At 1:09:00, the squad of infantry firing with the Plasma gun, you shouldn't have lost that model that rolled the 1, you have full hit rerolls from "Take Aim!" Solid game, always good to see IG hold their own.
The 1 was on a reroll, though
John has a really cool army. I love his glossy black, and his pylon theme was really cool! I usually root against Necrons, but not this time!

Sentinels don't suffer mortals on 1s, they die instantly. Good report though :) Pylons are super fun

@@SkaredCast trusty imperial machinery! Plasma russes were used to on 1s suffer d6 mortals and not being able to shoot main gun for the rest of the game (it was fixed in codex). One of the reasons I switched into craftworlds since the 9th edition came out - they don't kill themselves while shooting :)
500 points for 2D3 shots.... Hmmmm maybe not. Mind you after looking it up, did he ever fire the 3D6 Tesla Arc shots? How that thing doesn't have a 2+ and quantum shielding is beyond me

Sentinels don't take mortals from supercharge, they are slain on hit rolls of 1.
The manticore is also 2d6 shots

This was a really nice game. That Pylon looked at the TC and said, you call that an Executioner? Watch this.

Pretty sure that Plasmacannons on Sentinels DESTROY the model on a 1. So... that first turn, 2 would've died.
As a guard player, can confirm.
It saddens me that the big 40k channels don't have people that actually know the rules for the unloved factions anymore.
I cant seem to find what happened to the Colonel from TTT either.
The Colonel lives several hours drive away from where the guys have the studio these days, as far as I know. So the logistics just don't really work anymore.

You guys want to double check your codexes, Under Fast Attack Hellhound, that is actually a Leman Russ Executioner which I think is also your tank commander. The other model looks like a Chrimera? (Not sure, I don't own that model.) This video is from January so someone else probably already pointed this out.

Someone with whom I’ve been playing 40k with and I have been having a heated debate about a rule since the introduction of 9th edition and I was hoping you could shed some light for us. The rule in question is about obscuring terrain. The way I read the rule is that it doesn’t matter what the physical item used for this terrain is, as long as it has the obscuring keyword, it can’t be fired through (unless you’re inside the foot print of the structure). In my opinion, this allows people to use anything they have lying around the house as terrain. The issue is with games workshop terrain pieces. Some have grating that you can physically see through. I feel like this just adds flavor to the piece. The person I’ve been playing with claims that line of sight trumps everything. If I can see the head of my Necron unit through a tiny hole, allowing him to shoot through or be shot at, what is the point of key words? In summation, does the physical appearance of the terrain piece have any bearing, or is it just the key word used to describe it?

AFAIK 40k doesn't actually use true line of sight, which means that grates, windows, or any other holes in terrain are irrelevant when it comes to actually determining line of sight. If the obstacle is said to be obscuring, it blocks line of sight through it, period.
Obscuring blocks all line of sight unless you're inside the terrain piece, in which case it's true LOS.
Alright, so I'm super late to the party here, so I don't know if anyone's gonna pick up on this, but by what rule do Skari's LR Demolishers get 2D6 shots with their Demolisher Cannons (38:18+)?
To clarify, he's firing the LRD with Melta's at the pylon, uses the "Hail Of Fire" Strat, which makes random number of shots max shots, but rolls 12d6, which would imply he gets 2d6 shots with it base.
What are those mission cards? Ive never seen them before

Man, if there's one thing you can rely on with MWG, it's messed up/forgotten rules. Been an issue with the channel since it's inception and quite blown away that it's never been fixed.
The pylon actually pivots, that's rad. Also that joke about good dental was nice lol.
Is Skari an employee at MWG? Been away from their stuff for a few years now, so I'm not in the know.
With the Frequency he's been showing up, probably is now.
This was such a fun game to watch, could have gone either way until that turn 4! Those pylons looked very cool on the table and help tell really good stories!

Can someone explain the first 18shot from leman Russ ; should be D6 +D6 but Instead it's 6+6 cuz hail of fire // re roll 1 cuz tank order but I dont get how it went from 6+6 shots to 18 can someone explain?
Hail of fire strategem is turret weapon only Ithink.
And those sentinels dont get mortals for rolling ones on overcharged plasma. They just die.

The success of this campaign greatly impacts the speed at which we create other factions. What would you want in terms of aesthetics for another faction?
