"He was twitching *BECAUSE HE'S GOT MY AXE EMBEDDED IN HIS NERVOUS SYSTEM!"*
The dwarves are good at science
@@LC-qi5ff they're inventors
@@LC-qi5ff I mean they gotta be some kind of geologist, petrologist and metallurgist for sure
Not the beared 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't understand how directors get this wrong all the time, using modern words in a film set in the past.
In lotr they had no idea what nervous system is.
Just like somebody in the Witcher universe would never curse with sh*t or f*ck.
Or there was this Templar series where the Queen would joke about rooster and c*ck.
I mean don't the directors get it, this is set in the middle ages 😅
I always wondered how Legolas only ended up with 42 when he had 17 in like the first 30 seconds lol
ran outta arrows
@@GothKaida He has a full quiver in this clip lmao
DLH he picked them up after the battle 👌🏽
Legolas too busy saving those two.
Arragon : Legolas
*Tries to kill the bomb lighter*
Arrgon : Legolas
*Cover Gimli while sliding stairs*
Arragon : Legolas
*pull them up from the bridge*
gimli pushed down a ladder full of orcs.
The way Legolas strodes into the camera. He's so proud of himself. He's like, "There was never a doubt. I am the winner here!"
Gimli: "I myself am sitting pretty on Forty-THREE"
Fangorn Forest: "Amateurs."
Yeah but each tree got an even share, so it still ends up being 43 🤣
His face when he says fourty threeeee. Lmao. Love it.
That right there is primo Dwarven pride XD
Warriors fight for their lives, legends treat it like a game😂😂😂
well, personalities might bright different perspectives to battles, which can look like are unwinnable. some people might try to flee when their psyche breaks, some might go down swinging being serious all the time constantly giving themselves the drive through yells and growls and some simply decide to go with a smile turning it into some kind of a fun or sport
Fr 😂❤
I love the two: Legolas & Gimlin, they always compete each others on scores. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Same here
*Gimli
So they knew about the nervous system in Middle Earth eh? And I've been underestimating their knowledge of science this whole time!
Well look at the shire, they are masters of botany, plant husbandry, and likely engineering given the wind mills.
Thanks to the Numenóreans lmao
Have you heard about rings of power? Those are high tech af.
@@stingerjohnny9951 Not to mention Hobbits literally invented the art of smoking.
These two will never get old 😆
Love this scene.
I thought gimli got at least like 500 orcs when he jumped on the bridge with aragorn....tf
And legolas 1000 when he makes that big stair fall
Both only count as one.
actually he didnt kill ANY orcs on the bridge cus there weren't any orcs in that battle
@@panxitongi but that only counts one lol
I wonder how many Orcs has Legolas killed during is 2000+ years of his life?
10 000 Uruk-Hais and 2 best soldiers just killed 85
Make that “86”
Have you ever been in a fight ? Killing just ten regular people even for a highly trained person is remarkable , let alone above 80 and not regular but very strong and trained heavily armoured enchanted hungry man-eating monsters.. You're taking war too lightly brother
@@DaggerZ555 I mean I agree but have you ever been in a fight?
@@larsf478 I'm a fighter bro , I did judo , boxing , kick boxing now dabbling in MMA not to mention I lift hard.. So
@@DaggerZ555 ... So you have never been in a fight with actual weapons (which is what we're talking about here). You have never killed someone with a sword, axe ode bow so you are not really in a position to judge how hard it is for Gimli or Legolas to kill an orc.
Still one of my favorite scenes
I think the spirit of the clip is much more important than the actual realistic number count, Gimli would have one up'd Legolas anyways lol
This is correct. Literally whatever Legolas said, Gimli was going to lie with absolute confidence.
You would assume Legolas would have least reached treble figures with his skill and agility .
Am I the only one who thinks there kill count is low?
The plot revolves around a fantasy world but abide but rules of logic and science so not really. It’s not like a video game where the protagonist kills hundreds
@@ngythe1king I understand that but my problem with it is aimed more at the the start when within the first few moments of the battle legolas has reached 19 kills and there is a scene where Gimli is ontop of the wall and shouts “twenty one!” that’s just at the the start of the battle. I guess I just think they would have killed more than 22 more with rest of the battle that took place. Maybe it’s just the way the show them hacking there way through enemy’s
@@mrjamieson4741 I could be wrong as I never lived in that era, but from the books I've read archers and soldiers get most of their kills when the enemy is running and climbing the walls. The second the wall is breached and the enemy have soldiers all over the walls then it becomes a blood bath of everyone-for-themselves. So I'm assuming between the walls blowing up, fighting during the orcs breaking in the first level, and retreating towards the second and third levels are what took their numbers down.
@@mrjamieson4741 The easy answer from the book is that Legolas ran out of arrows and his toothpicks for daggers were not very effective against heavy armor users, unlike Gimli who even the numbers with one o one combat with his battle axe.
I like how orc confirmingly shakes as Gimli touches the axe
This should’ve made the final cut
It is in the final cut, in the extended edition. The standard theatrical cut which is on most streaming platforms like netflix, played in theatres, etc. has a lot of little scenes missing all throughout including this one and many others just as good. The extended editions are a must have
@@jubielhalasz295 never understood why people bring up things not being in the “final cut” when the extended edition has been around since more than two decades ago
@@AtillaTheFun1337 I know. It's kinda sad because the extended editions are just so good it's not the same without. It sucks that so many people don't know about them and can't appreciate them
@@jubielhalasz295 I watched the extended edition so many times in the past, never gets old! The way I see it, the more Peter Jackson LoTR, the better! That’s why I was all smiles about the hobbit being made as a trilogy.
@@AtillaTheFun1337 Yea you're definitely right
I wanna laugh at this but i always find it so dark and creepy when dead bodies twitch due to nervous system manipulation. Ugh **shivers**
How does Gimli know what a nervous system is
Being in constant and too much warring and battling in middle-earth people basically become expert butchers
@@DaggerZ555 It breaks the immersion a bit when a dwarf warrior from Middle Earth uses such a modern-sounding phrase. If he just said "head" (or some old-scottish word that means head) instead, it'd be perfect.
@@MizantropMan But is it modern sounding? I mean afterall the twitching to any expert does have to do with one's nerves, and the body does work as a literal system.. Not necessarily warriors but mere butchers often had basic knowledge about the biology of an animal's bodily behaviors in order to study how to preserve and maintain them.. In a nutshell I feel it's common knowledge
@@DaggerZ555 Good point.
Always wondered this myself as a kid but apparently even the ancient Greeks had some concept of the nervous system. This kind of stuff only really started becoming common knowledge in like the 17th century.
legolas shot that big ladder killing 50 right there
I just realized Gimli was LITERALLY sitting pretty on #43
the fact that Legolas is way older than Gimli it makes this count battle as Grandfather vs son
legolas killed like 60 when he shot down that massive ladder though.
"That still only count as one"
I bet most of the orcs on that ladder survived but were still crippled at worst.
@@HolyMackerel490 nah man, that fall - they're dead. Literally crushed them
@@JacksonJDoyel I counted 15 Uruks on the ladder. The ones nearer to the bottom would have been likely to survive because it wasn't much of a fall for them, and human beings aren't that fragile that they'd die from that kind of fall, to say nothing of these fantastical super-strong Uruks. Plus, the ones who let go would have had their falls broken by the Uruks down below.
@@HolyMackerel490 i disagree
isnt there an extended version of this where Aragorn walks up and says his kill count, which is like more than theirs combined? lol
Legolas and Gimli: the original Sanji and Zoro. Always bickering about who's the best.
It's obvious neither Legolas killed just 42 nor Gimli killed just 43.
Always liked how everyone get nervous because of the battle but Gimli & Legolas make kill counts...
i can imagine after a battle,Mipha is chilling and Revali comes, they tell each other’s scores for their kills, the salty chicken shoots an arrow, and she tells him the enemy was already dead,Rev says the dude was twitching and she counters saying “he was twitching because he’s got my trident embedded in his nervous system!!” then she goes to tend to the injured
the amount of uruks he killed by shooting the ladder doesn't count ;D
If you ever feel bad, know that Legolas lost a game with a 19-2 lead. With a bow.
That's not how nerves work but I'll accept it since it so funny
That's how orc nervous systems work of course
Ranged vs melee weapon gave Legolas an advantage
And he had a head start, I’d say gimli catching up was rather impressive.
Petition to get me to 44 likes to pass their count😂
Literally every fighting game character
This LOTR scene is so hilarious!
Legolas had to have a lot more than 42 throughout the night. Should be in the hundreds.
He’s got a good point, Legolas.
Does anyone spot dead elves here? I've never seen one but assume there would be.
There'd be some, though not as many would have died as humans since overall they're better fighters. And since there weren't many elves there to begin with presumably few would have actually died..
@@jubielhalasz295 that would be true however they were in the frontlines having to deal with them the longest so quite possibly very few r left
Don't elves disappear after they die to be reborn?
It's a tie, then
Gimli, legolas 😂
There is absolutely no way in hell Legolas got 42 kills nor Gimli got 43 of 10000 uruks.
Ugh, comic relief Gimli.
They know about the nervous system but can’t invent guns lol
Considering how there were 10k uruk Hai.... 43.... Is extremely extremely low.... Considering both arrows and swords
Think gimili on the wall knocking off uruks allowed him to catch up
So we just gonna skip the part that gimli knows what a nervous system is?
Even in ancient times, people knew about stuff like that. They weren't that stupid
I thought at least 100 or 200 orcs were killed by Legolas 😂
Since when does Legolas has a regular sword?!
Gimli’s right Legolas. He’s just twitching cuz of the ax. U only killed 42. But that’s a lot considering.
So they're arguing on their K/D ratio
bs. I DO NOT believe that legolas only killed 42. we have seen how he fights. that number is sus af
WHYY WHY NOT İNCLUDE THİS
at what minute can I see this scene?
Lol
They are lovers
