Dude they have plenty of good mods that are free. Yes expanasion cost money but ithas story and real content. This game is nothing but farming materials with barely any story so of corse its free. Whoa bug bunting never did that before in no mans sky.😂 i like both games but theres good reasons why stuff is free here. Its not real quest and story here.

No there's no great story but the PEOPLE put WORK into it. More than ANYTHING Liethesda done recently or apparently for the last EIGHT YEARS.

No "regular" pass and "special(bought) pass. You do it and get them or don't and don't. No buying your way through it. No buying the rewards. You want them, you actually HAVE TO work for them. I'm bummed , I've missed a few buttt I'll...live. NMS , I like their...attitude.

Now add Gas Giants. Let us just cruise through a planet without being able to land....no Gas Planets is the only unrealistic thing of a space game. Hello Games are officially my favorite creators as what they continuously do for free to improve their product is amazing.
I haven't gotten the chance to play it yet but this might be my favorite update so far. I love NMS but the planets rarely feel as immersive as I'd like them to be and this will definitely help with that. Can't wait to see what they change next.

I've tried my hardest to find worlds similar to the one in the trailer. You physically cant. They're all SLIGHTLY different but not really. We need more variety in terrain, which is really hard to do with procedurally generated worlds.
The constant new updates is amazing but it means everytime is stop playing or take a break the save i was playing becomes old so i like to create a new save but there is so many updates so its hard to keep making new ones hahaha i should just stick to my main one tbh

My perfect planet went from straight gradient grass with trees to round grass with shrooms and rocks 😢 but everything else looks super cool, oh well gonna go on the hunt for the perfect planet again.
This update changes so much it makes me curious what Part 2 will change. My prediction is that ocean biomes will get updated in Part 2

Most excited about seeing survival bob videos again with this update.
The water has a clear grid (lattice) visible. I hope they fix that. I also some of that effect in the clouds. My guess is that they have some subtle bugs in their renderers. Yes, it already looks neat (although with a latent pattern) and hopefully will improve when they fix the bugs. For anyone technically minded, Fourier analysis will detect the effect I am mentioning.
Im gonna be honest. I was incredibly happy about this update. I've been playing almost 2 full days now, i havent found anything new. All ive noticed is wind pattern and TINY TINY waves on bodies of water. Theyre really not even waves it's just a bumpy texture. Water doesn't interact with anything you just clip straight through it.
Nothing ive seen looks anything even close to the trailer and now i dont know what to think.
Would be wild if LNF ends up being a prequel to NMS, before space exploration. With all the stuff from LNF they seem to be adding into NMS, I wonder if all the different races will be added over time as well, so that we end up with dozens (maybe more) of "aliens" to interact with that all came from the "homeworld" of LNF.
EDIT: Got myself a giant cricket today, and yes, they ARE rideable. The ones I encountered were enormous, I might tinker with eggs and see if I can get one to Diplo size.
Content idea: just repeat everything from the game website, but that's it. Nothing original or new.

Fluid simulation YES ! This will bring planets to life. Rivers perhaps ?

I hope they allow the other build parts to be water tight like the regular ones. underwater stone would be nice if it was dry inside.

I managed to grab that incinerator after Jason Plays gave the heads up, and I only recently got up the nerve to try and move it to a different weapon! I was so afraid that uninstalling it would make it devolve into one of the common weapons or disappear or something. I moved it to my Atlas staff and even though there aren't any upgrades for it it's still one of my favorite weapons.

Well it is either Microsofts last update on the 16th or the game itself but there are now graphic glitches with textures especially water. There was non prior to the Xbox update on the Series X.

Bit of a mixed blessing since all the Paradise planets I had bases on are no longer Paradise planets.
I built my base where the water line is a few inches above the floor of a dome base. It’s incredibly visually glitchty. Looks super glitchy being inside the base. So i just destroyed it and left the planet in attempt to forget my failure.

there is 4 new helmets to get from the giant bug one other and all the armor is gained from the upcoming expedition

I recently moved from Switch to PC and I'm having a hard time getting into my new save in any meaningful way. If anyone out there has attempted the treacherous process of transferring a Switch save to PC let me know if you had any success.

I love that they just keep improving this game. It is a rare thing to see in the video game world. But I hope this brings in new players, as well as brings some veterans back again.

Just found a planet saying vile brood detected. Found a grub which you collect then crush to then fight a brood mother. Got a bug helmet as a reward.

@SurvivalBobGaming it was my daughters save in creative mode so can't say how tough the fight is itself lol. It had a big red health bar with a yellow bar aswell and a few other smaller bugs with it.

hopefully I'll run into less 'orange only' paradise planets. I swear there are pink ones, blue ones, purple ones, green ones, but I usually just find ones that are orange with an orange ocean.

@@SurvivalBobGaming funny thing, checked one of my bases that were on a purple paradise planet and found it turned into an orange grassy planet on me. XD good thing it was basically an empty shell of a building with nothing but a teleporter and a landing pad. I found another in a neighboring system. only thing the new one doesn't have are floating disc islands like the other world. the rings make up for that though.
So they're taking some of the things they're learning with the Light No Fire and adding it to NMS. Good deal.
I can’t wait to see how and if the wind affects us and jetpacking will the wind make it harder for the jetpack to work against the world and use more fuel or what so many questions 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Don't know when they changed it, but the quests seem to work much better for a multiplayer start now.
Start together, ships are in the same crash site, all quest locations thus far have been same locations.
