. So I'm here for your journey and see your love of books. You're so passionate about it and that really resonates with me as someone who started really reading in November last year and it's become something so important to me. So thank you. Always.
So glad I found your channel. You are bringing me a lot of joy watching you talk about books and your life in general.
