Great review Richard. Looks like a nice rifle, especially for the price point. It's nice to see you back doing reviews.
Thanks William. Yes, great rifle and plenty more reviews in the pipeline!
Good to see you back doing reviews, hopefully more to follow....
Hi there. Yes, plenty on their way. Thanks for watching.
Great review Richard , nice to see you back doing the reviews 👍👍
Thanks Artie. Plenty more to come...
Great review Richard, These budget guns are getting better and better, putting pressure on the big names 🙂
Thanks Peter. They sure are. The one thing I can't test - at this stage - is how good a new on the market rifle will be after a few years. Time will tell!
Hi Richard,
Nice to see you again, and I wish you well with your new website.
This JTS pcp looks a great piece of kit and reminds me a lot of my BSA R12, especially around the biathlon cocking lever area and the stock
I love my R12 and wouldnt part with it, however it comes down to what the individual wants and requires.
If a son or daughter wanted to get into pcps or someone wanted to clear some nuisance rats or pigeons who didn't want to spend the earth, then I'd humbly say this rifle would be fantastic. The groupings speak for themselves.
Being budget, it allows more people to access pcp ownership and enjoy a great sport, and be part of a community.
Personally, I'd say well done JTS for what they produced. It looks like a great rifle, and if it allowed me to own a quality pcp and everything that comes with it, I'd be well chuffed! Thank you, Rich, for a great review.
Hi Ian. Nice to hear from you. Yes, lots of similarities with the R12. Time will tell though !
Excellent video and excellent review Richard 👍🏻
Thanks Simon.
Great review and something else to consider when getting a new gun on a budget.
Thanks Iwan and you could do a lot worse...
FANTASTIC review , and great to have you back .. I must say , on looks alone that rifle is a winner , super price , good accuracy , and a real looker for the traditionalist .. and ( according to the Mrs ) your not too bad yerself ..
😂 Get your missus down to Specsavers soon!
Excellent video Rich, thanks.
That’s a cool looking rifle too.
Thanks John. Hope to see you soon...

Looks great value for money
An excellent review Richard, so informative with nothing glossed over 👍
This certainly looks a good air rifle especially when considering the price. Two mags as well, wish other companies would do that while keeping the overall the price sensible. The only omission that I can see is the lack of a shot counter in the mag.
Thanks Nick. Yes, a shot counter would be a great addition. Thanks for watching.
Great review 👏🏾
Thanks very much Wayne.
Love your work ❤
Thanks very much!
Good to see you back Richard👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎
Been a while Alan!
I'm blaming you for the loose shot outside the ragged hole - last pellet laziness LOL. Nice to have you back on the reviews Richard, looks a fabulous rifle for the price. ATB MMMD
Ha! Wonky pellet, gust of wind, the dog ate my homework. I have plenty of excuses!
I like bottles of whisky in pubs hence I will like this rifle 😂
I got one in 22 very good gun very good for hunting
I bet it is Nigel.
I've been looking at these but not seen much info about them I'm seriously thinking of buying one they look really good quality for the price. Thanks for the video .👍👍
You're welcome. Thanks for watching. It certainly seems like great value for money.
Nice explanation of what a regulator is, or does!
Thanks. Funnily enough, most things I explain come down to alcohol!
I’ve found with my airacuda max that it seems to prefer the harder types of pellets ( qys ,norica ft,h+n ftt and h+n barracudas) and mine is a177 ,
...nice gun, nice vid...😀
Thanks Jan...
That rifle is $419 here in the States which is a very decent price. And for Leslie, the shot count max is 40 per fill in our version but i would expect more over there since you're limited to 12 FPE?
Hey, which gun out of this one and walther rm8 would you reccomend for a first pcp? Thanks for your time.
A friend told me the music is very similar to that of 1970's porn films. Nice review Richard !
Airguns is my second career 😆
Great review Richard , do you know if they will be doing FAC version at higher pressure???
Hi Neil. Thanks very much. Not that I am aware of. If I find out I'll let you know...
@@alphamilitaria2756 thanks 👍
Great review Richard. What a fantastic gun for the money.Lovely looking, regulated and with a nice magazine system.I think it’s put a cat amongst the pigeons Richard.
Atvb👍🏻👍🏻😉
Thanks Justin. And yes, I think you're right...
Did you shoot it with a moderator on? I've heard that some people have experienced issues with accuracy once they have fitted it with a moderator.
Hi K. Yes, I tried a few shots (off camera) with a silencer and it was fine.
These remind me of a half price HW100KT
I watch all your videos just want a bit of advice about scopes I have a nikko sterling diamond and a mamba scope and find the crosshairs to fine for my hairs I require a scope with a thicker crosshair something like the the nikko sterling’s mount masters but a bit better quality . Yours in sport des
Hi Des. Yes, I know what you mean. Unfortunately it does seem to be something of a trait for scope reticles to get finer and finer. Have you used the illuminated reticle feature? That helps thicken things up a little and you can increase/decrease the illumination (thickness) to suit.
I heard that using a silencer is not recommended as it effects the accuracy of the shots. Is that true ?
Hi. I've not heard that. I don't see any issue with using a silencer assuming of course there's no clipping issue (which could happen with any rifle).
is the regulator adjustable to reach the 12 flb limit ?
Hi Colin. Rifles sold in the UK will be set at 12 ft/lbs so no adjustment necessary.
Wish they would fix the silencer issue Id have one in a shot but being unable to use a silencer makes it useless to me.
Hi Matthew. I tried out a silencer as I've heard of some people having an issue but it worked just finr for me, albeit I only put a couple of dozen pellets through.
@Alpha Militaria some sellers online actually say in the sales blurb not to use a silencer, a real shame as it looks an absolute cracking rifle and I was dead set on getting one.
@@matthewoconnell4700 To be fair, the shroud does a pretty good job and would probably suffice in most hunting situations.
I have one and I have to say its fantastic. The build, use and accuracy is more than a cut above. The batch that had an issue with the moderator adaptor being slightly out will have a replacement part soon.
@@Roadsterboy500 yeah I heard the same about 3 months ago, still no part :) I've bought a HW100 instead, a shame as I would of 100% bought one of these if not for the silencer issue.
Beautiful rifle, thanks Richard.
Do you think it would be possible to review the Remington Express Compact?
Thanks!
Thanks Steven. We reviewed the Remington Express (not the compact version) a little while ago. I hope it helps ua-cam.com/video/UXR9fPM7F3Q/v-deo.html
This is a cracking gun which is massively let down by the moderator issue which affects accuracy massively otherwise it is an extremely accurate gun.I am waiting for the new adaptor which Lee Enfield the importers have had produced to hopefully remedy the issue. I have never known of a rifle to be so affected by the fitting of a moderator.
Did you ever get the adaptor? This is the first I’ve heard of it and would love to fit a suppressor. Fitted a weihrauch .22 can on my .177 and the baffle strikes were like nothing I’ve ever seen.
@@samueljames8026 I got what amounted to a threaded spacer, screw the spacer on first and then the moderator after, same result.POI changed dramatically.I have heard rumours of another fix being in the pipeline, possibly JTS producing a silencer that works being sent to those who have a gun but that has gone quiet. The JTS people in America are saying they have a fix on the way and it has no connection to whatever the importers in the UK are doing. In my opinion to hunt with or shoot in your garden you need a moderator
What scope mount is that?
I believe its a set of MTC Optics adjustable mounts.
Its a shame there isnt many left handed pcps, its a pretty big turn off when you are forced ti awkwardly cock a gun with your non dominant hand over and over again.
I wish more companies would make it so you can swap the cocking lever/bolt to the other side or have the option to purchase a left handed version its very rare to find a left handed pcp
Were the sights extra
Hi John. The rifle in the video retails for £549 not including the scope. The Shooting Party (shootingparty.uk) sells a package that includes a scope, mounts, silencer and bipod for £729. I hope that helps.
This may be a good review, but ask yourself why did he do this without a moderator on it? Yes, accuracy goes out the door and you get a lot of clipping. Sadly JTS has not solved this issue. Buyer be concerned!
Hi Karel. If you'd have asked, I'd have told you. I didn't use one because the rifle doesn't come with one. That's the only way I know how to test rifles 'out of the box'. I hope that allays any conspiracy theories! I'd understood the issue was being addressed.
@@alphamilitaria2756 Sadly the "fix" was a washer-like spacer and things just got worse. Your test is and remains fair.
So why does it say made in china on it?
Components from China. JTS based in Katy, Texas. I hope that helps.
If its from texas then why does it say made in china on the rifle?
This might come as a surprise but it's because components are manufactured in China. JTS is a US airgun company based in Katy, Texas. Look them up - jtsairguns.com.
Lescommentaires sont trops lomgs
Sorry if its more than you can concentrate on.
Just found out why you don’t give shot count information, the importers claim 30+ shots!!!!. Pathetic. I also see the the importers advise on their website that you shouldn’t buy this gun if you want to use a moderator!!, it seems they are all faulty!. Do not buy this gun.👎🏻
Oh dear Lesley, someone's had a bad morning. I think you're confusing FAC power and 12 ft/lbs. If you can't be nice please do everyone a favour and watch a different channel.
You guys never seem to give any information on shot count, am I the only shooter who needs to know this?. Another 20 minutes of my life wasted.
If you'd asked nicely Lesley I'd have been happy to tell you.
You need open your mouth and say how far you are shooting before you start.
Oh Fabio. I'm afraid I'm going to have to make you look a little silly now. I have no doubt you thought you were being witty and cutting with your comment. Unfortunately though you simply came across as rude and ignorant. You see I clearly state the distance I was shooting over within the first few seconds of being on the range (15:26). In future, if you're not sure, just ask.
Ello there big rich can you do more F.a.c rifles please mate 🙏
Hi there. Yes, it would be good to try one or two more. In fact I have an idea for a comparative video which I'm hoping to get filmed soon...
