I'm a simple man i see Sisters i click. Also even if you can't fail a morale test it is good to throw the dice as on a 1 you get a miracle dice. not sure if you forgot a lot of miracle dice as i assumed some might have been rolled off camera.
When Luka said that the two units couldn't fail their morale test, on the first turn, he should've rolled anyways. You get a miracle die for rolling a 1 on a morale test. The brb states that you take the test if you've taken casualties. Doesn't say that you aren't able to take it if you can't fail the test.
Bruh my mortifiers with Heavy Flamers put in serious work. They've always either killed their target with massive overkill or they've absorbed so much fire from my opponent that the rest of my girls are basically unscathed. 10/10 would recommend them
Mortifires are better becouse the have adeptas soraritas keyword and can advance and charge so you can go 9+6 (for miracle dice) and 2D6 charge with smaller board size they can put some good work.
It's surprisingly easy to do a tight conga line while maintaining the new coherency rules! All you need to do is have every model within 2 inches of two other models!
Both were within the rules, something I've noticed though is that sportsmanship and the spirit of the rules are more important to Luka than the rules themselves, and he is averse to giving himself advantages but isn't super insistent about policing his opponents. I definitely relate, and I will say that's my favorite type of person to play games with.
As far as tailoring with the Cullexus goes, I think there are things in the game like the Cullexus and Icon of Excess that are so specific in their use that you have to tailor with them otherwise they're not worth the risk of taking and being useless.
The statement on what is Mortifiers or Penitent engienes done in the army description is wrong. This is correct: Penitent engines: "piloted" by criminals, often from the Ecclesiarchy. Mortifiers: "Piloted" by repentias who has fled from battle. Anchorites are the ones with coffins, and they are "piloted" by repentia who have betrayed the Sororitas.
When the defiler declared a charge vs the Immolator and the Mortifier, you would not be able to fight at all if you don't make it into close combat with all those targets declared... :S
They know that, the issue wasn't distance it was space, so they retroactively said that the charge was only against the Mortifier instead. It's why they said the it was all fine, as the Immolator's heavy bolter did nothing.
25:05 touching the stairs with the bases would already be enough to be able to see through the terrain piece. Nit neccessary to stay on top of them. This is not only by the rules, it also makes narrative sense. This altar ia relatively open anyway so advancing to the staris should be sufficient to give you a good look into the ruins
Thought the casket represented an anchronite. The difference between pentinent and mortifier is that the later only uses sisters and the former other citizens of the imperium, right?
k, looks like mort are for repentia who fled in the face of combat. Pent engines can be just about anyone including sisters. But the tomb is for Anchorite s. normal Mortifiers are exposed. But rule of cool says the tomb is bad ass
With mortifiers it's a risk-reward unit. If you only use one unit of them they will never pay off. When one unit gets into the thick of melee they always trade up for me. Also, they only work if you are playing an aggressive list. if the rest of your list sits back then the opponent will just gun them down as they are the closest threat. I run three units of mortifiers and two units of repentia in rhinos after one or two turns into the game they have gutted my opponent most of my matches. This is also just my opinion after playing against grey knights, thousand sons, Necrons, knights, and Imperial guard tank company. In the end, they are not an "oh I'll play one and see how they do" type unit. They have to be built around.

I actually really like Mortifiers but I've only really experienced using them in smaller games. When you're at 1000pts and below they can make a very good, very cheap distraction carnifex that keeps your opponent occupied while also allowing your troops to take and sit on objectives. I intend to run them in conjunction with 1 or 2 Exorcists to really put pressure on my opponent, but then again I play Valorous Heart so play more static infantry rather than transports.
Is there a reason that many Thousand Sons players don’t field Forgefiends? I often see Maulers in army lists, but rarely do I see more ranged support in the form of Helbrutes, Forgefiends, or Defilers (though the latter seems a little more common). I am new to 40K and want to start a 1K Sons army and looking through their stat sheets, the above-named units seem strong in 9th Edition. Apologies in advance for my newbiness and a big shout-out to the channel for such great content and sportsmanship! Thanks, guys! ❤️

Occationally I take Mortifiers, they are hands down better than pen engis. I get SO MANY faith dice every round.
Can someone explain to me why they don't disembark their APCs? Isn't it strategically more advantageous that you have extra pieces on the BF that are able to move and hit your enemy, rather than to have one target for them the enemy can focus on? Seems to be smarter to disembar, and shoot with the APC and the disembarked troops at the same time. Or use the APC for "overwatch"?
Spoilers... Would it not have been possible to move the two melta sisters to take the objective at the end of turn 5? They just had to be within 3” of the objective so no trouble being blocked by the cultist. And even if there was they could have just charged the cultist and probably killed it in melee no?

This. Why the mortifier rule where you can make heavy flamers type pistol i think was errata'd to just mention the heavy bolters can become assault.

This is correct:

Mortifiers: "Piloted" by repentias who has fled from battle. Anchorites are the ones with coffins, and they are "piloted" by repentia who have betrayed the Sororitas.
