- Some guy... alright listen, didn't have a whole lotta fun making this video and unfortunately, I see this as being better boring to watch as well, there's the odd and interesting thing mentioned here and there but it mainly dribbles and stuff... still it's done.

Honestly, I would love a Spy unlock that uses the dispenser disguise effect. Imagine a bunch of people trying to get healed, finding a dispenser in the corner of the map, and getting stabbed
Would be a great addition to the spy
@@Soapromancer stab dispenser, _become dispenser_
Would make the yer a bit better, even if that's not what you meant
Prop hunt, TF2 editon.
@@JGT-yd2wx I know you said it as a joke, but dispensers aren't props
@@maestrofeli4259 do you know what prop hunt is?
Valve NEEDS to add dispenser spy
dispenser spy
Would be fun to have the dispenser spy checked :D
@@stes5429 just stand infront of it
I loved the mvm robot turnover with spy
Problem is that then the respawn machine gets smacked by a hammer and everyone dies
I love how aggressively balanced mannpower is
'IN THE EVENT OF TEAM INBALANCE, LESSER TEAM RECEIVES CRITICAL EFFECT AND EVERY BOOST EVER'
'IF YOU ARE WINNING, YOU GET MARKED FOR DEATH AND ALL POSITIVE EFFECTS ARE REMOVED'
have you tried fighting against anything with regen while not sniper or crit boosted?
You just need to max out your Negative Status Effect Resistance, then you don’t have to worry about these.
2:56
So, I watched shounic this very morning and he mentions that only Spy's weapons were coded to remove the disguise upon attacking. That might be connected
14:00
The fact that this happens, may be caused by the fact that Vaccinator's bubbles don't require Medic to keep healing the same patient, unlike other Über-type status effects, which do.
Probably, when deciding wether to stop this type of effects, game checks for _breaking_ of medibeam, instead of checking if the player is being _healed_ .
Not sure, since I'm not a game developer.
Most likely. The effects of other ubers instantly wear off (or in stock's case, swap to the separate wearing off state we saw here) whereas the vaccinator shield lasts its full duration on any target given it, with the only exception seeming to be the vaccinator user themself if they were to swap off the vaccinator mid-use.
Addcond 31 is from the TF2 Beta if I recall correctly, there was a test medi-gun that would give the target mini-crits instead of healing them.
I have to wonder why it took until the 80s for the blast jumping "status" to be added.
what
@@frinpi7473 as in the status effect only got added after addcon 80+
Probably because it was added alongside the weapon that looks if you're blast jumping. (Direct Hit)
Before that, there was no reason to keep track if a player is blast jumping or not
Probably because all the other effects associated with blast jumping simply checked if you were airborne and took explosive damage at some point while airborne.

(I think)
Imagine a dispenser killing in game 12:25
27:32 as a pyro main i absolutely love this effect
The thing with disguises is that the removing when you fire is a thing specific to spy’s weapons and are each programmed to have that property. It’s weird that it is like that, but that’s how it is.
16:06 I assume this effect finally saw use in that new Halloween map with giant players in it. I haven't played the new maps so I'm not sure but... cool to see that put to use.
Quite an exquisite amount of afflictions to the state of the player character within the video game team defense fortress the second released by the company valve upon the tenth day within the tenth month of the year of 2007
imagine there was a sapped unusual effect on items like the Bot Dogger
Misread this as sappers getting an unusual effect
imagine firing 9 rockets at a pyro and still losing
8:25 oh so THAT's what Soundsmith meant by "condition 32" in the Big Earner Mann's Guide!
4 SECONDS AGO ON A REFRESH NICE
This is a really good video btw well done!
Nice!

Advanced way of saying “first.”
@@Constipated_Pikachu They are evolving
@@danoob2399 lmao yes.
I feel like this video's primary purpose is to show off how frankly jank the spaghetti that is TF2's code can be in relation to status effects.
Budha mode status is like focus sash from Pokemon
Spy being disguised as a dispenser is the most horrifying thing
Whenever I wanna go on a power trip, I go on offline mode and addcond 52, 56 and 72
Actually and surprisingly informative and structured for something so niche. Deserves a like 100%
iirc, undisguising only happens when any of the spies weapons are 'fired', including his gun or knife. Other classes can't use those weapons, so the disguise is not removed.
Jarate removed it
i love this channel so much i've discovered slender fortress and zombie escape and i had a lot of fun, all because of this channel
The reason why you don’t remove your Uber disguise is on spy slot 1 or 2 need to have been used to remove it but on other classes you use slot 3 which isn’t allowed to remove disguises
Which would explain why using jarate on sniper got rid of it
I have found that when you taunt with the bonk effect to go in third person, you stay in third person until the bonk wears off either from removing with command or drinking it as scout
Knowing the last effect was added due to a single player being too good at the game mode. DEMO KNIGHT TF2
That dispenser is a spy!
I can tell you put a lot of time into this, kudos
Man,
I really love these videos
8:06 probably a special effect used for robots in MVM, like the mini crit soldiers in a few missions
Samwiz and spaceguyonline posted almost in the same hour of the same day. A blessing from the lord.
the mannpower conditions can be dependent on if the server is powerup mode or not. The precision powerup gives double damage to sniper rifles and the regen powerup actually works if it is.
16:00 Oml that's Crasher's effect wow!
that starting animation of the tf2 logo spinning had a cool optical illusion in it
Speaking of Addcond 96, one funny quirk it had was the fact that it allowed pretty much all weapons that shoot bullets to basically have the bullet trail when firing, effectively turning every hit-scan weapon into a railgun, sadly it was patched eventually...
...for Revolvers, SMGs and the Shortstop as some testing I did a few weeks back showed.
Based DPPt soundtrack
14:13 I believe the vaccinator shields are handled separately from the actual healing, and this is why. The other effects update upon you having a new source of healing, thus detecting no more source for their charge and wearing out. The vaccinator's effect will always last whatever duration it was applied with even if the source stops healing the recipient (the exception of course being if the medic who self applied it swaps off their vacc), so when it's applied I suppose without that time specified it just never ends it's effect.
Pokemon needs some catching up here, they need a good 100 more now
13:32 I assume either this or 18:47 is what gets used when merasmus forces all the teams into a lineup before rolling a random effect to fight with. Since everyone does the thriller taunt while that sets up, I'd figure it's the game forcing you to taunt (always being the thriller) and the effect just stops you from doing any others so you can't interrupt it.
I belive that with the classes being able to attack with melee has to do with the fact that spy can sap without having his disguise removed. It could be very possible that the spy just has his knife as his secondary and his sapper is the actual melee, which in return lets anyone else use melee just fine without any problems.
I feel like the dispenser spy disguise would probably be a Invis-watch replacement affect maybe?
- Making you immobile when "cloaked" with a bit of a damage resist so you seem legit
- maybe, when an enemy is near you, you either do one of [if not both]:
• A) Make dispenser sounds and have the dispenser beams come off of you connecting to the enemy team.
• B) "Heal" enemies at either an extremely reduced rate or drain enemy health at a slow rate (say 1-2 dps, healing yourself).
- You would also have the "looking at hud" saying you are a random enemy engineer's dispenser.
Or this could be a sapper replacement where the first building you are sapping, would become disguised as, when crouched (the original building becoming cloaked like an enemy spy. Enemy engineers can "bump" into them and see their silhouette, while the engi's teammates would walk through the building still). When the sapped building dies, your disguisable building would be changed to the next on your next crouch. But if you are already disguised and the building dies, you are no longer disguised (revealing your spy wearing a disguise mask with the original building on it, as a fun joke)
Yo finally someone makes a ehole video about em
Bro the day before this got uploaded, I learnt about the addcond and wondered what they all did, this is a coincidence
Top tier quality’s video
The Dispenser Disguise looks promising, it's quite unique to be honest.
I just got into addcond comands before this video showed up lol. Good to know more info on them.
i think the reason the disguised effect only disappears on spy is because he has a different way to check for melee due to backstabs
your scout is fly
What I find more interesting over the status effects, is the sort of logic Source engine seems to be built with.
Status effect may or may not apply all of the expected effects, along with not too much in reusing of said effects.
This implies the Source Spaghetti monster is real, and needs to be fixed.
ngl, the spy effect where he changes the robots to be on the red side would be so freaking good if it was possible
and it would make spy much much more useful
I mean just make it so he can only convert the small robots instead of the giant ones and there we go
0:42 team fortress the second killed me
19:23 what do you mean by 5 times damage attack? I'm pretty sure crits just overwrite the strength powerup, unless they updated how it works. The crit exemption was only added in november 2020 i'm pretty sure, since it used to boost it to 6*.
Crits deal 3x damage and strength or whatever power up I was talking about at the time adds 2x damage. Adding to a total of 5x damage if they were to be combined, they aren't which is what I said however minicrits are giving a 2.35x boost
@@SpaceGuyOnline they didn't 'add' the multiplier, because that's not how math works. When you had both, a rocket did 90x3x2 = 540 damage i.e. 6x90, not 5x.
The Kreigsmen approve this message
now i want a dispenser disguise for spy, that would be epic
3:01 it doesnt decloack because you're attacking with something that isnt a knife or a revolver
you can get the same effect if the spy somehow got a weapon he wasnt supposed to use like any other melee in the game
Save for the fact that it did decloak with jarate
Thank you algorithm for bringing me here
The last effect is just the "Solarlight effect"
Valve on their way to add the 400th critboost effect into the game:
You and a certain UA-camr called Cosmonaut variety hour. Have the exact same energy but with different topics.
Egregious job 👍
This stuff kinda highlights how spaghettified TF2s code is.
I think a lot of these are just for the system to check if an effect should be canceled or not, but there are so many edge cases.
For instance I think the reason the Soda Popper affect works on all clssses except Scouts because it's possible that the game will actively remove it if he shouldn't be under it's affect, where as the other classes don't have the checks for that status, because it would be a waste of server resources to check for and remove it, since they don't normally have access to it.
I don't know how TF2 is programmed, and I'm not the best programmer so I could be comepletely wrong, but I know it's a possibility.
That makes sense specifically for that example but then you have something like going invisible which doesn't have the same checks in place.
It's not consistently the same checks which is confusing
0:45
You know... I guessed 65.
I was quite literally, half right.
Thank you
8:25 actually the big earner gives the speed boost on kill, not backstab, its the kunai that trigers its effect on backstab

very interesting
1:06 look ma it's me !
Using this in server is fun
nice video
Couldn’t help but see that the mmph taunt uses the quickfix ubereffect that doesn’t heal.
wow.
Once I get my server running, would you review it? I'm bringing something new to TF2. Warcraft Talent Calculator for TF2!!
I'll check it out
i guess if you get airblasted air control is no more then
Does number 38 also boost your speed by 10% since the games does that on victory? Or is that done elsewhere?
It wouldn't surprise me if they reused the crit-on-kill effect from the KGB for the MVM melee upgrade.
41 likely also applied to the half-zatoichi all the time originally and when below 50 health now.
Did he actually test the vacc statuses to see if they provide the buffs? He did with the other ubers.
The vacc buffs do, the little clip used is me applying all of them at once, they also aren't worn off by touching a dispenser
The clip doesn't show a class actually attacking though, so I wondered how much of the uber's effect is applied here. The QF uber only has some of the effect applied from the AddCon.
source spaghetti at its best
Alt title: TF2 Source Spaghetti Code Exhibition (Feat status effects)
oddly it was very normal for me to play mannpower and pass time with full teams, back when we had valve servers in the browser
Pretty good ye
When the dispencer starts speaking french*
Isn't the last one the one Solar Light got added because he bullied Manpower too hard as Demoknight?
Damn, I was close with my guess, I thought 135.
~ 8:18 might be used for mvm.
This was my initial guess as well, but I recalled that MvM robots do actually have the minicrit particle as they had the buff banner equipped.
Still the most plausible one and could just be worked around to make the effect apparent but it's not one to one in its current state.
Wait a minute, Conditions, Elemental damage, buffs and debuffs?
Is thus a RPG or competitive class-based shooter aesthetic cosmetic market simulator?
We now now why addcond 74 exists!
Um, excuse me (I know this will make me sound) but some of conditions are debuffs and buffs, not Status-Effects/Ailments.
So...does Addcond 70 prevent things like telefrags??
cool
I'm here at 2 views!
