Procedure for Battery Disconnection.
Whenever a vehicle battery has to be disconnected, switch off all equipment interior lights etc. close the doors leaving the
driver's window down.
Switch off the ignition and remove the key.
Wait a full 3-minutes before disconnecting the battery.
Procedure for Battery Reconnection
Wait 2 minutes after battery reconection before open dors and start engine.
There should be a law prohibiting anyone, who designed this thing, to do anything more, than digging sewers. Pure commedy.

So that a normal person would take the car to the service or local car repairment just to replace the Battery ( the easyest job after the light replacement in the old car, like fiat punto 95 or older)

Extraordinar video, cu ajutorul video-ului am schimbat bateria la Citroen Berlingo Multispace model 2010. Singura diferenta a fost ca am avut loc sa scot bateria fara a desface complect gura de aspiratie, a fost de ajuns sa scot doar furtunul din placa de protectie. Multam mult, chiar am economisit niste bani cu ajutorul tau.

Doua observatii ! 1: Cand ai scos borna de "+" si ai dat-o deoparte exista riscul ca aceasta sa atinga un punct de masa(-) ceea ce este = cu a conecta ( scurtcircuita) bornele de "+"si "-" intre ele. Asta poate avea grave consecinte asupra ECU, BSI, end shets...care mai au stocata tensiune in condensatori, iar un varf de tensiune le poate distruge.
2. Exista o procedura de decuplare a bateriei si de recuplare a acesteia pentru ca e interzis sa se lase BSI fara tensiune pentru ca isi poate pierde "memoria" si vei avea tot felul de probleme: Stergatoare care pornesc singure sau nu se mai opresc, semnalizari care nu mai functioneaza, geamuri care nu se mai ridica pana sus...etc. Cel mai sigur se foloseste un disp.numit OBD2 memory saver care este practic o mufa obd2 care se conecteaza la mufa obd a masinii si la celalalt capat doi clesti cu cabluri care se conecteaza pe o a doua baterie INCARCATA si abia apoi scoti borna "+" la bateria masinii, iar BSI nici nu va sti ca a pierdut bateria. Atentie! Odata borna masinii deconectata ea se izoleaza electric pt.ca are tensiune de la a doua baterie prin mufa obd2. Mai revin cu o mentiune la punctul 1: Scurtcircuitarea bornelor masinii in scopul resetarii tuturor calculatoarelor ei nu este permisa in mod direct ci prin intermediul unei rezistente de 1 sau 10 ohm nu mai stiu exact-urmariti-l pe Scoty Kimler pe youtube ,care vorbeste despre asta. Deci MARE ATENTIE nu e ca la Dacie! As fi vrut si eu asa simplu!

Hello. For Peugeot & Citroen cars, it is not necessary to register the battery in the car's computer. Replace the battery with one suitable for your car and that's it.

@@partoems9376 I think it would be good to go to a car electrician to check the charging system.
@@AdrianDragan I don't know much, but I think it should be done. When the old battey has capacity 60 Ah and the new one has 75 Ah or vice versa, this must be written into car computer via diagnostic tool . But not only because of this capacity but also because of calculation some other electric values.
@@002o4 If I remember correctly, there are some capacity margins between which the battery must fall, if it is exceeded it will have to be written in the computer with the original diagnosis. Since you went from 60 to 75 Ah, I think you will have to go by the service for a check.

It is best to check the parameters of the original battery on your car, if the car has Start / Stop function you must buy a special battery for it. You can check on the website of the manufacturer Varta which battery it recommends for your car: www.varta-automotive.com/en-gb/battery-finder
Salut. Am un peugeot 308 2.0 hdi fabricat la sf anului 2009. Mi-a murit bateria si ma gandesc s-o schimb insa nu stiu ce baterie sa cumpar pt ca sunt ft multe dimensiuni si amperaj. Nu am desfscut capacul sa vad exactce baterie am pe masina. Se poate sa ma ajuti cu un sfat? Tu ce baterie ai cumparat sau recomanzi?
Salut. Eu am observat ca bateriile din fabrica sunt subdimensionate pentru un motor diesel (cel putin asta e parerea mea), masina mea a venit cu baterie de 55ah. Dupa ce a picat cea originala am inlocuit-o cu una de 74Ah si vreo 700A (curent la pornire). Incape fara probleme si o baterie de 77Ah.
@@AdrianDragan am schimbat ieri bateria cu o varta blue dynamic 74ah 680A 278 175 190 ca dimensiune. Si porneste foarte bine. Multumesc mult spor in continuare!

Great video, how long can the battery be left off the car? Will it affect the computer memory ?
I don't know if the connection off for a long time affects memory, normally would not be affected. On board computer only date and hour will be reset.
Yes that is good caution... I don't know.. mechanic said if u cut off the power memory loose and need to setting againe.. What is your opinion?

Thanks! I have just one question. In all sites i've read that first we disconnect the negative terminal and then the positive terminal. When connecting all back, first positive terminal and then negative. But in this case it doesn't seem possible. Whats your opinion?

Nu am nici aunwoofer nici cupie pilotata :). Cel mai probabil acele sigurante sunt pentru elecromotorul de pornire si alti consumatori mai mari.

By the way, my peugeot 308 yeqr 2012 the radio died when the alternator stopped working. I checked the fuse behind glovebox F8 and it seems fine. Cant switch on, the radio, the time panel just blinks. Cannot set the time
Any ideas why?
Service centre asks to chnage the whole panel and it is very expensive, almost 1.5k USD!

Good video, but what a place for the negative terminal!! As a rule ALWAYS disconnect this 1st, NEVER positive! You can short the battery or circuits.
Hello. Yes, I know the rule that the first time the negative terminal is removed, but here it is impossible.
@@AdrianDragan I did one last week. Took the top circuits etc off 1st, got a 300mm 1/4 drive extension with a extra long socket. Then the positive. 👍 Had to change the temp sensor at the back so all had to come off. What a crazy design 🤔

Hello Adrian, or anyone. I have a C5 and the battery clamp does not have a bolt. I'm talking about the main battery clamp that holds the whole thing in place. It is a plastic clamp with a square recess / hole in. I can turn it a bit but I can't remove it.

Hello have you any idea how to clear the anti pollution faulty on 308. Diagnosis say camshaft sensor. Changed the cylinder but the engine management light is still on and the fault is not cleared. Thanks.
