    Me too, I get the rinseless/compound spinoff mist everywhere. I don’t see how Yvan cleans his pad right next to the vehicle in his cart. I keep mine just outside my garage. I went full cordless this year with a 4 piece shinemate cordless polisher set, and a good heater for my garage shop. Having to go outside is my last issue, was thinking about a camping shower curtain to contain the spinoff. This would make it all work. You Better get a hundred. That deal for 2 is great, if I mess up and break one, I have a spare. Great deal. Count me in for 2.

    The refining part of the FDM printing they are doing should be pretty easy id think so you get less lines. I do it all the time. There are also other materials that may be stronger. of course cost changes. But id think ABS should work fine. I think you should add a little something into the cost for you to make something at least any expense in development plus.... Lots of products have various steps of development costs etc. As well as Its a good idea and something I think people would want. Sign me up for one Jeff. Please!

    • @AlexDetails
      @AlexDetails 17 днів тому +2

      @@improvedgarage Thats ok, I think "as is, no warranty" would still get a ton of interest. It doesn't look super fragile or anything, especially with the corner 45 degrees, and at the end of the day could be considered a consumable wear item like pads, towels and most things detailing. just let me know where to send the payment :). Of course, a little more R&D on your part is well appreciated ... I can wait a bit longer, but etsy is ready for you now if it remains as is. 😀

    I’ve found it so much easier to just use Velcro tape on a board and stick all my used pads on it. Has been so much easier and saves me time instead of having to clean one at a time.

    Black or yellow is a good choice and I like the focus on durability . What size screws are they so i can get some stainless screws when mounting ? Looking almost there. It is currently in Chinese new year so that will affect delivery times.

    Honestly, you could prob save money by purchasing a lower-cost printer and producing them yourself. An Ender 3 Plus or a Neptune 3 Max costs around $300, and a spool of PETG filament is about $23. From a single spool, you can likely produce ~25 units (?). You could also prototype without the delays and costs associated with a vendor. If you send me the file, I can calculate the raw filament cost and weight for printing one. Additionally, you could easily design a version in two (or more) interlocking pieces for smaller machines, which I’d find interesting. Creating custom guards with logos or names would also be straightforward.

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  17 днів тому

      an ender 3 isnt large enough to print this. i would need something that could do a 13" print like a bambu

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  17 днів тому +2

      I thought about it, maybe if it took off..
      a printer large enough to do this in one piece is 1600$ then I still need materials and have to deal with the idiosyncrasies of 3D printing.
      50 of these would cost me 600$ and I literally just need to click a button
