🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more

Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

Hello Everyone. I'm really proud of this week's video and you are certainly in for a treat if you love Class 37s - Turn the sound up and enjoy the bass boosted thrash!
Thank you so much for your support. 😃
Your videos are the best

Hey starlife i live your vids please come to arbroath or carnoustie there both great train spotting spots
@@Trainzat Starlife will do Arbroath and Carnoustie when he's in Scotland
@StarlifeStudios what camera do u use or like, recommend
Wow my home station! Thank you so much for doing Derby!
My pleasure! 😃
A great video as always. I find the 37/6s equally hideous and beautiful with their plain flat front, and I don't know which lol. As much as I love the sunshine, you can't go wrong with a rainy session either!
I’m inclined to agree with you. When 37s were more common pre-2010, I remember hearing many enthusiasts complain that 37s that had modified fronts didn’t interest them. I don’t hear this has often now since a 37 is fairly rare anyway! I do think 37608 is better with its horns in the nose though and at least that space is used. Thanks 👍🏻
Lovely Video Ross! You finally did Derby!
Second time for me here at Derby (last in 2019 - ua-cam.com/video/PsKhk_3zpZQ/v-deo.html) and things have changed a fair bit especially the EMR Regional traction. I of course had to plan a few test trains too since it’s what Derby is known for 👍🏻🙂 Thank you.
On the same day I was trainspotting at burton on trent!
35:40 I love it when turbostars sound like that

Some nice rainy day cover on platforms 4/5, excellent video as always.
The cover came in useful too.. last time I came (in 2019) they were still building this extension. Thanks for your kind comments Spectrum 😃
Ngl your vids are the best
Thank you Girly Gal! 😃 I’m glad you enjoy them. 👍🏻
Nice video
Thanks 😃
The lovely sounds of the 37s
Absolutely! 😃
Still weird to think that Derby is no longer my local station have many fond memories of journeys to and from Derby station
I remember when the Voyagers and Meridians were introduced and remembering how terrible they were! It a regular for me to wait here for a Virgin Train hoping it was a HST! How things change.. Thanks for sharing James. 👍🏻
Can’t wait to see the new East Midlands Railway Class 810 IETs in service from next year. The Class 222 should go to CrossCountry or South Western Railway.
Hopefully the class 222,s are going to Cross-country as you rightly predicted 😂
Let’s be frank, the 810s have a mountain to climb. The 222s are by far the best of the Voyager series and it will take a lot to overcome them. From what I’ve seen of the 810s, they look the part and have the potential to make the MML great. I am fearful of them only being 5 car trains though.. longer trains are needed especially if EMR expects to serve destinations further afield again such as Leeds and York. Time will tell where the 222s will go!
@StarlifeStudios I remember when the class 222,s were brand new, I believe Hull trains used them at first, but I could be wrong
I think the Meridians should either go to Cross Country or Transpennine Express.
The EMR Meridians 222s are going to Scotland
A fantastic video. Thank you very much 😊
Glad you enjoyed it Love Five! 👍🏻
Great video. Sad to see 43s leaving service. Its an end of an era
Hello Starlife, I was wondering about a station suggestion for you, might not be the most amazing station but you could visit Hampden Park (East Sussex), I would recommend you go on the day of a Class 73/9 test train which is usually on a Saturday once a month. You also get trains pass through the station twice as they have to go into Eastbourne station to reverse before coming back out, sometimes calling twice! Traction would be 377s, 387s, 171s and maybe the Test Train 73/9s. Just a suggestion but might be quite a good station to film at.
Great video.
Thanks Shadow! 😃
Awesome video
Thanks James! I appreciate your kind comments 😃
fantasic video, Brent Cross West just opened so that could be one of your next journeys! :D
I’ve got it planned in for a visit in the new year. It’s one of very few on the MML South where there is no fast line barriers.
Very nice
Great vid love the test train
Which one? 😉
@@StarlifeStudios omg you replied but all
Loved the colas 37!
There are a few class 37s in this video 👍🏻 I was really lucky to see them!
A wonderful station
Nice video!! Can you do Nottingham next!😊
You should do lineside spotting instead of just stations, such as Linslade or Worting junction
Hi Jake, I have previously but some locations just dont show the same level of interest. I have two on my channel: Linslade Curve and High Speed 1. Thanks.
Please do Tulse Hill next it's my local station
Hello, I filmed at Tulse Hill last year - ua-cam.com/video/V7tAIkNfBFo/v-deo.html
@@StarlifeStudios Yayyy you replied and I'll check the video out!
Amazing video do you have any gwml videos coming up?
I’ve just finished the last upload from my latest GWML series at Bristol Temple Meads. I don’t have anything from that region to publish at the moment but I will address that in the new year 👍🏻
@@StarlifeStudios thanks for the reply
Im surprised that such a major route is not electrified?
Maybe one day! 😂
Whats your favourite train?
Hi
what was 460 doing there?
170460 was on its way for an engine refurbishment at Crewe.
@@StarlifeStudiosoh, that makes sense now.
