Enjoyed this one a lot. It was a chance to see the necrons played a lot differently than I play them. Inspires me to try something new.

I love seeing the kind of army the Lamenter player brought. Nicely painted and somewhat fluffy, old marines in transports mixed in with primaris in transports... but yeah, it doesn't have anything going for it rules-wise, simply doesn't work at all unless equally weak opposing army.
Not claiming Luka brought something insane.
I will always pick fluffy over competitive. It's a dice game anyway, conscripts can kill custodes.
This battle went exactly the way I expected after seeing the first word of the title.

Luka, CCB doesn't have bigger range in MWBD that is 8th edition stuff. You shouldn't go by memory until you're absolutely sure about rules. I'm sure that Necron codex just sits on side table waiting for you to check stuff.

Vital intel has the biggest advantage for the player going first. It’s very common for the top of turn player to win by 25+ pts even at a competitive level

absolutely should have charged the razorback with the warriors on your second turn to deny its firepower for a turn, just had to conga like 5 warriors to it

The 'Big Guns Never Tire' rule lets the vehicles fire despite being tied up in melee.
For Blade of Sanguinius, you nominate one of your characters and the opponent gets to pick the character of theirs that has to be killed for the secondary

Every time I see an impulsor, mine included, I question why in the world that it doesn’t have open topped. The entire back is exposed with benches.

@@bagieno420 yeah, but those models are in “storage”. They aren’t exactly able to fire from the looks of it.
You can't roll those necron resurrection rolls together. That makes it incredible more likely they'll get revived.

Is there any way you'd maybe consider using an Ork list of mine? Made it half as a joke and it seemed to be pretty good, so I'd love to see it played by some properly skilled players

“An Imperium Facility located on Necron Architectural Grounds is guarded by a Lamenters Unit so they can uncover important data needed, but then a group of Necrons of the Sautekh Dynasty arrive to reclaim what is rightfully theirs, the facility as the grounds the Lamenters built their facility on is their home, the Lamenters, needing some important data refuse to abandon the facility as a war is declared as the smell of gunpowder, bloody corpses, dead bugs, and burnt bones fill the air. As the battle continues, the leaders of both sides climb to the top of the pyramid to engage in an epic blade battle, that even both of their surviving troops stopped fighting to witness such awesomeness. The Necrons may have reclaimed their home, but for how long cause no doubt the fallen leader of the Lamenters sent word to the Imperium before he was slain.”

The Death Company look sick! Fantastic battle guys.
Thralls do what Flayed Ones do, but cheaper, and, if you have a Cryptek, the unit doesn't take up a slot. They also have a smaller footprint and come with deepstrike as standard. They are almost as resilient too, packing 4 wounds (as opposed to 5 on flayed ones). I run two Crypteks in most games, and I always run with 2 units of thralls for objectives.
What rule do they have that lets them deepstrike?

Hey Luka, I know this isn’t the spot to ask questions but I figured I give it a shot and see what other’s experiences are with this. I just started 40K playing(6 games total) but have been playing AoS/warcry/killteam for over five years now. Since I’ve started playing 40K, I’ve experienced loss in consecutive order playing as space wolves. Now I’m sure I’ve made plenty of mistakes and tactical errors but what do you do when your feeling like throwing in the towel as far as playing goes? I’m sure this is like any one playing a hard video game or boss; you set the controller down and walk away before you end up hating playing altogether but with this game you can’t exactly do that mid-game so how do you deal with it?
Dont get discouraged as another gamer who plays armies that have weak 9th codexs or still using the 8th edition ones! I found building your list with your opponents , that way both of you can have fluff games or try using open war cards or malestrom or even a good ole fashioned fluff narrative game !!
@@BeardsandBolters I like narratives and that would be fun but I know most games are played in matched point and I honestly want to play more of those since it lets you build random lists which is fun for me. I just don’t want to feel like I’m getting babied for these games.
@@williampeck1149 The best way to get better is through adversity! Keep on grinding, learning which units work best in which situations, and you'll eventually gain knowledge on where you need to be with your units a turn or two ahead of time!
It's pretty generic information I'm handing out here, BUT if you really want to continue with matched play this is your best bet. You could ask you opponents to try out their more "experimental lists" that they might not have as much experience with as well.
The Space Wolves can do really well in matched play, you just need to use their Chapter Tactics and Psychic powers to their greatest advantage.
And the most important rule is to always play until the end and get as many points as you can...while attempting to maintain a good attitude at the same time! Haha
@@williampeck1149 I hear you in that case I would knuckle down build a lot of redundancy into your lists. That way your making sure the job gets down and watch more competitive batreps . At the end of the day its a dice game! Cool little trick our channels space wolf player does is have BJorn out in the open with his las cannon and 2 company veterans with storm shields within 3 inches of him out of LOS. Because of the body guard rule you have some cool anti tank that cant be shot at!! Anyway good luck and if your ever in Maryland and want a casual game or to be in a batrep shoot us a message!!
@@lukapavicevic335 I hear you! I still forget to apply shock assault for pretty much most of the combat phases I’ve had. I should be hitting harder in melee but I keep forgetting the rules. I also have limited in stock so I suppose lists will get better after trial and error I suppose.
I always end up forgoing points since most of my stuff gets shot or psybolted off the board before I get too close.

Why do blood angels and successors not run 5-man squads of Vanguard with lightning claws? It's 26 attacks on the charge rerolling wounds with the +1 to wound on top; feels like it should blender anything of equivalent points value.
Love the battle you forgot morale on the tac marines at the end of battle round 3.
I really want to make a canoptek based army but canoptek units are so expensive. Anyone has any tips?

If you want forge world, buy wraith kits and convert them into tomb stalkers/sentinels or acanthrites.

It's so strange for me (stopped playing in 6th) hearing what they've done with reanimation, there used to be so many ways to just cancel it completely to balance out how tanky necrons were even without reanimation.

So if you reanimated you can put them anywhere as long it's cohesive? That's kinda bullshit. They should have to stand where they fell
