    I'm two seconds in and already have learned so much. That shot where you show how much paint is on the brush was so helpful! You really are such a fantastic teacher. I can't thank you enough.

    This tutorial is the best! So many helpful and invaluable comments - use a small amount of paint, don’t rush, short and light touch brushstrokes....the list goes on and on! I am painting this now, and in some areas my colors got ugly and mottled. I let it dry, and I’m having much better luck. Your voice is so soothing, too. 😊

    This is awesome, love it. I love the more detailed paintings. Some artist have really cool reference paintings, then do a tutorial, and rush through it and slop the paint on. You are always so patient and calm. I love painting and learning from you. Thank you Jane.

    WOW, Jane. Everything about this video is just what I needed. Your voice is just so relaxing, your clear and reassuring words bring calm to my heart and soul, the subject of the water lily feels like me, I’m coming up through the mud (severe depression and anxiety) and I’m starting to bloom. I love how again and again you used reassuring words that it’s ALL okay and not to stress about things. Honestly, I cannot thank You enough for this beautiful, calming, relaxing and motivational video. PS, your music is there but not there. It’s absolutely fabulous. Thank You! Much love and appreciation to you from England. 🙏🏻😊🙏🏻😊🙏🏻😊🙏🏻

      Laura, I totally agree with what you've said. It resonates with me too. Have been withJanes group for a few years now but these last few tutorials......can't explain but something has clicked! It feels so different now. Everything about these paintings and Jane's teaching is so 'right' for me now. 🙏🌹 Oh, by the way, I'm from West Wales.

    Because of your statements about levels of paintings/painters I've decides I don't have a level. If I "level" myself I Will probably limit myself in what I will or won't paint. Love this. Water lilies in my fave list. Thank you

    Wow I just painted this pic on the weekend.....I guess I should of waited....didn’t know you were going to paint it too! Lol,I like how you simplified it wish I thought of that ! Great lesson and made me realize I was trying to hard to get all elements from photo in same area instead of picking certain things out.....I’m really going to work on that ,thanks for the lesson !

      You're so welcome! Yes, sometimes painting from a photo can be intimidating because we feel like we have to make it look just like the photo or else we've failed. Nothing could be further from the truth! I hope it goes well for you this time around!

    Love love love this one Jane ♥️ The colors and the subject! Seems like it would be very relaxing to paint too. The lotus is Def one of my favs! The year I turned 30 I chose a lotus tat! ♥️ I would have been here for the live but had a Dr appointment out of town. I'm just getting settled in and watching... Sending love and hugs sweet friend 🤗♥️ See u next week!! (loving these flowers you have been painting,, I hope you paint lots more, they're beautiful!!) 😘

    This is my first time watching you and I absolutely cannot wait to try this painting. You are an excellent teacher, and I love how you take the time to explain and just go slow with it. I'm hooked and subscribed now. 😁. I do have a question, do you spritz's your pallette to keep your paints from drying?

    Such a great teacher!!! Thank you. Do you have any videos that show how to fix a bent canvas? The actual wood part, not the canvas part. I just finished a painting and realized it must have been bent before I started the painting. One corner sticks out pretty far from the wall. :( I cannot sell it unless I can fix it. Thanks for any help - anyone!

      I am wondering if she spritz's her pallette with water, to keep the paints from drying out.

    • @rhonddalesley
      @rhonddalesley 5 років тому

      Ginn j I know that humidity can have an effect, I use a continuous spray bottle and sometimes a small dehumidifier next to my palette which is a homemade stay wet one. I bought a large but shallow food container with a lid, cut some 1” upholstery foam and sheets (2 at a time) of baking parchment to fit inside which really helps keep the paint moist a lot longer whilst using it, it cost me less than £5 to make and it’s awesome!
      Although I wouldn’t use it after so long because it gets too damp, I’ve taken the lid off a month later and the paint is still wet, the only maintenance it needs is to rinse the foam regularly so it doesn’t smell stale.

    Hey thank you so much for your tuto, I love your work and your rythme. I did try this one, I got an obsession painting lately. Anyhow, I found some oil paint, but it's a special one that you can work with water and you don't need all the toxic shit. It's Cobra. But I never worked with oil before. Hahaha god, it is so different, way to mix the color, how it comes out. Couldn't get a nice green, as I found easy on acrylic. So well, full of surprise and discovery. Don't know yet how is going to turn out, Have to let it dry.
    Could you one day, talk about values ???? You said ones, your paint look ugly in a stage, because you don't put the colors right away but you put your values. I don't get that part....
