🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more

Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

Great video, Ross. 8:28 Wow, nice to see a 158 and double 195s arrived at the same time that was a good shot there haha. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks Arnold, I was very lucky to see that combination needless to say that I am happy with it 😃
Starlife Ur the best yt
Ikr

Ey Up, as we say up ere in Yorkshire. Some former ScotRail and Avanti West Coast I see in action. Wonderful action at Bradford Interchange :-)

My birthday is tomorrow too
I hope you had and have a great birthday both! 😃👍🏻
Great train video at Bradford interchange Ross
Thank you Train Fan 👍🏻
Has the 221 GC still got tilting mechanism?
No i might be wrong tho
Zuuu may know more than me on this. My understanding was that it has been isolated but not removed entirely like on CrossCountry.
Class 221 goes brrrrrrrrr
Class 222 goes HOOOOOOOOOONK swish swish swish swish swish swoooosh
Don’t forget a bit of chain smashing noise in there too! 🤣
@@StarlifeStudios yes
Class 195 do be going SCREEEECH EEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Question! Now Avanti west coast now have the new 805’s from Euston to Holyhead! I wonder if grand central will be updating 221’s too?
Great vid Ross 😃
I’m not sure what the long term plan for GC is but the fleet of 180s is extremely (understatement) unreliable. They desperately need a new fleet and at the moment Voyagers are the only option for this. I suspect a long term decision will be made once the Grand Union rolling stock has been obtained.
I guess some 222s could be an option when they get booted off of the MML
Nice location 👍 Wonder what will happen to the class 221 after they come off lease from Grand Central. I think the grand Central livery suits the class 221s quite well. I've been so busy these last few months I haven't had a chance to watch all of your videos, I need to catch up 😂. Thanks for a great video. Look forward to next Sundays one, as well as binge watching all of the other locations I missed when I have time.
Maybe XC?
@@JacobsTrainVideosthe Avanti Voyagers will go to CrossCountry
@@maimadha they need as many as they can have
221 have just gone to GC 180’s should go ALL THE REST OF AVANTIS 221 are with XC now
@@JacobsTrainVideos Yeah maybe its a possibility, i don't think cross country are getting all of avanti's 221s anyway. According to Wikipedia the current 221s are divided between the three operators, Avanti West Coast (18 sets), CrossCountry (24 sets) and Grand Central (2 sets). Now Avanti's are coming off lease only 12 are going to Cross country. This leaves six sets without current futures.
Grand Central will probably use their sets until 2025 or 2026, until reliability if the class 180s improves. I'm curious why cross country haven't taken on the other 6 221s from Avanti. Its possible they will in the future, maybe. So yes the 2 grand Central 221s could go to cross country but the future for them us really unknown at the present
Bro starlife ur actually the best yt ever
Great video as always! 👍
21:52 Driver's a legend 🫡
great video would love to see a video at Horley (BML) in the future
information from wikipedia:
Bradford Interchange is a transport interchange in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, which consists of a railway station and bus station adjacent. The Interchange, which was designed in 1962, was hailed as a showpiece of European design and was opened on 14 January 1973. It is served by the majority of bus services in the city centre, while the railway station, which is one of two in the city centre (along with Bradford Forster Square), is served by Northern and is also the terminus for Grand Central services from London King's Cross.
On 4 January 2024, a large chunk of concrete was found to have fallen from the Interchange's underground car park ceiling, situated directly underneath the Interchange's bus station. As a result, the bus station was closed on 5 January, whilst survey work was conducted to repair the affected concrete and the bus station's structure. As of 22 March it was announced that the bus station will be closed for a further 3 months until June to allow more extensive surveying work to take place, and to do further repairs to the station. All bus services starting/terminating at or moving through the bus station have been redirected to over 40 alternative bus stops around the city, to areas such as Market Street, Bridge Street and Hall Ings, all of which are within reasonable walking distance from the Interchange. The Interchange's train station remains open with rail services and ticket kiosks unaffected.
As always..👍👍
Fantastic video, lots of 195s but a nice sprinkling of older diesel stock as well 😀
What do you think of the Grand Central Super Voyagers? Thanks for watching 👍
Love em
Great video
Bit rare to see the ex avanti voyagers now running with grand central Ross
Nice video ross and can you upload a wolverton video again because I wanna see you taking class 805 with curve.
Excellent video Ross!! A good mix here nice to see the 150s and 158s still about after the 195s taking over much of their duties especially the 150s!! Nice to see the voyager at the start as well! Are GC gonna repaint the middle coaches as well or just keep it at the 2 end ones?
Thanks! Sometimes 150s appear on the Huddersfield and Manchester Victoria diagrams but these are usually swapped later in the day. It’s a nice station and the staff are fairly happy with trainspotters. I’m not sure what the short term plan with the Voyager livery is, I believe they will be returned to their owner later this year in this state.
@@StarlifeStudios Ah interesting, any idea what will happen to them maybe XC?
nice
Thank you! 🙂
Wow there's a lot of squeaky 195s in this video
You have to do Stratford Station
You should do Aylesbury on the CML
I never knew grand central has 221s
I thought 180s did the majority of Grand Central services
They do, Voyagers can only operate Bradford services. Due to the dire state of the 180s, Voyagers often take over.
The class 158 claggy units aren’t they
MY EYES 2:41
I don’t mind it too much but it annoys me more that the centre coaches have no branding. It looks odd. On the bright side, at least that actually put the numbers on these units (unlike the 180s!)
YEEES I knew you can do something way more better -Ovalo
Voyagers look so hot in that grand ctrl livery
I dont like that gc 221 livery
True...
I do!
